Bro it took massive dedication to fish in that current condition. Heavy rain, flood, snags everywhere and it was all paid off! I had the same experience under the bridge, rain and snags got my first legal kingy. It just feels great at the end. ☺️

What a catch mate! I've been fishing this whole week everyday and not much luck ey! Endured the rain and got a few flatties eventually.
I walked along this path almost daily during covid times. Funny to think we probably crossed paths at some point. Great video and catch. I don't fish but am currently in a phase of joining in your fishing adventures through UA-cam 😂

Thank you very much John! I am always in awe even though I know what it is from the hook up from years of experience, how difficult it is to see the fish till it absolutely comes belly up. It can be 10cm under the surface and big fish like that are still not visible till the very last second. You'll get one John. They key is to have a very solid foundation of working the lure (double hop, very consistent and reliable) with the right lure (3-4 inch paddle tail like the ones I've mentioned previously) and a few other key points and it's all about time on the water. I may do an offline Podcast (myself) talking about jewfishing shortly but otherwise, expect a lot of information coming from me over the next several months

Oh what a monster! Did not expect this fish on a tiny slim swimz! Amazing how it did not break off, Jewfish is meant to be really good at snapping leader lines.
Monstered the plastic Lucas! Yep their headshakes are strong and sharp. The secret is I had floppy wrists when it was shaking to absorb it along with the rod. That's how I was able to protect my weakness in 6lb

Its just amazing catching this monster on 6lb, my friend tried 6lb once and the line broke after the fish went on the first run, he said he had the drag loose and he let the fish run. After like 5 sec the line broke. Still trying to figure out the technique to handle big fish on bream gear.

fishin in the rain, everyone goes home, you got the whole place to yrself.
being disabled now its hard to find land based fishing spots and that place looks good but its one of those board walks constructed in recent years ,have no idea where a lot of the places you fish at , please add the area in descriptions for those with disabilities,I use a frame to walk but planning to get a scooter for long hiking places to fish thanks.

What a cracken fish easy 85cm so easy he could have taken you into any structure along there easily ,& it was silver so it came from the bay amazing capture now try the same with 4lb off a beach with the same fish iv done it fishing for shy whiting 25mins to land , bycatch always rocks lol

Actually picked up some sheets of lexan and will be making some of my first bibbed divers, going for a little 40mm “hardz style” deep divers for my next trip along the rockwall….
