It's really helpful to see how the fabrics drape in your hand and your verbal descriptions are clearly expressed too. I use mostly nylon lycra & powernet in its many forms (plain, matt, shiny, printed, metallic, hologrammed, sequinned etc) for dancewear, which wasn't included, but I'm not so familiar with the usual dressmaking types so this was very helpful for me. Thank you.
Hi just found this video ...WELL DONE dear , yr descriptions of the chosen fabrics were clear and so helpful especially for a newbie like me . Thank you and keep going u r doing a great job .

This is just superb, I been tryin to find out about "etsy knitting patterns" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Veyillian Noncarlett Eradicator - (do a search on google )? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my friend got cool results with it.

Could you talk about fabric care and pilling? I have bought lightweight rayon spandex blend knits that got pilled after a few washings and just look terrible. Maybe it was just cheap fabric. But it’s not worth my time to sew, definitely. Thanks for this informative video!
Hey i know this video is old but im trying to make a pair sweatpants, can i use french terry for it? I want it to be a bit thick but still breathable and and soft in the inside, im going for the champion reverse weave sweatpants structure btw
Can you recommend patterns to use with the poly spandex fabrics. I just bought some fabric and a really good price and couldn't pass it up. I'm interested in dress patterns, thank you.
Thank you! Do you know which ones pill? I have purchased leggings that just look awful after a short time. I tried using a fabric shaver, but then got holes. What’s the best fabric type for heavy use leggings? Thank you for help
gaylemae hey I’d say a real nice one is a double knit or double brushed you wanna have some weight on it and then there is a lot of performance types most of them you can make work for this
something around a 20 singles jersey. that'll be a nice weight for a heavy tee shirt, kind of like a rugby tee. the lower the number the thicker the yarn. the gsm (Grams per Square Meter) will be around 200
French terry not heard of in 🇬🇧, did you say Liverpool fabric ? Spandex in uk is Lycra now it use to be called Spandex but it got a bad name in the 80s shame as spandex invented Lycra, spandex is an anagram for ‘ expand ‘ . ITY fabric not heard of . thanks for sharing. Happy sewing 🧵 .

Which fabric would make a great beach blanket? Washable, cool to the touch, and sand can’t get through.
Try a terry cloth!
what about care for these fabrics? do they shrink? can they be washed, dried, or ironed?
So where do you find the good sweater fleece?
Can you recommend patterns to use with the poly spandex fabrics. I just bought some fabric and a really good price and couldn't pass it up. I'm interested in dress patterns, thank you.
