The lyrics are built on Martha Graham world famous choreographer. quote "a dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful.” So it's about being scared of losing the passion for their work/art, what they love. Shadows and light. Black and white.
What genre are you into? BTS did so many musical genre. Idk why they’re categorized as a K-pop group bc they are anything but! You can check out Mic Drop, House of Cards, Look Here, Singularity, Idol, ON: Kinetic Manifesto, etc. All are of different genres.
Since you intend to go into lyrics, BTS’ songs carry LAYERS of meaning. Usually not about romantic love as in most pop, but more about complexities of human passions, as their relationship with their ART, as it is in this case. As song writers, they can be poetic, philosophical, very playful, flirty, plain humorous and satirical (they began as Hiphop, and still do hard hitting rap). Anyway, just wanted to warn you to remain open and look CLOSELY at the lyrics. Some of the lyric videos out there can be quite inaccurate and clumsy. The best translations, with explanations are by Doolset. Enjoy the discovery!
Kpop is not a genre, it's an industry, like Hollywood is not a genre :) BTS do many genres in their music, both for group and solo careers. They're genuinely good people who write genuinely good music 😌
If you like lyricism, you’ve found the right group. The boys are thoughtful writers with deep lyrics and most of the songs are not romantic. They began almost 10 years ago writing about youth and the lack of dreams within the Korean youth and they wrote about societal expectations and mental health. They also have used psychological themes in their album (of which Black Swan is a part of). Have fun exploring BTS. I suggest Fake Love, Butterfly, Blood Sweat and Tears.
Butterfly is so beautiful, and poignant. Even their light seeming stuff usually has meaning. There has never been a song about loving someone who is suicidal as far as I know..
Blue & grey, the truth untold, louder than bombs have amazing lyrics n being amazing songs too. I think you gonna really the song for the melody n lyrics.
Yes, most things that appear as romantic songs on the surface can indeed be taken that way and are written to allow that interpretation ~ But, actually have a deeper meaning. For instance in I Need You the chorus is “I need you girl” but RM has said it was a lyrical choice he made because it sounded and flowed better. The song was supposed to be “I need you friend” and was about BTS themselves and their bond. But it’s also part of the BU, so it’s also an allusion to the fictional relationships in the storyline, and another layer of meaning is about the power of friendship bonds in general. Many of their songs are like that.
@@nickforell1 if you want to react to butterfly by, i hope react to 2 versions. BUTTERFLY andBUTTERFLY PROLOUGUE MIX. One with raps and other one with no raps
Don't expect the next BTS song you hear to sound like this one, because it won't! But the song will be well done, with a deep meaning (mostly), and the MV will be fantastic They do almost all genres, and it's always a surprise. They have a huge discography and the B-sides are a treasure trove. Enjoy! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I can’t wait to see be amazed by them ! You’ll see - give them another chance ! The rabbit hole to BTS is so wonderful and deep ! Enjoy - lots of us will guide you 💜
@@nickforell1 OPPS I apologize, I commented too soon but you completely misunderstood the song though 😅 pay more attention to the lyrics cause this is not a breakup song or a song that talks about a relationship. But I really appreciate that you put the lyrics on and tried to understand it even though you are so far off from the meaning of the song. Anyways I can explain it to you: below 👇
@@nickforell1 HERE'S THE TRUE MEANING OF BLACK SWAN: The HEART no longer beats When hearing the MUSIC play Tryna pull up Seems like TIME has stopped Oh that would me my first DEATH I've always AFRAID of Pre-chorus: No song can no longer affect me Crying out a silent cry Chorus: Every noise and sound has been cut Killin' me now Killin' me now Do you hear me yeah? With these lyrics you can understand that the whole song is about (the loss of passion for the things that you most love and enjoy) which is the most cruelest thing an artist can ever experience And BTS is exactly experiencing that at that time so they turned it into a song which is also referring to a film Black Swan were the main character is a ballerina For them the loss of passion for music is equal to death, hence the term "first death" from the quote in the film "A dancer dies twice, the first is when the dancer stops dancing and the first is more painful than the last" BTS are not just performers, they don't just sing and dance on stage and do what they are told like other Kpop does. BTS is an anomaly in Kpop industry and BTS MUSIC are quite different to K-Pop so I hope you won't think that that's how a Kpop sound's like when reacting to BTS. BTS are legit artist
@@rafaelsmith5737 Please, don't be rude with someone who is hearing/watching BTS for the first time... don't make a bad image for Army, ok? Try to help, not criticize! Spread love, my dear. Borahae!
It's not about a relationship between people, It's about the fear of loosing the passion for dancing and making music as an artist. Once a dancer stops dancing that's how they die their first death. BTS has 2 dancers who are dancing for Life, even before BTS. Jimin the one who did the solo dance parts, was the top student of a contemporary dance apartment and J-Hope was a street dancer for 10 before.
What the hell is a contemporary dance apartment BTS lived in a large luxury apartment together an apartment is someplace where you live! Are you some type of idiot German studied contemporary dance at a high school of the arts. He also attended a Dance Academy where he learned hip-hop dancing not a dance apartment a Dance Academy. What the hell does even bore BTS mean when you bore someone well just look up the word boring.
@heyRobWest Do you feel cool now that you insulted someone whose native language isn't English? does it make you feel better? Is your life complete now? I feel like the song UGH is meant for you, angry for nothing. And you wrote German instead of Jimin
@@nickforell1 Just want to inform you BTS has millions of international fans and you will get responses from all over the world when it comes to BTS reactions. So please understand non English user's replies with not so correct useages of English.
I knew they got you when I saw your eyes light up. Welcome to the world of BTS. You won't regret it. As ARMY lore goes, BTS finds you when you need them the most...
@@nickforell1 Black swan is genuinely a work of art. BTS has performed this song many times in a variety of venues and while the song itself doesn’t change, each performance is captivating in its own right. I actually cried watching them perform this during their ON:E online concert as the extended contemporary dance break had me believing Jimin was literally struggling on the ocean’s floor…it was a powerful scene and I will never forget it.
Welcome, welcome, welcome. From your facial expressions I can tell you were immediately captivated. Our boys are really talented. They've got beautiful voices, they rap, dance, write most of their songs, produce, and have an unconditional love for us, their fandom, the Armys. They have over 400 songs that include a lot of different genres and are very charismatic performers. They're even better live and their productions are on another level. You're in for a wonderful adventure. Thanks for the reaction 💜💜
Welcome to this global community! SPRING DAY is another gem I'd recommend. The boys wrote this song to "implicitly" commemorate a tragedy in Korea where 300+ students lost their lives in a ferry accident due to "adult/gov" irresponsibility. It's full of imagery and metaphors. The gov at the time would blacklist any public figure who'd openly speak up abt the incident. BTS disguised it in a song and was the ONLY celeb who visited the families of the victims & donated.
Welcome to the world of BTS! I would say that this is just BTS and not generalize it as kpop. Moving forward though, if you plan to react more to their songs especially their lyrics, I would suggest not immediately assuming it is about romantic love/relationship. BTS like to make their songs in a way that you can interpret it in so many different ways. They do have songs that are straight up love songs then they have songs about self-love, dreams or lack of dreams, or socio-politics. That is one of the biggest reasons why they are huge. The members write most of their songs and they make it relatable.
@@nickforell1 Think of it like Art. It's very subjective. There might be a main theme to a specific song, but it's definitely open to people's interpretation. 💜🎶
what do you mean not generalize it as kpop? It's literally korean pop music bruh. Do you think other k-pop artists just sound the same or? Armys need to stop with this arrogant opinion
@@madaray5683 alot of kpop groups are more restricted by what they can do by their label to the point where they tell them when to sleep and what to eat, let alone what they can sing, bts isnt like that though they all write their own songs, wasnt really controlled this way by their label bighit/hybe
Enjoyed your reaction! RM (group's leader) is a connoisseur of modern art, valuing how it evokes different interpretations, so I think he'd be pleased that you found your own meanings in this song. Some BTS songs require background knowledge, which has led to explanation videos on channels such as DKDKTV (David Kim and Danny Kim), xCeleste by Rosan, and Bookish Theories by a BTS fan in Italy. As other commenters here have said, a quote by Martha Graham is the key to Black Swan. For other songs we non-Koreans need to know some Korean history, customs, or current events. And then there are some lyrics which have wordplay requiring knowledge of Korean and how it intersects with English. It's fascinating! To me, "Do your thang with me" is them as performers asking fans to be their audience. BTS needs fans listening and watching, or else their performing is pointless. There is a quote from Jimin to this effect. But whereas he was expressing his gratitude for the fans, the flat, direct tone of the song conveys, "Ho hum, it's time yet again to play our roles for each other. It's starting to feel like a chore." Not that they feel that way, but they are dreading the possibility of becoming this way. "What's my thang? Tell me now," refers to performers feeling controlled by fans. As they let the audience dictate what kind of music to make, artists lose sight of what they wanted to convey and who they are. It's a theme that has come up again, just before they each launched into individual projects, music, and public appearances last summer. I look forward to hearing more of your reactions!
Thank you for saying it is a work of art. It is and it's been so hard to get people to give them a chance. Not to through shade but people assume they are just a Boy Band, but they are so much more. Thank you again.
Such a beautiful song! If you like this one, I would reccomend Fake Love or Blood Sweat and Tears... those would be some good songs to break down yet have beautiful visuals...💜
Although this song isn't mainly about romantic love, it is still regarded with passion and I think your interpretation of it isn't wrong. BTS mainly makes songs that allow people to make them their own and resonate with them, which is why your understanding is important, too. (In a nutshell, it is based on 'Swan Lake' - a play and movie that expresses the deathly passion and love for their work and art as a ballerina.) BTS songs are mainly composed with psychological nuances and the use stories to create a universe of lyricism, which the members are famous for. They write, compose, and produce their own songs which is why they are so in love with their own art. They don't have a shortage of romantic songs if you're looking for romantic songs. They are hopeless romantics who always viewed love as a fairytale they would chase. (Although only about 30% of their over 400 songs are about it). A majority is more about self-discovery, familial and friendship relationships, and youthful struggles. They also target governmental and societal issues in the majority of their songs, so if you want an in-depth lyrical explanation, there are a lot of videos on here for it! And we don't mind if the videos are long! We would still watch it. Thank you for liking the boys' songs!
Thank you for the thoughtful response Lumilily! On a first past I tried to assign meaning to the lyrics but this makes a lot of sense now. Looking forward to more!
@@nickforell1 Yes, interpretation of their lyrics can be different depending on the listener's feelings and situations at that time even though BTS had something in their mind when they created it. That's what BTS wanted and mentioned that way too.
"it's not what I was expecting"... This sentence should be the motto for all the new listeners who discovers BTS songs Lol ! Bts are not typical boy band, they are not typical Kpop idol group, they are a genre of their own. Your reaction was enjoyable, and you're right, Black swan is a piece of art. I will be there for your next BTS reaction. I suggest Fake love, On, Blood sweat and tears, Magic Shop (no MV for this one, but some live performances) , but no matter what song you choose next, they are all great !
I’m 70 and I’m a Big Fan of BTS. 7 young men who are so talented and so Humble. Yes Jin’s Epiphany is about loving yourself. So emotional song and Jin’s voice is Angelic. He did a collaboration with Coldplay. The Astronaut. Beautiful song. Welcome 💜💜💜💜💜
Their deep lyrics are what made me became a BTS ARMY Fan. For the last 5 years I have gone down the rabbit hole big time. They are the most humble talented group of men, it's hard to put into words when I have been around for 58 years but their music just hits so different. I really can't get enough. My vibe is mainly RnB, Hip hop, Pop and I loved dancing back in my 20's in the clubs here in Australia to 90s music! BTS have brought me back to those times! It's a great feeling. MIC DROP Remix MV was my gateway to BTS back in 2017. I subscribed to your channel because when you finally understand why they are so big now, I want to be there when you do!!! Thank you great reaction, look forward to seeing more!! Cheers Mate!
Black Swan is the song i love the most ... i hope a lot of people can listen to this ART!!! thank you for restarting to read the subtitles, BTS' lyrics are important . 💜 its okay to interpret the song however you feel like. and thank you friend for suggesting this.. i cant imagine if this song was my intro to BTS!! 🤯
Thank you for giving them a chance. They're incredibly good writers with deep lyrics and layered meanings. Every one of their songs sound different. They're called kpop, but they're just BTS. Welcome to this wonderful new world.
Nicely done. To me, it's perfect that you got your own meaning, because the song immediately resonated with you. BTS has highly meaningful, cleverly crafted songs, that have specific intention from the artists, which is wonderful to discover as you go, but like any work of art, meaning is also left to interpretation to each listener. The authenticity of these seven talented men continuously giving their all & laying their hearts bare in every performance for the past 10 years is what sets them apart & above. Subscribed to follow your BTS journey. 💜
I agree with you 100%. The final analysis by Nick Forell works just as well as the intent BTS had for the song. However the song speaks to each person's soul.
@@purpleskiesforever Thanks! Every once in awhile, I accidentally manage to transform my thought into a clearly worded sentence, lol. But that is a rarity... & even more rare that anyone agrees! 😂💜
BTS are their own genre, a lot different than most KPop. Not only can it be about a relationships, it's about losing your passion. What if you couldn't do what you loved anymore. It's also based on the famous ballet Swan Lake where there are 2 swans, a black/evil swan, and a white/good swan in most productions the same dancer plays both roles, signifying the struggle within oneself between light and dark. This phase for BTS was about the shadowself. So you caught the meaning of the outfits. They are known for the depths of their lyrics. They give so many people hope. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed it. They are also Hip Hop based. 🤟🏻 😘💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🫰🏻
they’re actually singing about love for their craft (and fearing loss of their passion for it) … the depth of their lyrics is startling for me, growing up in the west- they rarely sing only about love and the loss of love (the usual topics for western artists) so it’s understandable most people from the u.s. go there first…hope u continue to explore - they are so amazing and army is so proud of these men ❤
Welcome to the rabbit hole 💜. Their discography is vast and covers so many genres, and I believe everything they do is better in the live version. Thanks for your open mind and genuine reaction 💜
BTS is amazing - this album, Map of the Soul, is based on Jung's theories. Suggest Interlude Shadow from this album - its relatable, but also so important to the idea of personna/self/shadow and success.
There has never been, and will never be, a group such as them. They are beautiful human beings inside and out. They are thoughtful, compassionate and they care deeply for their fans. They write their own music, and it is comparable to poetry. To me, they are not a pop group or boy band, they are a group of artists that have no particular genre. I hope you continue to check out their work.
I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction to this video. Their work is always of the highest quality with no expense spared for production. This song was released in Feb/20 and I discovered them with the release of this album (Map of The Soul:7). A week later and the world was in lockdown and I sincerely feel that BTS got me through the last 3 years. I hear stories over and over about people who say their lives were literally saved by BTS. If you are someone who likes to dive into lyrics, I can't emphasis enough how much you have hit on the right group. They write the bulk of their own lyrics (they have over 300 songs) and they convey the very best of messaging. They touch on subjects such as mental health struggles, societal inequalities, empowerment and self love. This song is about the fear of losing their passion for their craft. They dive deep into the concepts of Carl Jung with recurring themes of Shadow, Ego, Persona etc. Some of their songs are deceiving. What often sounds like a love song, is usually with "ARMY" as the love interest. ARMY is the name of their fanbase. They are incredibly humble individuals who love and appreciate their fans like no one I have ever seen before. They credit ARMY with all their success, despite the fact that they are the hardest workers on the planet and have been putting in the work for over 10 years. They aren't really considered K-Pop anymore...they are almost a genre of their own. I think you will be pleasantly surprised the more you explore their discography. I would suggest " ON Kinetic Manifesto " as maybe your next reaction (from the same album). Thank you for reacting.
Loved this reaction! Lyrics are really important when it comes to BTS and I’m glad you focused on them 😊 If it helps, I made a google document to help reactors when getting into BTS, it basically explains how to get the right translations for their songs, where to source music videos, and other stuff like that. I can’t post a link in the comments, as UA-cam usually takes it down, but I left the link in the ‘about’ page of my channel. Thanks for reacting to them and being respectful :)
Yea, BTS!! :) Thank you for giving them a chance. One thing you'll find is that they are very different than other kpop groups of their generation. They have kicked open the doors for creative freedoms in that industry and others are starting to follow suit. The thing with these guys is, the more you hear about who they are, how they started, and what they've achieved, the more you want to root for them and their deserved success. I know it's not a music video I'm suggesting, but there is a Guide to BTS by Taylor. Its primary focus is to give a breakdown of their story and individual contributions, but all throughout you'll hear snippets of their songs. Since they have a massive discography, it might help narrow down what music you want to check out next.
Their performance is even better in live..... If you want to see who they realy are just whatch a live concert performance. Black Swan in live is a masterpiece.... And welcome in the Army World. 😉💜
@nickforellreacts yes I was Lucky to see them live twice, in 2019 at Stade de France in Paris. I also see all their web-live : all their show are awesome. I just want to see them again, in live. You can find live extract easyly do not hesitate : watch them. 😉 if you need just ask : a lot of Army will answer your questions. If you need link or anything.
@@nickforell1 They are amazing performers LIVE!! 2020 would've been my 5th consecutive year seeing them LIVE in concert, but their world tour got cancelled due to the pandemic. Getting tickets to their concerts is truly like the Hunger Game. Even tickets to Suga's solo world tour starting next month got SOLD OUT in minutes. I'm extremely happy for him, but these resellers really frustrate me because tickets are now 3-4x their face value....ugh. Oh, they have a song called "UGH" by the way. Also, BTS won't be BTS without each and every members so they are beloved & supported by ARMYs whether it's group or solo projects. They've done many covers and collaborations with other Artists as well. Coldplay for example. 💜🎶 #ARMYsince2014
You will learn quickly that no 2 BTS songs sound the same. Their discography is extremely diverse. A lot of their work is lyric driven so always make sure to -it the captions on - all of their official content will have English subs. I hope you react to more - they are worth looking into. Definitely not what most people expect when they first dive in. Thanks for taking the time to react to them. We love when new people are introduced to their music. I have been a fan since they debuted in 2013 and I am not your typical fan - I am a 60 year old mum from Australia. That is another thing you will come to realise - their fan base is just as diverse as their music.
YAY! This was my introduction to BTS as well (I found them, or they found me, in May 2021 and I've never looked back). BTS are a group of 7 amazingly talented young men, now age range from 25 through 30 in international age. There are 4 vocalists and 3 rappers, however, at this point they can all pretty much do everything. There are Main and Lead dancers as well within the group, but as you saw, they all also dance. There are several introduction videos out there, but I will suggest 1) The Rice Squad's, The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A BTS Story (2023 update...which is really an early 2022 update and a Lot has happened since then), and then 2) Taylor Mari's, "An Introduction to BTS: The Bangtan 7". They are both long, but the fans, "ARMY", will watch with you. Also, xCeleste has some shorter introductions but they are a little bit older videos. Then, I suppose for all 7 of them I would suggest DNA, Fake Love, Blood Sweat and Tears to start. There are over 300 songs in their discography, so sit back and enjoy the ride and we'll enjoy it with you! Oh, and yes, right now at least 6 of the 7 are models or ambassadors for separate fashion lines. The whole group has been ambassadors for Louis Vuitton in the past. That said, they have so much talent beyond the visuals!
This is actually NOT about a relationship with a significant other or person. It’s about the fear that they might lose their love & desire to continue to make music. If they lose this passion they say that’s their first death, worse than if was literal death. I suggest reading lyrics ahead of time so you know what songs about & can focus on visual as well as have an idea what songs about so not just making assumptions as to what it’s about. Their lyrics are usually very deep. But I’m glad you’re giving them a chance. Borahae 💜
I feel like this was such a genuine reaction - thank you ! You really took in what you were watching instead of immediately hopping on the hype train before you even had time to process anything (some new reactors do this, haha). So glad this was your introduction to BTS. If you'd gone with "Dynamite" (one of their three all-English singles), it probably would have confirmed any predisposition you had towards Kpop being only fun, poppy and glossy. I love Dynamite - it's a fun uplifting danceable song released to make people happy when Covid was just hooking in globally - but it wasn't written by them (many of their songs are written or conceptualized by the members themselves, or a few depending on the song) - and it doesn't reflect the depth and diversity of their music or lyricism. Black Swan really shows their artistry and depth - and that beat is just so cool. For something in the same ballpark, go with "Blood Sweat and Tears"... but there's so much else. "ON: Kinetic Manifesto Film", Fire (Burning Up) which you should watch on the channel 1theK, and Mic Drop. That's just to get started. Oh! Would love for you to see their live performance of Black Swan on the James Corden show - the debut performance of that song and, as it turned out, one of the very last live performances they would give before Covid took hold. There's truly so much to discover with BTS - the music itself, the choreography (for which there are "dance practices" posted (which all Kpop groups do since dancing is half of Kpop), their beautiful selves, their endearing personalities, their unique underdog story as a group, the bond they developed (they say that they feel like family to each other and we basically all agree now that they were destined to come together like this), their meteoric rise starting 2016-17 after a steady climb after debuting in 2013... they're living legends, and it's well worth your time to explore that rabbit hole. They are hilarious Dorks with a capital D, but also some of the coolest human beings on the planet. All part of their endearing charm. There's gotta be something special about them to have attracted an "Army" of fans from age 8 to 90!
Thank you for the reaction! BTS is quite a journey... and they aren't for dummies! Everything has meaning and probably links to something in another song... 10 years of musical content each with different concepts to research and break down. Depending on how much you want to "go down the rabbit hole" there are the MVs, dance practices, making of videos, and often other reactors breaking down the hidden meanings in extended videos. Many of their songs speak on Korean societal issues or culture so completely understanding them as westerners is difficult. Fortunately there are ARMYs out there that help break them down so we can better understand. I have loved learning more about the Korean culture through BTS videos... an unexpected bonus of loving BTS! Am I Wrong, Ddaeng, UGH!, Baepsae, Daechwita, The Truth Untold, House of Cards are all awesome songs with powerful lyrics. Then again, there are about 250 songs like that in the BTS library and this is not an exaggeration. Have fun!
This song is from the 2020 album called Map of the Soul: 7, which is the second of a two part album series about Swiss psychologist Carl Jung and his map of the soul theories. It is about Persona, Ego and Shadow and how all this make up a person. Black Swan is as s.o. mentioned about loosing one's passion for their art, about dying that first death of an artist, the burnout. The rap line (RM - leader, SUGA and JHope) are the main song writers and producers, but all 7 have a hand in the music creation. All have been making their own music, either solo songs on group albums or releasing songs individually on sound cloud - for free. Their music is diverse and ppl say they are they own genre, because they do everything. Even though they started out as a pure hip hop group and still to this day all their group songs have rap lines. If you dive deeper, you are in for a tresure trove of visually and musically well crafted songs/videos.
BTS have an absolutely massive discography of over 300 songs, and honestly, most of my absolute favorites both in terms of lyrics and musicality are their b-sides without music videos, heh. It's usually easier to start with their title tracks, though, since they have the English captions on the music videos. I agree with a few others who recommended you check out Fake Love next.
@@nickforell1 Fake Love is tide with their BU (their storylines [Bantan Universe] that carry and connect from previous album to the next album). Mv (all props detaily placed and even dance routines match) has so much symbolisms and story.
If I may suggest two songs (that unfortunately don't have MVs): 1. Dis-ease 2. 134340 Both are musically very interesting, and the lyrics are amazing. Thank you so much for reacting to BTS! 💜
In the middle of the night I discovered BTS. 2016 the MAMA Awards. They first performed Blood Sweat & Tears. I was mesmerized. I was amazed how deep the lyrics went. Is this about good Vs. evil? Is it about God and Satan? I was just blown away and then a Red Firey Stage lifted from the ground and RM announced to the audience, We're BTS. After all the singing and dancing like I'd had never seen before, I spent the rest of the night researching, Who Is BTS?
Great reaction. I can tell straight away you are going to get pulled in to the amazing world of BTS. You will notice that BTS do mention girls in songs now and again (more so in their older tracks), but overall not that much, which is really clever. This means songs can apply to all sorts of personal relationships, with boyfriends, girlfriends, family, friends and even with yourself! This is one of many reasons why I love them, they literally have something for everyone.💜
I love hearing WOW. I still feel that every time I watch this performance. Diverse group of musicians who have a hand in writing, composing and producing their own music, choreography and concepts. So glad you liked it ✨
Thanks for your reaction! 💜If you want to just take a deep dive in, there are a couple of other tracks that kind of live in the same space of creation and synergy with art or interaction with art and life like Black Swan does: 1) Dionysus - song named after the Greek god of wine/drunkenness/revelry, this track talks about how Bangtan want to get "drunk" on art and be consumed for it. It's a high-octane, faster song with more of a driving feel. The best visual representation of that song is when they do it live at the MAMA 2019 award show (they blend it into their 40 minute performance, it's the last track of that segment). Each member has their own introduction and a light hangs from the ceiling each time they appear. They each represent a different Greek god--and then after they all have their intros, they perform Dionysus together. Here's a link to that video, and it starts at 18:52: ua-cam.com/video/k-0v1fNVdas/v-deo.html You can also watch the whole thing if you want, but it might be overwhelming :D 2) Blood Sweat and Tears Official music video : ua-cam.com/video/hmE9f-TEutc/v-deo.html Although the lyrics themselves are their own entity, the music video incorporates a huge amount of visuals from literature, art, religion, and philosophy. I would say for this song in particular, the MV gives a deeper insight into the meaning of the song. Explanation/theory behind BST music video: ua-cam.com/video/5tlgAUE6yjg/v-deo.html Have fun and feel free to ask ARMY questions! We love sharing this stuff! 💜
BTS is beyond Kpop. They are international global artists who write, sing, dance and have the largest fan base all over the world. All their songs are so different. You will be constantly surprised by the depth of their talent.
The video was shot in the Los Angeles Theatre, very early in 2020 just before Covid took hold and wrecked their plans for a massive world tour. As others have said, the song isn’t about a romantic relationship as such, although it does touch on their extraordinarily intense relationship with their fans/audience and the performing artist’s relationship with their art. Every detail in a BTS video is considered and has meaning. The costume switches are part of the story telling. Initially, they’re in white with touches of black when they’re performing on stage, and in black when offstage. Gradually the black, which represents their Jungian Shadow, takes over even when they’re on stage. They’ve recently revealed just how difficult it was becoming for them creatively at that time. The fear in the song was very real to them.
You know what... I know ppl already told you in comments what the song is really about but you are not far off in your interpretation. What BTS makes is art. And art is pretty subjective. It can be interpreted in multitude of ways. Even though you didn't guess their side of context what you said fits too doesn't it? I saw another reactor say this about BTS songs.. that they fit so many situations and depending on who is listening to them and where they are in life they will interpret it differently... and that's beautiful if you ask me. But you didn't so i'll be on my way. Glad you liked this song. Hope you'll give their other songs a listen too and hopefully like them too
I would like to say that the biggest reason why I got into BTS in the first place was because of their music - the new sound that they brought to the industry and the new sounds they keep on making every comeback that they have, the storytelling, poetry and lyricisam - all of these are the main thing that attracts the audience, but then, they reinforce their artistry with the incredible music videos, the thoughtful choreographies, the Bangtan Universe (which is sort of like the MCU/Marvel Cinematic Universe) within their MV's and also... their looks certainly don't hurt 🤭😌 One last and very very important thing that attracted me into BTS is... ARMY. What a fandom, what a story ARMY's have with BTS throughout the years - all the way since they didn't have a name yet till now, the biggest fandom ever. What a fan culture ARMY's have, when I first got into BTS I was stunned the most by ARMY's and their projects 💜 I'd like to inform you that BTS's songs are usually not about couples and love, tho when they are - they are incredible and poetic (in other words they are not non-sense stereotypical pop love songs). I think ARMY's are already very used to UA-cam reactors complementing thing such as looks and dance (which ofc these are not bad things to comment about but not as a replacement to other stuff) instead of the actual music, lyrics and story. It happens as a result of not being invested or being stereotyped and thinking that the only thing that matters to us ARMY's is looks. I think I can speak for all of us when I say that UA-cam reactors should be honest about liking or disliking a song and that they should react to BTS only if they are actually invested in them - don't force yourself to like them and don't force yourself to make a lot of reactions to them for views bc we see right through that... ofc I didn't get that vibe from you as much and I really liked your reaction 😊 keep up the good work 😁 We Purple U 💜
Welcome to the BTS rabbit hole. Their music is very diverse and spans many genres. Their discography contains 300+ songs over the last 10 years, including solo works. They are lumped into kpop, but they are so much more. With 3 rappers and 4 vocalists, their lyrics are deep and thought provoking. I'm a 65 yr old ARMY (the name of their fandom)and I have never heard more beautiful music in all my years. Their music has helped so many people around the world. They are 7, who come from humble beginnings and became a family. I am so proud of all of them and their accomplishments. They debuted in 2013 as a hip hop group and grew to be a global sensation. Hopefully you will continue the journey and see all that they truly are. ARMY will guide you. Borahae💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
BTS is involved their music since begining which was/still is quite rare in k-pop. There are 300+ (maybe 400+ ?) songs, solos, mixtapes, solo albums, singles, their japanese versions/songs, rap- and vocal-line songs, different BTS unit-, collab- and cover-songs, live conserts, awardshows... They have own variety-, travel- and vacation-shows, docu-series, behind shooting scenes/making MVs... and internet full of fanmade BTS clips... and lots of more... And if you want to know members better you can react Taylor Guide to BTS members. Sorry my english and greetings from the edge of Europe
They are not just known for being great singers, rappers and dancers but also, their Korean lyrics are so deep, meaningful and inspirational. The message they send through their music resonates with the general public because they tackle depression, anxiety, mental health, discrimination, social expectations, self love, hard work, following your dreams etc. They have 3 English songs Dynamite, Butter and Permission To Dance which they released during the height of the global pandemic to bring positive vibe and hope to all their fans across the world. Their 3 English songs are not really that deep compared to their Korean songs. The seven members are all songwriters, producers and composers. Although they have in-house producers, they are actively involve in writing, composing and producing their songs from their debut album in 2013 to their solo stuff until now. Their music genres include Pop, Hip Hop, Latin Pop, EDM, R&B, Ballad. Name it, they have it. As of March 2023, they have already won over one thousand awards. They also have 28 Guinness World Record. Just a couple of days ago, it was announced that they broke their own Guinness World Record for “The most Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards won by a music group.” Their fans ARMY are not just screaming teenage girls but people who are in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s even 60s and 70s. I'm 48 and I'm an ARMY. Here are some recommended MVs and Live performances for you to discover BTS' discography. If you like their MVs, get ready to be blown away by their live performances. Good to see a new (and awestruck) face. 😄. Army loves to see that, you will get lots and lots of advice and information, usually in the nicest possible way. Welcome, hope you have a wonderful journey with us. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
It can be overwhelming because of the beauty of their work, songs/lyrics & overall performance. BTS is passionate about their lyrics, the melody the performance. They are also beautiful humans inside and out. Thank you for your reaction, can’t wait for you to discover them more. Happy to subscribe.
Oh boy... are you in for a treat. BTW, I am also a psych nurse. Much much older. Been nursing for 36 years. For psychological concepts Blood Sweat and Tears is a great video. Based on the book Demien and Jungian psychology. Also I am huge "Kpop" fan, even though I am in the older demographic... Let's hear it for Silver Army's!!
I love watching new reactors see BTS and then try to decipher the songs based on what “mainstream” music is generally about…..relationships…..because they don’t know the background of BTS! Their songs are about soooo much more…societal issues, struggle of youth and adolescents, discrimination, mental health, and this one, Black Swan, which is actually about the fear of losing the passion that they have for their music and dance (comes from a famous ballet star who said that when a dancer stops dancing….that is their “first death”). I genuinely love this reaction and hope that you do read the comments and delve further into these extremely talented performers. BTS and it’s member are so much more then kpop💜
K-pop is the industry. Don’t expect this level of greatness from other K-pop acts as it’s not going to happen. They are super versatile and sings many different genres of music. Welcome to the rabbit hole of BTS. Have fun.
BTS do write and produce their own music and they are extremely versatile, none of their songs sound the same, and they are well loved for their deep meaningful lyricism. Also, a lot of time when you think the song is about a girl or romantic love, it is not. They usually write songs addressing about ARMY (their fandom), each other members, and about themselves internally.
Welcome to BTS. They are KPop in that they have the showmanship and pageantry of KPop, but unlike much kpop they have deeper meanings to their work and base much on psychological theory, self exploration and self acceptance. If you are really interested in their work start with one of the introduction videos. I recommend XCeleste's price, Taylor's introduction to the 7 members, or the Rice Squad's The most beautiful moment in life. You cannot go wrong with these options. Be prepared for an immense discography, a passionate fandom called ARMYs, and a really fun experience. By the way, Jimin is the modern dancer that you saw a great deal in this piece. He is a vocalist and has his first solo album is dropping on the 24th. Enjoy.
Nick! So....See what you've been missing all this time? Isn't it great that in a jaded world, you can find something fresh that still can resonate within you? It was VERY exciting watching your reaction to BTS. I was just like that my first time - then I just had to learn more about them. For me, they are one of the rare great experiences that came out of the pandemic. Sinking into their concept videos is a gradual seduction...from the very first beat, you see they've set a stage that really speaks and delivers their message, and as you're getting used to the visual presentation, their voices are rolling over you and your heart is beating a bit strangely before your brain catches up, and by then...you are grabbing for those darn lyrics because something that sounds so beautiful can't be speaking about losing your pet fluffy or your girlfriend and if it IS... You can bet they will tell you about it in a completely unique way. They are real and leave themselves vulnerable by speaking about their life experiences through their songs and visuals.... Often you'll need to watch their videos several times to notice all the clues they've left in the background and there is SO much they say in their stage sets. You soon learn that nothing is random in their music videos. Jewelry, pictures on the wall or how a specific statue looks. They face the real things we fear to explore within ourselves, and admit their insecurities rather than trying to say they are perfect - they grab those things by the throat, and make you understand that those...faults are okay and that you're not alone - without their actually ever preaching that to you directly. If that's not magic, I don't know what is? Right? * They have a HUGE, amazing story behind their success that's well worth exploring if you like that kind of thing. .... so many choices...... (It's hard to choose because they do several versions of their songs, and it can be hard to choose from the dance videos vs the concept movies... ** Something to beware of, is that many of their concept videos are part of a story set which can range across as many as seven individual songs, and will touch on a part of their concept rather than giving the full story away in one song...Fake Love & Blood Sweat and Tears are reflective of this. They can easily be watched on their own, but together they're pretty explosive. They've also created concept movies that are just the full storyline without the music. I know you're more into the music aspect but if you want a clearer idea of the overall message of those vids - let me know, I think I've got the links saved somewhere if you want. Some suggestions: * BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS * - ua-cam.com/video/hmE9f-TEutc/v-deo.html * On * - ua-cam.com/video/mPVDGOVjRQ0/v-deo.html Concept Video - ua-cam.com/video/gwMa6gpoE9I/v-deo.html Dance Performance video - It's very interesting and worth watching. *** A bit of Trivia about this song. They've been on Jimmy Fallon's a few times and even co-hosted with him for a week once - anyways... He set them up at Grand Central station with this song, and that was pretty interesting. There is video of that performance too. I mention it because not many bands can brag to that - if any.... He and James Cordon have been very supportive of BTS in the past.) * FAKE LOVE * - ua-cam.com/video/D_6QmL6rExk/v-deo.html * SINGULARITY * - ua-cam.com/video/p8npDG2ulKQ/v-deo.html (Focus on V or Taehyun) Very cool concept dance vid with a warm sexy vibe... Several of the boys have videos that focus solely on them like this one. * PIED PIPER * ua-cam.com/video/jBELVvg51Og/v-deo.html (Concert Footage with Eng subs but it's really good. The concept video for this doesn't have ENG subs...) I strongly recommend you check this one out.... All their songs have amazing lyrics and unlike most contracted musicians, they are very active in the decisions that go behind their music and videos, dances, choreography, and even have shared in the production and writing of lyrics in many of their songs. Suga and JK are both very active in production. I was kind of chatty, hope you didn't mind and found some useful information from it rather than my boring you to death! :) Thanks for your great review! - St@nce
One thing you will find when watching BTS videos and analyzing lyrics, is that everything from choice of instrument, movement in dances, meaning behind the lyrics, and choice of theme, colours etc literally EVERYTHING has a meaning and purpose.
Thank you for your amazing reaction. Bts is bigger than K-pop. They are a genre all by themselves. Every single song is different. Not one sounds alike. Bts has over 300 songs between group, rap line, vocal line, deuts, and solo work. If you want to travel down the bts rabbit hole, then start at the beginning with no more dream than work your way through their discography. There are also lots of documentaries "intro to bts: the bangtan 7" and " the most beautiful moments in life." There is also their own variety shows like run bts, in the soop, and bon voyage. As well as documentaries, behind the scenes sketches, dance practices, and fan made videos. There is a lot of content for bts.
BTS is very versatile with their music but always on point. Their roots are musically in hiphop and the rappers of RM, Suga and J-hope are top of their class. And their vocalists are absolutely wonderful.
Thank you for your positive reaction and opinion!! You're reaction was interesting, Thanks for thinking about the meaning of the Lycris and the music video! This song isn't actually about a romantic Relationship... Blackswan is Inspired by the quote "a dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and his first death is the more painful.” So it's about the fear of loosing their passion for music etc Bts do have great Songs, and their Lycris (+ musicvideos) do always have a special meaning behind it ^^ I would recommend you: 1. ON Kinetic Manifesto Film (This one's incredible!! Turn on the subtitles haha) 2. Fake Love (Also here let the subtitles on because I'm curious if you find out the true meaning of this song and the message behind it ;) ) 3. The Truth untold (This song is only sung by the vocal line so basically Jin,V,Jimin&Jungkook.. There is no music video but you can watch a Lycris video or the live performance💜) I will definitely watch your next Bts reaction video💜
This is actually about fear of losing one's deep love for music and dance, something that is life itself for many of us. It isn't about relationships between people at all. It's about music and dance being the love of one's life and what would happen if none of it moved them anymore.
wow🥰 I love your sincere reaction💜💜 One of the biggest reason why BTS are beloved globally is lyrics of their songs. They have made their songs with their own stories. So people can see their history through their songs. Thanks💜💜
BTS is much deeper than KPOP, they're soooooooo diverse w/their genre's, lots of deep meaning in their songs, they're very passionate and so are their fans, which are called Army!!!!
K-POP is actually a industry not a genres. And as some other commets says BTS ist way beyond that. They are artists who move us with their deep lyrics and stunning visuals. If you want to get to now them more as individuals I recoment a guid like: "Who is BTS" by xCeleste (general about the group) and/or "A Guide to BTS Members: Bangtan 7" by Taylor Mari for a deeper dive into the members individually and more indepth. Btw. ARMY (BTS fandome name) will never mind longer videos as long as your're genuie interested and want to know more. For lyrics you can allways turn on CC on their videos. Sorry if my english was not easy to understand. Not my native language. 💜💜💜
That's BTS not Kpop. BTS is different from all Kpop groups, that's why they are so big. Maybe next react to "Blood sweat and tears" by BTS. And I would love it if you watch the video twice, one time with subtitles and one time without, so you can fully concentrate on the lyrics AND the visuals
Welcome to the world of BTS 💜 For millions of fans, RM, Suga, JHope, Jimin, V, Jin and Jungkook are the best artists in the world They are all extremely talented They sing, rap, dance, compose, produce... and make us happy and proud ! When BTS enter your life, life changes...life becomes better and more beautiful ! 💜
Most of their songs which seems romantic are actually about their relationship with each other, fandom or music. Whatever you choose to listen to next I recommend to check the meaning of the song online because their albums and music are really connected and mostly have deeper meaning than it seems. They use many references and "hidden" messages too. They actively take part on every single song they release, especially RM and Suga, so their music is reflection of their own minds and souls. So, they are not just incredibly talented but also relatable and very human. Btw. it's hard to make a recommendation because they released hundres of songs but... Spring Day, Magic Shop, ON or Not Today would be great picks I think (because of the lyrics).
this was actually among the first songs they released after i discovered them and it was so emotional. they fear losing their passion for their craft more than anything else and you can really tell that they mean it through how much they put into their music. the "kpop" label really has them at a disadvantage bc people dont even try to know them bc of the pre-conceived ideas people have with the word. so glad you enjoyed this one cant wait to see more of BTS reactions💜 and i see you are taking the NF journey too i will be here for that also😁🖤🤍
The lyrics are built on Martha Graham world famous choreographer. quote "a dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful.” So it's about being scared of losing the passion for their work/art, what they love. Shadows and light. Black and white.
Beautiful quote. Where else do you suggest I start with BTS?
@@nickforell1I suggest Fake Love.
@@nickforell1 I suggest Blood, Sweat and Tears!!!! Enjoy!!
Thank you, I now understand the distinction!
Well explained!
👍😊💜
WELL SAID!
Yes! I suggest Love Yourself: Tear...the whole album. It really shows their creative range.
I can’t wait to dig in! They really caught me off guard
Enjoy! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Thank you for that. I’m open to anything so I am actually looking forward to seeing how their songs differ
I can’t wait to see be amazed by them ! You’ll see - give them another chance ! The rabbit hole to BTS is so wonderful and deep ! Enjoy - lots of us will guide you 💜
@@nickforell1 Try ON or "Blood Sweat and Tears".
G DRAGON GD
BTS is totally beyond k pop. They are actually very unique in the world of k pop
Thank you, definitely needed to hear this. Can't wait to see more
@@rafaelsmith5737 Well, I ended up turning on the subtitles if you watched farther. It's my first time, I had no idea!
@@nickforell1 OPPS
I apologize, I commented too soon but you completely misunderstood the song though 😅 pay more attention to the lyrics cause this is not a breakup song or a song that talks about a relationship.
But I really appreciate that you put the lyrics on and tried to understand it even though you are so far off from the meaning of the song.
Anyways I can explain it to you:
below 👇
@@nickforell1 HERE'S THE TRUE MEANING OF BLACK SWAN:
The HEART no longer beats
When hearing the MUSIC play
Tryna pull up
Seems like TIME has stopped
Oh that would me my first DEATH
I've always AFRAID of
Pre-chorus:
No song can no longer affect me
Crying out a silent cry
Chorus:
Every noise and sound has been cut
Killin' me now
Killin' me now
Do you hear me yeah?
With these lyrics you can understand that the whole song is about
(the loss of passion for the things that you most love and enjoy) which is the most cruelest thing an artist can ever experience
And BTS is exactly experiencing that at that time so they turned it into a song which is also referring to a film Black Swan were the main character is a ballerina
For them the loss of passion for music is equal to death, hence the term "first death"
from the quote in the film "A dancer dies twice, the first is when the dancer stops dancing and the first is more painful than the last"
BTS are not just performers, they don't just sing and dance on stage and do what they are told like other Kpop does.
Yes, someone informed me that their lyrics are interpretation too. So I love being educated
@@heesuh9505 The most kind and thoughtful comment ever! 💜 Thank you, ARMY. 💜
I knew they got you when I saw your eyes light up. Welcome to the world of BTS. You won't regret it. As ARMY lore goes, BTS finds you when you need them the most...
Yes, it was quite the performance. Such artistry
Of course and thank you for the nice insight. Can't wait to see more
Welcome to this global community!
That’s insightful thank you ML. Good to know there are many interpretations
@@shelliblossom8953 you're basically talking about only the life of rookie groups, and still that's not the reality of all of the rookies.
Thank you for such a thoughtful response, I will definitely be doing more BTS. I very much enjoyed my intro
💜💜💜
Thank you for saying it is a work of art. It is and it's been so hard to get people to give them a chance. Not to through shade but people assume they are just a Boy Band, but they are so much more. Thank you again.
It definitely is art. The lyrics, choreography, vocals, and set..wow
I’m so mad at myself for having thought like that for 2 years straight. Glad I’ve educated myself though and am now an Army of 1 1/2 years🫶🏼
Such a beautiful song! If you like this one, I would reccomend Fake Love or Blood Sweat and Tears... those would be some good songs to break down yet have beautiful visuals...💜
Incredible vocals and setting. Throughly enjoyed
Although this song isn't mainly about romantic love, it is still regarded with passion and I think your interpretation of it isn't wrong. BTS mainly makes songs that allow people to make them their own and resonate with them, which is why your understanding is important, too. (In a nutshell, it is based on 'Swan Lake' - a play and movie that expresses the deathly passion and love for their work and art as a ballerina.)
BTS songs are mainly composed with psychological nuances and the use stories to create a universe of lyricism, which the members are famous for.
Thank you dream, I’m really glad I started with this because it hooked me!
Thanks for a great reaction, there is so much BTS content, so take your time . As an Army we love on-boarding new fans 💜💜💜💜💜

@@thetalantonx wow really!? Welcome!! How did you start getting into BTS!?
@@amberpearce710 Sorry for the long delay in response! It was from Tim Henson and Luke Holland covering Butter, and then watching Butter itself.
Thank you Lavender =) I CANT wait for more. I lover clever lyrics
😘💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🫰🏻
they’re actually singing about love for their craft (and fearing loss of their passion for it) … the depth of their lyrics is startling for me, growing up in the west- they rarely sing only about love and the loss of love (the usual topics for western artists) so it’s understandable most people from the u.s. go there first…hope u continue to explore - they are so amazing and army is so proud of these men ❤
This is not kpop this is BTS 💜 they are bigger than kpop
Welcome to the rabbit hole 💜. Their discography is vast and covers so many genres, and I believe everything they do is better in the live version. Thanks for your open mind and genuine reaction 💜
Of course, glad I found them and thanks for tuning in
BTS is amazing - this album, Map of the Soul, is based on Jung's theories.
Thank you Laurie for the really wonderful response! It's amazing how artists can have such a positive impact on us. BTS is awesome

Welcome to the BTS rabbit hole..I'm an Army since 2013...( Since their debut)....u will love their journey trust me...💜

Their performance is even better in live..... If you want to see who they realy are just whatch a live concert performance. Black Swan in live is a masterpiece.... And welcome in the Army World. 😉💜
Have you seen them live?
They've done many covers and collaborations with other Artists as well. Coldplay for example. 💜🎶
#ARMYsince2014
My introduction was Carpool Karaoke. They were so funny and charming, I just had to learn more about them. 🙂 The best ever!
BTS never dissapoint.... you can choose any song or any performance and it will make your day
Have fun exploring BTS, they are a whole new world.
Have fun!
They are truly amazing! Love BTS 💜💜💜
Thank you Regina
This group sings literally everything from Jazz, Rap, Hip Hop, to kpop. Pop and more. They write most the lyrics and create a lot of the choreo, too.
**********This was shot in the historic Los Angeles Theater in downtown LA [one of the last theaters owned by a movie company.]
Fake Love is now on my list! Thank you for taking the time to let me know
@@nickforell1 Fake Love is tide with their BU (their storylines [Bantan Universe] that carry and connect from previous album to the next album). Mv (all props detaily placed and even dance routines match) has so much symbolisms and story.

Yes.. this is work of art.. ..Great Artist.. BTS..
💜If you want to just take a deep dive in, there are a couple of other tracks that kind of live in the same space of creation and synergy with art or interaction with art and life like Black Swan does:
1) Dionysus - song named after the Greek god of wine/drunkenness/revelry, this track talks about how Bangtan want to get "drunk" on art and be consumed for it.
Here's a link to that video, and it starts at 18:52: ua-cam.com/video/k-0v1fNVdas/v-deo.html
You can also watch the whole thing if you want, but it might be overwhelming :D
2) Blood Sweat and Tears
Official music video : ua-cam.com/video/hmE9f-TEutc/v-deo.html
Although the lyrics themselves are their own entity, the music video incorporates a huge amount of visuals from literature, art, religion, and philosophy. I would say for this song in particular, the MV gives a deeper insight into the meaning of the song.
Explanation/theory behind BST music video: ua-cam.com/video/5tlgAUE6yjg/v-deo.html
Have fun and feel free to ask ARMY questions! We love sharing this stuff! 💜
Black Swan is a master piece….. Isn’t it interesting that none of their mv’s, especially this one, have never won a best music video award???🤔💜💜💜
Black Swan is a MASTERPIECE, it's ART. Welcome to the world of BTS. Thank you for reacting to them :) :) :) please see their other vids also :)
BTS will always surprise you with each songs. They have been doing music for 10 years. They are all songwriters, producers and composers.
The fear in the song was very real to them.
glad to see you've found BTS, don't forget to turn on closed caption and pick english. ahh you found them!
Hope you'll give their other songs a listen too and hopefully like them too
I would like to say that the biggest reason why I got into BTS in the first place was because of their music - the new sound that they brought to the industry and the new sounds they keep on making every comeback that they have, the storytelling, poetry and lyricisam - all of these are the main thing that attracts the audience, but then, they reinforce their artistry with the incredible music videos, the thoughtful choreographies, the Bangtan Universe (which is sort of like the MCU/Marvel Cinematic Universe) within their MV's and also... their looks certainly don't hurt 🤭😌
One last and very very important thing that attracted me into BTS is... ARMY. What a fandom, what a story ARMY's have with BTS throughout the years - all the way since they didn't have a name yet till now, the biggest fandom ever. What a fan culture ARMY's have, when I first got into BTS I was stunned the most by ARMY's and their projects 💜
I'd like to inform you that BTS's songs are usually not about couples and love, tho when they are - they are incredible and poetic (in other words they are not non-sense stereotypical pop love songs).
I think I can speak for all of us when I say that UA-cam reactors should be honest about liking or disliking a song and that they should react to BTS only if they are actually invested in them - don't force yourself to like them and don't force yourself to make a lot of reactions to them for views bc we see right through that... ofc I didn't get that vibe from you as much and I really liked your reaction 😊 keep up the good work 😁 We Purple U 💜
thank you for your reaction! they are the biggest group in the world for my and for Army! you have to check all their piece of art!
Imagine going into BTS with Black Swan 😂 like a sledge hammer in the heart of emotion and visual mastery
Thank you for supporting BTS, it was a great reaction please keep supporting our boys 🙇🏻♀️💜.
No problem 😊
Would love to see more BTS. You won’t be disappointed. 😊
Definitely will do more Dolly
Some suggestions:
* BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS * - ua-cam.com/video/hmE9f-TEutc/v-deo.html
* On * - ua-cam.com/video/mPVDGOVjRQ0/v-deo.html Concept Video
- ua-cam.com/video/gwMa6gpoE9I/v-deo.html Dance Performance video - It's very interesting and worth watching.
He and James Cordon have been very supportive of BTS in the past.)
* FAKE LOVE * - ua-cam.com/video/D_6QmL6rExk/v-deo.html
* SINGULARITY * - ua-cam.com/video/p8npDG2ulKQ/v-deo.html (Focus on V or Taehyun) Very cool concept dance vid with a warm sexy vibe...
Thanks for your great review!

You are so cute🥺
I hope, you will love our bangtans
(Sorry for the my bad english, i am not england)💜
One thing you will find when watching BTS videos and analyzing lyrics, is that everything from choice of instrument, movement in dances, meaning behind the lyrics, and choice of theme, colours etc literally EVERYTHING has a meaning and purpose.
Can't wait for your next BTS reaction. You'd be surprise how diverse they are.
Hi Nick, welcome to our Bangtan world. Thanks for checking them out. 💜
This song is about an Artist's "first death"...When they lose the passion or ability to perform 💜
You will really love Blood, Sweat and Tears
Exactly Right in my opinion also. Work of Art, Masterfully done ✅
Thank you! Cheers!
“That was a work of ART”! Yes. EVERYTHING BTS is a WORK OF ART! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 Research. 🤩
Thank you for your positive reaction and opinion!! You're reaction was interesting, Thanks for thinking about the meaning of the Lycris and the music video!
This song isn't actually about a romantic Relationship... Blackswan is Inspired by the quote "a dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and his first death is the more painful.” So it's about the fear of loosing their passion for music etc
Bts do have great Songs, and their Lycris (+ musicvideos) do always have a special meaning behind it ^^
I would recommend you:
1. ON Kinetic Manifesto Film (This one's incredible!! Turn on the subtitles haha)
2. Fake Love (Also here let the subtitles on because I'm curious if you find out the true meaning of this song and the message behind it ;) )
3. The Truth untold (This song is only sung by the vocal line so basically Jin,V,Jimin&Jungkook.. There is no music video but you can watch a Lycris video or the live performance💜)
I will definitely watch your next Bts reaction video💜
This is actually about fear of losing one's deep love for music and dance, something that is life itself for many of us. It isn't about relationships between people at all. It's about music and dance being the love of one's life and what would happen if none of it moved them anymore.
Welcome to the BTS world … you will never disappoint 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
wow🥰 I love your sincere reaction💜💜
One of the biggest reason why BTS are beloved globally is lyrics of their songs.
They have made their songs with their own stories.
So people can see their history through their songs.
Thanks💜💜
Watching them perform this live is absolutely stunning. It is a must see.
YES please more 😊🙏💜
BTS is much deeper than KPOP, they're soooooooo diverse w/their genre's, lots of deep meaning in their songs, they're very passionate and so are their fans, which are called Army!!!!
Thank you, I now understand the distinction! =)
Okay thank you for the detailed info. Good to know about the Kpop point and watching it twice.
Welcome to the world of BTS 💜
For millions of fans, RM, Suga, JHope, Jimin, V, Jin and Jungkook are the best artists in the world
They are all extremely talented
They sing, rap, dance, compose, produce... and make us happy and proud !
Spring Day, Magic Shop, ON or Not Today would be great picks I think (because of the lyrics).
this was actually among the first songs they released after i discovered them and it was so emotional. they fear losing their passion for their craft more than anything else and you can really tell that they mean it through how much they put into their music. the "kpop" label really has them at a disadvantage bc people dont even try to know them bc of the pre-conceived ideas people have with the word. so glad you enjoyed this one cant wait to see more of BTS reactions💜
and i see you are taking the NF journey too i will be here for that also😁🖤🤍
