Very effective use of storytelling early on, where you show more than tell, unfold the mystery, then build to the climax and true horror. Example: We see the girl sitting alone in the kitchen, looking pensive. Then from another angle, we see the mother, shredding the poultry. She has marks on her neck. Then the conversation, the mention of “feeding him”, the reason for the food, and the sly betrayal. We see the threat, and then realize the double-cross, which is the true horror. Fear in layers, like an onion. Well done. Things get a little too showy in the bedroom scene, imo. Even though I do not believe that characters, even in horror films, should always make the perfect decisions, as if they knew they were in a horror movie, I still think most reasonable decisions apply. I don’t see someone casually getting that close to a threat like that, or turning their back on it, unless it is to bolt at full speed. Good job.
The girl took to long in the room, put the food on the floor and get out ! SHE should have been running behind her mother's car ! She stopped on the porch, WHY !!!??? keep running !!!!!
She should’ve been nice to the monster then it wouldn’t have attacked her. Also I can’t believe her mom would do that! She literally just left her daughter alone with a snow covered man. Also she could’ve just called one of those animal experts to come to the house and take it to a rescue center. SMH. That moms probably some clout chaser who makes a living off of claiming she owns an exotic animal, when she mistreats it! Seriously! The mom is like the female version of Joe Exotic.

I saw the mistakes and said them as I watched: no put it on the bed, don't turn your back, don't turn around, close the door, don't stop and stop again. 😱 Now for me the bed, the door, front door and don't stop. The monsters make up reminds me of a monster in another short film called the smileing man from a UA-cam channel called alter you guys did a great job on the monster very creepy I hope you will do more short horror films
My feeling is this: they were starving to death because that THING was eating all the food and they ran out of money. The mom didn't want her daughter to suffer. Either way, terrible decisions are made in terrible circumstances. I've already made my mind up a long time ago that I'd save my nephews (no kids yet) before myself.
