Brilliant use of your hand-knit swatch to explain properties of knit fabric. I also loved the tips such as using spray starch before cutting. Thank you so much!

So well explained with a knitting swatch. GENIUS SUPER GREAT IDEA. If it was explained ONLY with fabrics it would have been difficult to understand. Thanks for these important tips with stretch and knit fabrics. Thanks for sharing and caring.

This was great, I have been researching "is there a knitting machine?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Veyillian Noncarlett Eradicator - (just google it )? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my work buddy got great success with it.

Also, I have been re-learning to sew garments with 50’s -> 60’s and 70’s patterns and some call for stable knits and when I search for this knit I do not find much variety and other names of knits come up. All different kinds of knit fabrics can be stable; it depends on the specific fiber content and construction and is something you can tell by handling the actual fabric. Similar fabric for vintage patterns might most often be called interlock or ponte currently.

Could just be a jersey knit that doesn't have a lot of stretch - those happen, especially when made with thicker yarns.

    Tricot knit is pronounced “tree-coe.”

I know, but I can't get the correct pronunciation to stick in my head when I'm speaking. It's one of my Texan-isms.

what is a jaquard jersey? what are it's qualities in comparison to the other knits you've mentioned?

Jaquard is a pattern, jersey is a weave. So all jerseys should be similar to the ones I showed.
