@@d_arcturus It is still a thing in 3K, heroes that decide that riding into spears is a good idea will lose their horse on impact. It is one of those things that make enough sense there to not be too annoying. Also dismounting works only for heroes.
By the way, does anyone know where I could get that piece of bgm that absolutely launched the scene into the epicsphere?
Seeing the constantly dropping Imperial Authority makes me wince in barely concealed pain.
Yeah, it's something I think new players do wrong (not saying this feller is): you've got no good reason to confederate straight away. There's plenty of expansion to be had from the VC and Marienburg, and the AI electors have much bigger armies than you would for the same territory / income. But hey, this is a pvp match and making a super sweet video, so it's all good. I think pvp campaign works best with a fairly easy campaign setting.

@AgustinBre you get major debuffs for having negative imperial authority and it costs 3 to confederate. A faction wide debuff for a low level settlement is not a good trade in most cases.
In this case, the player was making the decision based on role-play or cinematic reasons rather than strategic thinking or planning.
Its better to let the AI build up settlements because they can never go bankrupt then you confederate and take a level 5 city instead of a level 1 town.
I once had like 6 Imperial Authority but the whole empire was already in ruins with Festus and One Eye razing everything left and right. A single tear dropped on my eye that day

Man, having a dismount option for units (and lords) would be so great to get our own cinematic moments in the campaigns

Treat it like Artillery when the crew leaves the artillery piece
By the gods, please give us the ability to dismount/mount in combat.
Imagine one lord on a dragon, seeing the enemy lord, diving into the midst of combat on the dragon and dismounting it to let it wreak havoc while he duels the enemy lord.

to be fair, all campaigns are hard on the big map
so recommending the three order base game factions with raletively tame mechanics and relatively "normal" rosters makes sense
It isn't Warhammer if you win all the time
2 simple thing to fix that :
- a smarter and logical diplomacy, especially the counts and order faction. An actual defense mission to fight kharaz or festus with your allies, not just autoresolve to a random skaven/orc "attack" every 10 turns
- an actual useful counts who can stand on its own more than 10 turns (or 2 turns for hochland) so the diplomacy game can works, more than babysitting the whole empire as franz and resettling the ruins. Boring!

I suspect it's one of the reasons (alongside age rating) they don't turn on blood effects in these videos, to avoid incoherences between clips shot with and without mounts
In Shogun 2 TW you can tell your Cav units to dismount. It was very useful for a desperate defence. I'd love to see it in TWWH3, but I think it'd be buggy as hell.
@@alexrangel7860 to do that in this one I think they'd have to do an explosion and simply spawn / Despawn without any fancy anim sadly
I’d love to believe this is how one could play the Empire, but the amount of times you can see he’s near bankrupt and has -9 Imperial Authority, really makes me think otherwise.
Yeah its probably on easy difficulty, just to show off the mechanics.

Yeah, the most unrealistic thing about this entire video is how he has enough Prestige to afford using it for diplomacy shenanigans, when you need to scrap and save every bit of it to use for dilemmas.

This has to be one of the best produced and edited, most fun to watch Empire campaigns I have yet seen (if somewhat truncated to highlights).

Summon the Empire DLCs!
The game needs all the content.
Edit: Almost forgot. Add in the ability to make Defensive and Military Alliances to Elector Counts so that you and they can use the Outpost Mechanic. Not to mention give back the landmark in Mordheim back to the Empire.
Yeah or atleast make it so you can recover in their territories or order their armies if your fealty is high enough with the elector counts
@@Pissviperx Also more uses for stuff like Prestige for them (as well as for HElves to give them more uses to their Influence and to Vampirates to have them get more uses to their Infamy). Like boosting a province, rolling out a magical item from Altdorf's magic vault and in Karl's case rolling out the Empire Dragon for a limited time for some extra carnage.
That is the best TW: Warhammer Video on UA-cam! Its funny, it gots epic cinematics and give new players a look at this beautiful faction. Please give us more of those playthrous.
Dang impressive piece of marketing. The siege of Eilhart brought back some major Med 2 and Empire nostalgia for me, and the editing of the battles between Festus and Vlad were top notch.

Wow I expected this to be some Lore series where you present some Lore about all the LLs in the game, but I ain't mad because this is absolute fire. Love the fast pace while still showing a lot of what is going on.
i looooove the parallel timeline of karl in sylvania and Archie Van-Hulio Veerlagn in hochland- like bouncing between the battles was so genius and amazing

I wish that when you brought an empire faction back from the dead it gave you an automatic 'Military Access'. I hate when you bring them back like a good emperor and they tell you "You are trespassing sir!"

Turn 53, and the Archlector's army is Swordsmen, Spearmen w/o shields, Free Company Militia, and Archers. An... interesting army build, I will say.
It was more epic and interesting than the entire "Rings of Power" season. Need episode 2! 😅

Great video! It highlights some of the problems with current empire though:
1) Imperial Authority is broken, the dude spent most of the game with a penalty of -6 or more
2) the glow in empire troops is horrendous, they didn't have that before.
3) A starting wizard would be nice for Karl. Or reduce the wizard building to tier 3
Yep, too many enemies/spawns in the empire that kill the elector counts basically instantly or enough that you are always in the big minus

well I think so. watch the greenskin and von carstein introduction trailer and there you got 2 VERY epic themes. especially the von carstein one is top notch
Is it really good work to fool new players into something thats just not representable in the game? Exactly like the music, most of what you see here is fake and not how it will be ingame. You cant spend your points on diplomacy stuff because you need to save it all up for dilemmas to give one example.
@@PuellaMagiHomuraAkemi well if you are playing on normal like I'm sure he did, or on easy (even on hard) you can play like this and just taket he punishment. tho it is far from the optimal way. I usually had a lot of those points very very fast so from turn to turn you can spend the points. But ye, music and the dismount animations are not in the game sadly, you are right about that tho don't forget. This one is pure entertainment-marketing and I mean he IS playing the game just in a weird way and with some specially edited scenes
