- If you want your heating system to last, then one of these is worth fitting. Black sludge is the enemy of all heating systems. Your heating will also run more efficiently saving you money. If you would like the one as shown in the video, here is the link from my Amazon shop. amzn.to/3w9GF55

Thanks Al.
Had one in our old house, I was amazed at how much rubbish was in the system, thanks for the info. 😎 👍
No problem 👍
Great demonstration al, can't beat boss or hawk white, I still use the stuff on heating as I have a tin of the stuff from years ago. Use jet blue on potable. Cheers 👍
Great tip!
Great video Al, you make it look so easy 👍🔥
It is. ha ha. Thanks David.
Why don’t you deburr the cut pipes?
No need waste of time.
You'll invalidate the warrantee on many new boiler installs if you don't fit one.
Good info thanks loafer.
Plumbers are just weird. I still use ptfe tape on brand new olives. Mainly because a lot of fittings are made in China these days, & they leak by design.
Belt and braces. So do I.Just two wraps on the front edge.
Make it three, ha ha.
Never needed PFTE. They're compression fittings and if you don't compress the olive enough it won't make a good seal.
@@6581punk Yee of too much faith. Wait while you've had a dozen split Chinese olives made from recycled metals. You'll know.
Great posting, we have been struggling with the same problem, that Corgi etc have been unable to fix the dreaded F22 fault, for ages we have blamed the boiler. THANK YOU.
Glad it helped
We have a Fernox Omega Magnetic cleaner and it is amazing. Well I say that, I didn't fit it myself but always amazes me when we have the boiler serviced how much rubbish is accumulated.
They work well Ash.
Everytime I call a plumber or a worman my demon neighbour influence them to overcharge me? Where do I look for a reputable plumber? Thank you!
Check with family and friends who they recommend.
I highly recommend the Fernox TF1 Omega, double o-ring seal and brass body so no leaks and easy to connect a flushing adaptor.
Thanks Rod.
On an F&E system why is it unsuitable to install it straight from the boiler feed? Its the only place I can reasonably put it on my system
Well better still to have it than not.
Great film, as always, much appreciated, thank you. Chris 👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
Great video.
You have a beautiful garden..
👍🍀🇮🇪
Thank you very much!
You could of put the valves facing the other side so it's not as tight to the 1/2" pipe
True.
I had one of these fitted a few weeks back, had the system cleaned beforehand, and it worked ok initially. Previously the radiators took ages to heat up. Now, when the heating clicks on, sometimes the rads only get lukewarm until I run a hot water tap, then they heat up ok. Is this related to the magna clean, or a fault in the combi?
A fault with the combi.
Sounds like your diverter valve is sticking
@@adierob1 That's what I thought it might be. Job for an engineer methinks.
boss white is only good up to 70c that boiler will run up to 80c
I dont care, I love my boss white.
Who runs their boiler at 80°C!!
@@psi10001 Er... my missus. She sets the TRV's at 5 too. There is just no telling her.
@@psi10001 if you have a tank for hot water people turn the temp right up on the boiler
@@bikemancambs this filter is for the central heating return
Is this suitable for an F&E system rather than the combi set up shown and where should it be fitted as no room at the boiler. I presume return pipework near the hot water cylinder located in the airing cupboard but where relative to the circulation pump and both two-way hot water and heating zone motorised valves, appreciating connections are to 22mm pipework?
I understand there are two Worcester types in a system filter and a mini system filter - which to use when please Al? Thank you.
The mini system filter is just smaller to fit in tight places. It is suitable for F and E systems. It is still best located on the return as close to the boiler as possible. If you are fitting it in the airing cupboard then as low as possible next to the cylinder, Try to fit it below the pump and motorised valves. Do not worry too much if you cant as it will still work even above the valves and pump, just not so well.
Also not counterholdijg when tightening.
I conclude you are an amateur.
55 years a plumber guess I must be. Twat.
