Excellent video & running commentary. Perfect sharing of your experience. Information regarding the gear you used is also helpful to those new to soft plastic fishing. I think my jighead weights may be a tad heavy. Looking forward to your next session.
Thanks himderfella. Glad you like the video. I used a 2-4kg 7 foot rod and a 2000 sized reel with 0.6PE braid and 6lb leader with a Zman Grub on 1/16oz jighead. More information is attached in the video's description. More to come as always!
Yeah I was a bit shocked. It was tough because all these randoms were watching and thus, one feels a bit of pressure to just horse it in and risk losing it. Fortunately, I kept my cool lol.
Nice fish where about are you finishing I didn't think there would be much in Parramatta river I thought maybe it was to polluted. I'm from Parramatta CBD all you see up that end is carp and mullet.
There's bass (common) on the freshwater side of the weir and certainly bream, estuary perch, flathead, and everything else on the salt water side. I'll probably do a video there eventually
Hi Shroom I enjoy watching your videos and just wanted to ask if you can give more information on the locations you fish .I don’t expect you to give up your secret spots maybe Georges and Parramatta Rivers thanks
Hey Simon. Thanks! I fish pretty much fish all over the main rivers in Sydney as you could probably tell. I can give you advice on areas you are interested in.
Good catch young fella, that's my go to plastic and that colour also greasy prawn but i use 1/0 jighead, i do ok with that, i caught my PB 65cm last week in the Brisbane area.
Nice vid!Btw will the squiggly prawn wriggler be a flathead killer?I am going to a trip to the entrance and since the prawn season started,I think with a prawn imitations lure would be good for the species around there.Would that be good?
Mate Thank you for your All your videos for me are Amazing You’re doing a Great job don’t give up Just a small thing take a bit more time showing the bait and colour And line weight What brand of line you use Cheers mate waiting you your next video Fantastic job
Who has hooked a flathead that fought so hard that it had you fooled for what it was? :) P.S. There's a big change in this video regarding the filming. Does anyone know what the change is? I'm curious to see if anyone can pick it up! Comment below if you think you know what it is!
What a healthy Flathead! nice one bro! What hook size is on those tt jigheads you use? i always get confused buying them cause theres a heap to choose from Haha

A couple of weeks ago I landed a huge flathead 3kg 400grms which didn't put up any fight whatever. The smaller flathead seem to put up more of a fight
@@nickcoudounellis2020 Yeah top specimen that. Sometimes they just slug it out I think.
is it a new camera? or different camera set up?
@@thefishingbar3615 Same camera, but I bought a new microphone for better sound!
I love that spot. So do the flatties.
It is a nice place for sure. The Flatties don't seem to mind either.
What area is this located in
What a healthy Flathead! nice one bro! What hook size is on those tt jigheads you use? i always get confused buying them cause theres a heap to choose from Haha
Thanks jay gee! Yeah must have been pretty healthy the way that it put me under the pump lol. I use a lot of size 2 hooks on the lighter jigheads.
where is this place
Do you ever keep any for eating mate?
I haven't kept a fish in a while but once in a blue moon I do. These days I keep the odd squid for bait or consumption.
I’m very close to the Georges, I’d love some lessons on using plastics some time! I’ll repay you by taking you out on my boat!
Bruh i legit thought that was a crocodile in the thumbnail 😂
Haha, close enough. They don't call big ones crocs for no reason 😄
Is that a 2.5 or 3 inch grub? I have to get me one of those watermelon grubs!
W C, this is the 2.5 inch version. Have a go, they are one of my favourites.
@@ShroomFishing thanks mate. Love your contents
Camera stopped and start then was more clear.
Good try. I am currently experimenting with the video clarity but in this one, I have improved sound.
