    You've done a marvelous service for us! Thank you so much! I have had the FZ2500 for a few years and have known that there was a lot more to it that I was doing but I just couldn't get a grasp on it. You have helped me big time! And I love your delivery. No extra noise....perfect focus. Plus, being an American, I can't get enough of your English accent. Haha!

    Thanks Graham so much for doing a guide series for the FZ2500. You wonderful guides and information where the reason I had bought the FZ200. I traded in the FZ200 on the FZ2500 when they came out and was hoping you would produce a series of instructional videos on it. Thanks so much for all the hard work you put in on sharing you wonderful knowledge.

    The video series I’ve been waiting for Graham, thank you. As usual very straight forward and well presented. I’ve had the camera for over 6 months and read the manual cover to cover, watched numerous UA-cam videos and still learned some new things thanks to your research and knowledge. Looking forward to the rest of the series. Any plans to produce a field guide?

    thanks for finally making a guide, i figured out most of the video things i needed to know, but thanks for doing this and for your time, this in my mind even thou i have a few cameras, is the most underated video camera out there, even if it is a bridge, bang for buck, the best camera with alot of potential and i hope there is a fz 2000 fanatic who can create a custom mod software or firmware for this cam, it really needs it to truly shine in brightness but it will still shine all the time,

    Hi! Can this camera record while using the clean HDMI OUT? I'm asking this because the Panasonic FZ 1000 and FZ 1000 II, when you connect it to a monitor or video mixer (using its HDMI connector), the cammera cannot record on the SD card in the same time. Thanks!

    Hi, would you consider making a review of Lumix GX880? The super-wide angle capabilities and a variety of lenses available, sort of itch me to buy this camera, plus it has RAW.

  • @barandcross
    @barandcross 5 років тому

    What is the manual focus like during a zip zoom? If you auto focus on a far distant subject at maximum zoom, then switch to manual focus mode and fast zoom out to wide and back in again at close up, does the lens maintain focus throughout the range and hold it at the wide angle end? Almost performing like a par focal lens ( although I think the lens itself is not actually a par focal lens?) Thanks

    Great and thorough review! Does this camera split longer videos into smaller files? If so, at what clip length (shooting 4K) does the camera split the file?

    • @GrahamHoughton12
      @GrahamHoughton12  6 років тому

      Yes it will split the video clips. Although there is no time restriction the filesystem goes have to break the files into 4GB sections, though in reality when assembled on the video time line there is only a fraction of a second where the file ends and restarts. In most instances this will go un-noticed.

    • @GrahamHoughton12
      @GrahamHoughton12  3 місяці тому

      @@GodfreyGrima I don’t recommend the raynox lenses on the fz1000/2000 as the vigilante means to need to zoom in a lot to overcome it. Best use an achromatic lens of the same filter thread for best results- for flash the Godox TT350o on camera or with the godox xpro o trigger for off camera

    Have loved my 20-years of Lumix cameras :-) Just bought the FZ2500 (in Au). Not perfect at everything--what camera is? It's been discontinued, but I feel it's a bit of a Classic--and was on sale at 25% off... I like its long-throw Leica with 16-elements in 11-groups, pole and aspherics. Thank you for your superb tutorial series! How's your FZ2000 going after some 6-years or more of use!

    Hello again Mr. Graham, I did see the videoś about the FZ2000 different times, and finally I start to understand this camera a bit ;-). But I have one BIG question ! I have a problem with Raw files taken in the 24 mm stand. If I import them to Darktable ( or other software ) I have a totally distorted image with lens deformation and there is much vignetting. I have ask the seller of the camera and he says, fault of the software... I contacted Panasonic about this and they only said use our software ( I can't because I use Linux ). But could you look at you're raw file taken at 24 mm please ? Because I think it is a fault of the camera. I posted it on different fora but nobody has seen this before, and I don't know what to do.......

    Good Morning Graham, Not related to this camera but the FZ-300, do you have any details -link etc to the Sony Tele-Extender lens used on your FX-300 video? Do you know of any other such add-on lenses for the FZ-300. Of interest I 'attached my doublet close-up lens on the front of the Panasonic Tele-Extender lens and its close working distance came down to approx. 20 inches. A pity the front housing of the Panasonic lens does not have a thread to attach filters-mainly for lens front protection. Many thanks & Kind Regards from Tasmania.

    • @GrahamHoughton12
      @GrahamHoughton12  6 років тому

      You can put the close up lens at the rear of the LT 55E lens as it is an afocal lens. It doesn't need to be on the front to work. I covered this in my last group newsletter

    Do you think as a first proper camera ever the Canon eos 4000d is the best option? Or 2000d

    • @GrahamHoughton12
      @GrahamHoughton12  6 років тому

      You will find the 4000D is half the price of the FZ2000 but it has a lot of limitations. Smaller fixed LCD screen, no electronic EVF, only HD video, 3 fps shooting, only 9 AF points.
      Whilst it will give very decent images you will only have the 18-55 kit lens which is also quite limiting.

    What's this? Your videos are now in 4K! The video quality looks fantastic with a 4k 43" monitor. Now I am excited to see some 4k footage from these bridge cameras. I am really considering getting one for longer reach. I currently use a gx85 and a g7 and this would be a nice edition for some longer zoom shots for birds etc. I also am looking at the beast of a camera, the Nikon P1000. Yes it has it's limitations, but in good light the 4k looks good. But I still am leaning towards a Panasonic. Thanks for your efforts. It is appreciated!

      The lumix will offer a slightly better low light video performance than Nikon p 1000, the fz uses a 8mp crop of the sensor, so uses approx 40% of the 1inch sensor, where as the nikon uses perhaps 25% of a sensor one 1/4 the size

I'm a long time user of .CR2 and .NEF raw files and always had better results converting to .jpg in the pc using DxO OpticsPro compared with .jpg from the camera. Not so with .RW2 even with Silkypix. I find the .jpg from the camera to be so good that it's not worth the bother, Photos in Windows 10 does a good job of slight manipulation.
