    I doubled up with laughter over your beer tasting.
    Another great series of videos. Rob Roy way seems to be a very nice walk with beautiful scenery. The only drop down for me is the bad accomodation situation.
    What a pity that I live in Bavaria and the journey is too long for making some more of these scotish long distance trails. In 2019 I made the WHW with two mates. It was fantastic.
    On the other side I´m more than happy to live here next to "my" beloved alps. And there are still quite a lot tours for me to walk 🙂
    Looking forward to see more of your videos. And by the way you have 10 more subscribers than yesterday!!!

      10 😂 Guinness always gets a 10! Thanks for your kind comments. The RRW was better than I expected, especially in near perfect conditions. Cloud inversion too - wow. I did the WHW in 2018, not sure if you’ve seen that series. It was great. Always looking for new trails and new subs! Please tell your hiking friends to subscribe… (half of Bayern would be nice 😉)

    What a cracking end to a great hike Justin. I've gotta do that one next year, but wild camp it. The Guinness gets a solid 10/10 from me, but I've got to say that coming from Belfast. All the very best. 👍

    I live about 10 minutes walk from the Rob Roy statue in Stirling, Justin, so I'm familiar with the area you walked through. I've actually walked from Drymen to Killin along the Rob Roy Way. However, your photos have made me realise that I haven't appreciated the scenery enough. Your enthusiasm helps as well. By the way, not a bad golf swing.

    Justin, you are a delight! I'm so glad I found your videos, they've clenched my decision to do this particular walk with my 16 year old son this September. I'm in the US, and the only walk I've done so far was the coast-to-coast in England in 2019. It rained on me a good bit of the time but it changed my life (I did it solo for my 50th birthday). Covid and some family tragedies have kept me from doing another, but this year is the year, and I've decided to bring my son along to build a bit of character. I thoroughly enjoyed your videos, and can't wait to do this walk!

      @JustinWhiting9  9 місяців тому +1

      Thank you Ann! Sorry to hear of your difficulties, I hope you have a great adventure. I hope you and your son subscribe aswell 😂 There are plenty of other trails on my channel too, including my C2C. The RRW is pretty easy and the second half doesn’t have much accommodation. If you get that booked up though it’s a good trail. 🤠

      @@JustinWhiting9 I subscribed right away, actually. :) May I ask which trail was the most beautiful, in your opinion? While I am always gung ho for a big challenge, my son is not so much. He plays hockey and goes to the gym at least twice a week, but has never hiked like this and is a bit resistant. So I'm trying to keep the distance, miles per day, and hills reasonable, yet wow him with enough beautiful scenery to make him want to do another. Also, I'm looking for less people on the trail, which is why I ruled out the West Highland Way. Would you be so kind as to share with me which trail you think fits that bill? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!

    • @JustinWhiting9
      @JustinWhiting9  9 місяців тому +1

      Thank you Ann. 👍 The Great Glen Way is about as easy as it comes and beautiful, but not particularly dramatic (apart from Loch Ness). Hadrian’s Wall is quite varied, visiting 2 historic Roman cities (Carlisle & Newcastle) as well as the ancient Roman forts, the high wild country, on a different route coast to coast. It does not have mountains but is more varied and maybe more interesting for a teenager. The Skye Trail is the most impressive trail in the UK but very hard and remote. I love the Cumbria Way (English Lake District) because it’s my favourite corner of this world. Some people don’t like the first and last 15 miles though. Choices, choices. Maybe the WHW is best all round, although as you say it’s busy. Less so in September though because all the schools are back in both England and Scotland then. If you can, get him to watch all the videos, see which one lights his fire (easier said than done, I have a 16-yr old son of my own…. 😉). Justin.
