Noel Ramos You're right, but there is a wrong way to play a character, and in Falco's case, it's the unnecessarily reckless playstyle with a lack of lasers that Mango usually implements with him. This is why Falco doesn't get very good results these days.
ChillTerumi Mango has always been a read based and reaction based player, and has always worked for him, these day he has been looking slower so inturn he has been playing technical, having reads is just as good as being technical, and it's hard to pin the failure of all falcos on just mango.
It's funny how Mango is being pointed out as having lack of lasers when he actually does use quite a bit of lasers in his neutral game whether he's reckless or not. If there's anyone that doesn't optimize his laser game, it's Westballz ironically enough.

I looked up event hub's character match up on Google, and it says that Falco is slightly better when matched up against every character. Why is Falco not considered the best character? Falco's gun is very good at controlling spacing, and it might be enough to put him over Fox.
I think a lot of players see Falco as simply a "worse Fox", and underestimate the independent value he has over Fox in some situations. His worse matchups against Puff and Peach compared to Fox might discourage new players from maintaining a Falco when Hungrybox and Armada are dominating everything. PPMD showed that Falco has all the tools he needs to fight every matchup. It's just a matter of time before someone brings the character back. It seems like Mango has realized that historically he did better with the bird, so maybe he'll make a comeback with his new all-Falco approach.
I think we have a lot of falcos..... Just nobody who is good. It has become a character that takes so much time and patience to get good with todays meta.

PP will always be my favorite falco but as of right now, Mango (& Westballz on a good day) is singlehandedly keeping Falco relevant in the meta.
He really showed some improvement especially in laser placement vs moons style. I think ppmd should analyze this from both sides
