What is your personal prayer life with Jesus like aside from the Liturgy of Hours? And how is the emotional bond between the 2 of you ? I'm not trying too be too nosy but learning to deal with this aspect of the relationship with God, since i'm called myself but unaware of choosing between becoming a Sister or Consecrated Virgin. @@lilyofthevalley4740 Sorry for taking a while, Clazza. But yes, you can wear makeup as a CV and yes, at least Morning and Evening prayer are requirements of the Liturgy of the Hours, but it's greatly encouraged to pray more of it. Peace!
Hi Bridget, thank you for your question about adopting. Although adoption is possible for a single person, with this vocation specifically along with other vocations to Consecrated life (like being a priest, Religious Brother/Sister, etc.) the call really is to spiritually be able to parent many and not be focused on a particular family of your own. That is the beauty of Consecrated life- that it affords spiritual marriage with God alone which opens one up to spiritually parent and care for many people in ones local community, work, church, etc. It creates freedom for a 'radical availability' to whomever needs you whenever they need you- service to God's people and not to have to focus on a family of one's own. It also makes it hard to have a child not have a dad and just have a single parent caring for him or her. I hope this helps. Peace.

@@lilyofthevalley4740 Sorry for taking a while, Clazza. But yes, you can wear makeup as a CV and yes, at least Morning and Evening prayer are requirements of the Liturgy of the Hours, but it's greatly encouraged to pray more of it. Peace!

Hi Bridget, thank you for your question about adopting. Although adoption is possible for a single person, with this vocation specifically along with other vocations to Consecrated life (like being a priest, Religious Brother/Sister, etc.) the call really is to spiritually be able to parent many and not be focused on a particular family of your own. That is the beauty of Consecrated life- that it affords spiritual marriage with God alone which opens one up to spiritually parent and care for many people in ones local community, work, church, etc. It creates freedom for a 'radical availability' to whomever needs you whenever they need you- service to God's people and not to have to focus on a family of one's own. It also makes it hard to have a child not have a dad and just have a single parent caring for him or her. I hope this helps. Peace.
