Now that the farming industry is just like a restaurant, the waiter & waitress became the rule & price maker, because they faced the final customers, although they did not produce any food, but they set up many barriers to screen the true producer to make a fair living from their product and free of choice to sell their product.
It is unfair trade. it needs change.
Consumer's are paying higher prices for every agricultural products they are buying . farmers are not getting even the cost price of their products . one of the main reason is because they don't have storage facility of their products . exporters and traders are exploiting them .all the agricultural products used by consumers are sold at very high price in the retail markets . for example spices grains edible oil vegetables dry fruits wheat rice pulses etc .the retail price of red chilli powder is rupees five hundred per kilogram .all the governments are fully aware of the same anomaly .
Pension for farmers : who will pay? It has to be the employer (wealthy farmer). Can't be any govt, since they are not employed by the govt. Of course some form of social security for old poor farm laborers needs to be in place.
They are feeding nation

I was just thinking of tid-bit details :) Indeed we all owe so much to not only the farmers, but most of the working folks at the bottom of the economic pyramid. We (all of us 'english' speaking folks here including myself) are all fooling the poor people of this country by showing off our degrees and certificates or resting on inherited (or worse stolen) wealth.
Farmers get 2 rupees for tamatar. Tu khata hai 40 ka. Farmer ko kya milta? Starvation, loss, debts and suicide.

Farmers protest should be peaceful not violent as had been done last time. Tractor should not be used for protest. They have no right to create tension and chaos, putting trouble for the public.

These farmers want pension while working underpaid for landowners while farmers in bihar up can't even afford modern machinery like tractor or thrashers . Why weren't they answering when they were suffocating delhi ? Low income farmers are motivated by pension and loan waiver whereas the rallies are instigated by landowners and brokers who are actually responsible for their exploitation
This protest is consequential to the previous one.

True. But not giving them what they deserve isn't a "good deal". Soyabean in Mharahstra is 4k per quintal, and the avg cost for harvesting it is almost 3.5k +.
People say why to wave the debt, that farmer is left with just 500 per quinta in his hand that too after 4 months of Hardwork. How about setting up a manufacturing plant everyyear and that doesn't yield you anything? Same is the situation with majority of the farmers.. Think of their Mental well being too if not physical bcz they are working in farm right from their birth. Our country has a Fractured System that doesn't let Farmers have good earnings . Plz don't forget that India was not economically shattered like other countries in covid just bcz we have our backbone as Agriculture. @@cptninja7890

Most of the countries of the world have banned it knowing that EVMs can be tampered with. The fact that the opposition parties and the media are not surprised by the use of EVMs in India shows contempt for Indian democracy.

If EVM could be tampered, then why Karthi Chidambaram, Congress MP defends EVM and he said EVM cannot be tampered. To be frank this is not a real farmers protest like 2years back protest almost same and this time is more advanced with 6 months ration and chapati making machine and water and all other fecilities.
