The diamonds are the best part! Perfect finishing touch, bringing everything together. Chris, I saw a YT content creator's husband take apart her Big Shot to repair a roller arm of sorts. He went through many levels of deconstruction by just removing every screw as he went. You may not repair the machine, but at least you'll have your missing cutting pieces. Grab some screwdrivers of various sizes and have at it. 🙂 From Cheryl in AZ
Hi. I had a cuttlebug machine for 30 yrs. I was trying to emboss with a 3-d embossing folder and broke my machine. My husband and I took it all apart thinking the rollers just got misaligned. Didnt work, after there wasnt enough pressue. So out it went. I bought another cuttlebug (second hand) but I want a cutting machine that has an opening wider then 6''. My parents were married 62 yrs. Your card turned out beautifully, love the roman numerals. Enjoy your day. Tfs.Sherry 🇨🇦.
Excellent card. Elegant as always🎉. I can imagine how you feel about your machine jamming. I get very upset if my machine is struggling and I give up. Seems to happen with 3d folders. My friend celebrate her DIAMOND wedding anniversary last year. She was young when she got married but they have lasted and are still devoted, very outgoing and happy.
Sorry to hear about your machine. Beautiful card though made with the trusty stand-in. Hope you manage to get the die and mat out successfully. Thanks Christine and have a good day x
I don’t decorate, sometimes I add an insert which might be printed with a client’s requested text, but generally I prefer to leave the inside of Card blank for the sender’s personal hand written message.
Classy shaker card Chris. I am sure it will be loved. So sorry you had machine trouble today, I am glad you had a backup machine too. Have a wonderful rest of your day.
I can totally empathize with you as I jammed up a Gemini electric machine last year. My hubby took out every screw imaginabIe trying to loosen the rollers. To no avail. I mourned the loss of an arch die. But after your disaster, you have created a truly gorgeous card worthy of such an auspicious anniversary. Bravo!
@@lorimantovi6932 I've taken out every screw imaginable and is all apart, except for the rollers which are clinging on tight to my plates and dies. I may take what's left of it outside tomorrow and drop it!🤣

Another very pretty card👌TFS. Whilst I am typing this comment your die cutting tip#4 about putting square dies in the machine at an angle has just popped up on my iPad 😳 I think we are being watched😂😂😂 Hope you get your dies out of the machine eventually 🥰🥰
I can't believe you were able to bounce back and produce such an amazing card! It is absolutely beautiful and will go on my list of favorite cards you've made. So elegant and l love the additional diamonds. Stunning! 🩷 PS: I know you've already ordered a replacement, but if you have a handyman in the family, it may be worthwhile to have them look at it anyway. There is a UA-cam video titled "Repair Spellbinders Platinum Die Cutting & Embossing Machine". It has no audio but does show how to disassemble and the gear mechanisms. If it turns out to be just the handle mechanism, Spellbinders sells a complete handle kit ($6 USD) and you'll have another backup machine. At worse, hopefully they can tinker with it to salvage your plates and dies. 🤞
@@Chrissieannie You may need to change the video setting for playback speed to slow it down at the point where he's taking it apart. It's a pretty short video with no audio, but hopefully it will help. Good luck! 🩷

WOW! I've never had a machine break! My goodness. So sorry for your loss. As you know, I have all five of my Sizzix machines from the original to the Switch but haven't experienced a breakage. One of the advantages of having the same brand for them all is that the sandwiches are basically the same. (Not that I don't have to refer to the instructions on occasion when I've forgotten how to make the correct sandwich!) Got to love Amazon when you want something right away. This is a beautiful anniversary card and the addition of the "diamonds" just puts it over the top. Lovely, lovely.

Beautiful card! Sorry about the cutting machine. I’ve had my Big shot for awhile now and have learned to never force it. At least you had back up! Still turned out wonderful!❤❤❤
Oh Christine, fingers crossed for you to be able to get your big shot working again. Maybe your husband can get it to work or at least get your plates out. I was cutting glitter card too with my first machine which was a little xcut one. I was devastated. I love this card, and the work that's gone into it is visible to the recipients.
Hi Christine. What a fabulous card -- so elegant the white on white. I felt just horrified for you when your Platinum cutter jammed up. I still have and depend on my Big Shot. It's been quite a work horse and I hope it keeps going (I gave my Granddaughter my old Cuttlebug to get her started). Thanks so much for the great demo. I have avoided shaker cards due to the extreme stickiness of the foam tape. Hope you can get the Platinum unstuck. Just saw the additional diamomds. Yeah. ❤ 🇨🇦 😊
Sorry about your machine, Christine. If you look on UA-cam, I bet there is something to help you take it apart to at least get your dies out. One of my machines did the same thing and my husband opened it up and got my dies out. Couldn’t save the machine but at least I had my dies😂. Your card is just beautiful 🤗
I love these kind of cards gorgeous. I’ve got the platinum 6 which I love the sidekick which I love the big shot foldaway and the spellbinder scout tbh I don’t know why I bought them but a gal can’t have too many accessories 🤣🤣x
The hand crank one is on my desk, the Switch is on another table, if I need to do some Die-cutting mid video, it’s right there. I often want to demonstrate how dies etc are used in a machine
beautiful card! The additional diamonds really made it! I felt the same way when I forced my first Cuttlebug too far! You keeping asking yourself, "why did I do that"?
Hello Christine. Oups désolée pour ta machine . J espère que ca pourra s arranger . Pour coller sur l acétate il paraît que le glossy accent peut convenir comme colle sinon le double face . J aime beaucoup tout ce scintillement pour cette carte anniversaire de diamant . 👏👏👋👋
Gorgeous card! So sorry about your machine. It happened to me, but luckily my husband disassembles all sorts of things & has the special tools for disassembling those click together plastic parts without breaking them (he's an engineer). If we weren't on the other side of the planet, I'd ask him to take a look. Are you brave enough to potentially break the machine completely to extract the dies & perhaps the plates? A hammer & something that will fit thru the apperature, like a long screwdriver, might dislodge it enough to grab with pliers. Just dislodging one of the plates should enable you to extract the rest. Or just whack the heck out of the plastic parts & remove them as they break. It will expose the metal parts & other screws holding everything together. In future you might want to stagger the plates enough to be able to grab one to wiggle it out if something jams up. Fingers crossed you can save as much as possible.
I could do with an engineer… I thought I might try to wreck the top plastic plate… break it in order to wiggle it out, but taking a hammer to the machine sounds like fun !🤣🤣🤣
Christine, I love your channel and you are too clever by half! However, I don't understand what you use for envelopes to fit all those large square cards you create. A standard sheet of cardstock is too small to mOe an envelope from and I've not seen commercial envelopes that size in the marketplace. FYI, in the US we have to add extra postage to the already costly rate for mailing a square first-class envelope. Best regards from Virginia, USA.
The majority of commercial cards in the UK are square. Envelopes can be easily purchased from any envelope supplier here. My square cards are not terribly large… less than 6x6ins I know about the postal rates for square cards in the US, but you can put a square card in a rectangular envelope. If I want to make an envelope for really large cards I use sheets of A3 sized paper
Wow that’s beautiful . My first die cutting machine was a cuttle bug I loved it but unfortunately arthritis got the better of me so I’ve got cut n boss but I also Cricut machine and my Dad brought me brother machine x x x
