That really struck home when you explained what your husband wanted. I told my husband and we laughed because he said I could really get on with this chap. He is exactly the same can’t change the cartridge either, phishing is a horrible thing and he would fall for it except I’ve put the fear of …… into him about clicking on anything. The other day he rushed in and said I’ve just got a message from the bank we are overdrawn etc etc. I looked at his phone and said firstly it’s not our bank and secondly we haven’t got an overdraft. He is a great renovator though and is kind and generous so he doesn’t have to be good at all things. The card btw is great.
❤ I love the white on white with the beautiful background dies. Stunning luscious powder title and oh the butterfly adorning that cute wee envelope. Hint for you... To help with the poking of the diecuts, put them on a foam pad, and use your brush and pokey tools, it stops your hand from being pricked and bonus the foam collects all the bits and you just pick it up and shake in bin. 😊 Adorable
Oh, I just love your designs and I love how down to earth you are . There is just no other illustrator I would rather spend my mornings with. I live alone and you bring me such joy. I wait for your recordings like a kid in a candy store. God Bless you.🥰
Similar experience with my husband he panics at slightest thing to do with the computer bless. The card is stunning as always, both blues are gorgeous!
What a lovely sense of depth the dies give :) like your daughter in law I dislike tent fold cards too, they don't stand nearly so well as standard cards, I rarely make them. xx
What a simple and delightful card, Christine. So understated, yet elegant. I see why you like your glue pen so much. I don't have a pen like yours, so I squirt a bit of PVA-type glue on a non-stick mat, and use a small wedge of sponge to dab glue on the back of those large intricate die cuts. Works fine. Thanks for sharing this. You are such a wealth of ideas! From Cheryl in AZ
I totally relate...when I received my first phishing email, I was completely undone until I worked through what it really was...sad time we r living in. Beautiful card Christine!
@Chrissieannie Yes, I love ger teaching style, fun, informative and supportive of all abilities. I've been a crafter all my life, but I still learn new tops, everything. I alsomlearn a lot of fab tips from your UA-cam channel. Thank you it is so appreciated 😍💜😘🧚♀️Chris @ Dark Fairy
I have distinct preferences for card folds, too. I like side fold for portrait and tent fold for landscape. I've even had trouble opening some cards expecting them to open the way I prefer. I saw it happen to Tim Holtz on a video once, too! My husband can't actually print a document so at least yours is a bit more techy. LOL This card is beautiful. Surprise. Surprise. I'm on a crafty diet until Gummiapan's August release at least as I went a bit crazy during the 4th of July sales and had a bit of sticker shock when I got my bill.
Hello Christine. On dirait que cette carte à été faite avec de la dentelle . Elle est raffinée et la poudre irise sur les éléments rajouté encore de l élégance. Merci pour la vidéo et bon dimanche
Hi. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful card, it really is something special. I have really been trying to hold off getting any of those Luscious powders due to the overwhelming colour choice and the lack of storage space I have for the items that I already have but each time I see the wonders that you work with them I'm sorely tempted. I do feel for your poor husband as I'm rather a technophobe to say the least and can't even get my ear buds to pair with a device without my husband's help! 😂 Thanks again for another lovely video and i hope you've had a super weekend.😊
Another way to help get clean cuts with very detailed dies is to put your cutting sandwich in the machine upside down, with the cutting plate on top rather than on the bottom. You use a Spellbinders Platinum, like I do, and I don't know why Spellbinders doesn't make a metal shim for it (they have one for their little Blossom machine), but I've used a Taylored Expressions metal shim in mine with success. Sounds like your Sizzix plate does the same thing. It's always tinker-tinker-tinker with these cutting sandwiches, isn't it?
Once I discovered that the Sizzix Precision plate worked in the Platinum 6 I haven’t had to bother with upside down cutting sandwiches! It does a great job!
What a lovely card it’s simply elegant. Love that unique background and that little envelope is so cute. Christine thank you for sharing your creative process with us. Now that you have finished please go and assist your husband with his printer 😂 Enjoy your Sunday as well
Love this card have several layering dies, haven't used them in awhile but this tempts me to re-visit them. Love your card and can relate to panicy husband over fake messages on his phone or whatever. We were not raised in a technical age--our telephones had operators that said NUMBER PLEASE...LOL
Beautiful layered background die and a stunningl, elegant CAS card. Love those powders, so pretty, so shimmery and so sparkly. I had to have a chuckle about hubby needed help from you. I think we all can get in a panic over something or another. LOL Did you give up on your black glass mat? I see you are back to your original one. Hugs, Brenda
I have several layering background dies but never thought of using them white on white, which looks lovely & crisp & lacy - thank you very much for sharing the idea. When you spritz after brushing on the Luscious powder is it to neutralise any residue from the Versamark stamp or to liquidise the colour & spread it around? Keeping small intricate die cuts in the paper they're cut from in order to colour them is one of the most important lessons I've learned from you, thank you again :)
I have bought this die set and had to put it through my Gemini 7 times to get it cut fully through!! Dodgy die or dodgy plates? Who knows, but it came good eventually x
So I noticed you using your old mat. Have you fallen out with the larger one 😂 I really need to get some of that peacock luscious powder. It’s gorgeous 💕
Hi Christine, I really enjoy your video, thanks for taking the time to make them. I’m curious about the luscious powders, what is the company that makes them called?
What a lovely quick and easy card yet looks so sophisticated. Well done. You’ve done,it again. Christine sorry to bother you I have mentioned it before what is the name of your gilding wax. Name and colour. I tried looking thro previous videos and could not find it. Thanks as always for sharing. All men flap lol. My husband panics too.

Lovely color and beautiful design. Noticed you are no longer using the black glass mat.
Can't see any dirty marks on the black... I've messed up a few card bases because of that!🤨

@@Chrissieannie Exactly why I replaced mine! 😁
Lovely card. I recently broke down & had 25 colors of the Luscious Powders shipped to me in the US, so looking forward to seeing you use them more.
That sounds like quite a break down, I'll have to see what I can do!
