I have been subbed and watching for awhile. I enjoy your videos so much. I have not sewn in a long time. 3 machines and server just crying to be used. I also knit. I love vintage and refashion sewing and knitting. But today you have inspired me to go back to creating my own patterns and sew up a few tunic type tops to wear with my yoga pants at that gym.

April, hi!!! Oh I bet your sewing machines will be super happy to see you :) so great to hear that you got your spark back. Was the sewjo gone, or just busy life and no time? I knit as well, but super simple, nothing to brag about, he he. I am excited for you - raglan sleeves are super easy and quick to sew up and AND perfect for the gym.

That is pretty darn clever! Thanks :) Crating this sleeve helps me understnad the construction, and ow to alter my own raglan pattern to fit me √

Hi Alisa, thanks for your video. Even though I’ve sewed a few garments, I still class myself as a beginner as I don’t do it very often, and I’ve avoided making my own patterns. I just find it a bit daunting. I’ve watched a few of your videos and after watching this one, I’m going to give it a try and see how I get on!!

I found your channel when I was working on drafting a raglan shirt pattern from a raglan tee. I could not match the neckline as bodice was from a knit pattern and collar was from woven pattern. Thank you for the tips 😉 now it looks perfect 👌🏼

    • @ThoughtfulCreativity

Ah, yes! Great that you got it figured out. By the way, you're not alone, neckline are difficult for a lot of people, especially with knits. This one is a good video with tips on how I get a perfect neckband every time. And the t shirt I made in this video was for my dad :) ua-cam.com/video/fc7V1N7PqRE/v-deo.html
