I think a lot of this depends on the skill of Survivors, perks the Survivors are using and the map. If Survivors are on comms then that'll just make it incredibly difficult
Absolutely, i've had games that they only got one generator and games i've only got one hook and infinitely stunned by flashlights and T-bagged into oblivion. It Absolutely depends on the map and the players this game can be so much fun or and an absolute nightmare
I really respect the fact that you actually got the Adept for each killer and based the tier list on that instead of, let's say, the killer's powers and perks strenght. :D
Really interesting to see your opinions! I’ve only adapted a few killers, but Pyramid Head was by far the hardest I’ve done, because his perks are hot garbage and because the game punishes you points and emblem wise for using cages.
As a Pyramid Head main, getting his adept was the sweatiest I've had to play. His perks aren't the worst, and two of them see regular use in many builds, but his addons are basically non-existent. Not only does his power often count against you for emblems, but it's also really low scoring, so even though you've used it a lot throughout the match you can still get a gold or silver emblem.
@@IndieAme you’re super lucky. It took me at least 10 tries. Eventually I gave up and sent myself to Midwich with double range addons and played the sweatiest I have ever played in my life. I apologized to the survivors after and they were super understanding when they realized I was going for adept, LMAO.
I got adept Pyramid Head on my first try on the OG RPD map. I find the cages to become inconvenient when using the very large map to my advantage to slow down the gens since the cage can just spawn right next to one of the survivors.
I’ve had all the adepts back around dbds 2-3 year. Gotta admit pig and trapper back then were much harder but I managed to get ‘em all. And I feel like with the new adept challenge I have some sort of crown on my head.

I think I'll do a survivor one, but it's much more simple as it's purely just a test of how well you can perform with the perk set. If anything it's more down to how good your team are.
Honestly i think Furtive Chase idea could have such great utility with a rework Per example: When hooking the obsession you gain a token, for each token, following effects will take place during a chase 1 token: No heartbeat 2 tokens: No red stain 3 tokens: Straight up Undetectable 4 tokens: No Chase Music (And ofc the savior becomes the obsession)

Not a bad idea, but this wouldn't work on its own, right? Unless you have a perk that switches obsessions or the survivors bring one, you'd be restricted to 3 tokens.
You should do a video like this one ranking every killer daily ritual involving their power. ( Ex: Hit 5 survivors with hatchets as huntress or down 4 survivors using lethal rush as blight) and rank them easiest to hardest to complete.
The only reason I got adept Blight first try is because I suck so much at him, and get SO thrashed, that when I tried it out, my MMR was extremely low so I got bad survivors.
Yeah, they really need to change the adept challenges for killer to getting a 4k instead of merciless killer. It means that killers with auto-down powers automatically are at a disadvantage. It’s kinda crazy that the survivor one is just to escape, not get 4 iridescent medals or something similar

As Someone who has gotten all Adapts on Killer before the "4k = Merciless" Update: ~My 3 Hardest Killers to adapt were Plague, Bubba, & Wesker; otherwise I got the rest of the Killers in 1~3 games {Nurse took me about 5, but only After I used the Matchbox add-on}. Plague took me 18 games because Infection gave me issues with Emblems, So I M1 w/ her and Puked on Hook for Slow down; Bubba I just Couldn't figure out his chainsaw, so I used it on Pallets & Played him M1; Wesker I got right when he came out & his Power was bugged with Emblems, So I used the Pallet Breaking Add-on and M1 w/ him {was also at Iri4 Rank, making it harder too}.
I got Trapper adept on my first try. Granted it was in an indoor map, but still. When you go up against survivors that aren’t in a party, Trapper can actually be very fun. I probably just got really lucky
I think it greatly depends on what time of day you’re playing. When I was doing my nemesis one it took 15+ games cause the players all seemed cracked. Yet with trapper and Freddy it was just the one game
I got Trapper's adept achievement first try by just sending myself to Rpd. It's actually that simple, use an rpd offering as survivors essentially cannot dodge most of the trap placements in this map.
Getting adept plague can be very difficult I think personally due to the fact you are punished in the chaser category for “insta-downing” survivors that are infected and you also get punished in the malicious category whenever a survivor cleanses because the emblems look at it like well you let the survivors heal 9 times. Changing the requirement to simply a 4K is much better than having to get a merciless killer.

Since the FOV changes now being a basekit option, Wraith is clearly now the hardest adept, since he is pretty weak already and now has the worst perks in the game. Got my first killer adept (Michael) yesterday. Using scratched mirror with the perals for faster movement speed in stalk and bringing a Lery's offering made the game pretty easy and fun. And the survivors somehow were so dumb in some cases. I was out the room for a second and they went for the unhook and me seeing thrm every time. And Meg hiding in a locker in the basement, when I hooked the other still living survivor😂. They only got 2 gens done. Was pretty fun. It took me two attempts, because a stupid Diwght sent my to Eyre, which is (with Swamp) by far the worst map for scratched mirror Myers (I didn't even get a single down).
I have adepted all killers I have, I consider myself a low mmr player and I did all the adepts before the rework (all merciless 2 pips) so here are my thoughts: Trapper. Took me way longer that anticipated, on one hand you got strong survivors that just play really well, or you get potato survivors that don't do gens or rescue, meaning you get less points for less hooks. I tried the trapper bag and the add on that opens traps automatically, it is too strong so I opted for speed in setting. It worked on around 10th attempt. Wraith. You play ignoring the perks, focus on add ons that silence your bell or make it map wide, and for faster uncloaking, not too bad overall, 3 attempts. Hillbilly. My bane, you don't respect pallets, but nobody tries to hit you with a pallet with him, tinkerer is the only perk that helps. Focus on chainsaw faster charge. It took me more than 10 attempts to get him. Nurse. The last character I adepted, I have played her only once before I attempted the trophy. I can't play her even if my life depended on her. Still got her on second try. Why? Midwich and potato survivors. Used the add on to look where my blinks go, stridor helped in locating survivors behind cover, nurse calling on aura reading, and thanatophobia was a decent slowdown. Huntress. Took me way too long too. Some attempts were foiled because I killed too fast. Her perks are horrible, but her add ons will carry. Focus on faster wind up. 5 or more attempts. Hag. Easy peasy. Her perks were very nice back then, and her add ons were good. First try. Very few people know how to play and counter her. Demogorgon. Impossible to adept. It's add ons are something else... the perks are niche, but nice overall, very few dead hards, a passive slowdown that relies on knocking down survivors, if the trophy would have popped, I would saw around 5 tries. Deathslinger. Very hard for me, more than 10 tries. I am decent with him, so my mmr is quite high. I got the trophy after his rework/nerf. Perks are okay, add ons are the worst I have ever seen. Just focus on reload speed. Blight. Very easy. Strong killer with busted add ons, 2 attempts. Perks are not very useful actually. Twins. 2nd try, few people know her counters too. Her add ons are not good, focus on toy sword and information. Her perks cover you in slowdown, lethality and information, mediocre individually, bit you won't be completely helpless. Trickster. Very easy, second attempt too. Very good perks in slowdown and lethality. Don't remember his add ons, but will come in a clutch. Nemesis, 2nd try also. I did this before Eruption buff. Still back then it was a sleeper. Lethal pursuer was the main reason to play as him. The zombies may or not carry your run. I did however run add-ons to buff them. Artist. Great power, good add-ons, great perks. Just send the birds flying, keep your pentimento up at all times, don't tunnel, keep hooking people I'm those white hooks. Got her on 2 play ever. Dredge. My lord, my main, I could have gotten his adept on first play ever, but I confused his perks with the other free perk that came with him. Speaking of perks, dissolution may help here and there, but not very much. Septic Touch is straight bad. But darkness revealed is chef kiss on him, anyone nearby a locker will be revealed, just teleport to that locker and voila. Use always malthinkers skull in your attempts, the field recorder will also give you more nightfalls.
Funny, me and kyto are having the exact opposite problems. Clown, trapper and the rest of his challenges came easy to me but nurse has taken me over 13 games
I got Trapper Adept the first match I attempted it, which was also the first time I played Trapper at all. Meanwhile, it took me many matches to do the same with Pyramid Head, who I had a little practice with.
I was on the same journey as you, trying to get the Adept achievement for every killer, and It's genuinenly surprising how different my personal tier list is from yours. Mostly because of the nurse - I've been struggling with her for several matches in a row. Dunno, maybe she was nerfed recently (never really played her before), but she gave me such a hard time because of the slow speed and overall clunkyness. Playing as the nurse gave me a strong feel that she's reliant on good perks and that's how you actually get better at her. Every other killer was quite easy. I'd say this trophy and your video ensured me that DbD is mostly based on luck: what perks and items your opponents use and whether they're SWF or not. On weekends 1 out of 4 matches is against sweaty SWF with toolboxes, flashlights, Dead Hard, Adrenaline, Kindred and etc.
I think the biggest thing that makes Doctor's adept hard is Monitor actually HURTING your big static blast because it's based on your terror radius. Since your terror radius is smaller unless you are in chase you can't just blast normally to find people as well as blast for a bit of slowdown since survivors will have to snap out of it.
What a good video to try to complete those adepts and see there's some bug that is for some reason just doesn't allow you to get your achievment unfortunately.
The killers that I found hardest to get adepts for were the ones with heavy momentum-based powers (Trapper, Plague, Pig, Oni, Hag). This is because, prior to the condition change, it made it almost impossible to get gold or iri gatekeeper emblems on them since they benefit from the late-game and lose gens fast early.
Have a question according to video, how adepts are woking now, you need to still get +2 pips or 4 iridescent grades, or 4k condition is working? Because I've done every condition and I didnt got adepts
I did all the adepts a little while ago, back when wesker came out i think, and plague was so cursed for me. I played dozens of games, with so many 4ks but just could never secure the double pip. The old system was so broken, in the worst way.
I have a fun idea for a trapper achievement Simple all you need to do to get it is that you have to be carrying a survivor as someone has to step into a trap along with someone disarming it and the 3rd guy has to be cleansing a totem along with you having noed and bamboozle
It's probably becuz I'm a doc main, but I had gotten my adept after 2-3 tries (and this was back before the change to obtaining merciless). You're right in the lack of information perks making it difficult, which is why the addons I brought were iri king and calm carter's notes. Calm was to offset/synergize with monitor, and iri king was to provide the remaining 3 madness effects to help with both locating and chasing survivors.
I've got nemesis, cenobite, wraith, dr and deathslinger so far. Ceno was the hardest but he's also my main. I genuinely think I've got the others due to MMR meaning I'm playing people who aren't as good. Although Dr was against a swf streamer 😂
It's also worth noting that killer mmr is kinda separate, so if you do it with a challenging killer you never use, it might still be easy because you'll also be going up against lower skill survivors than you would using a killer you play often.
I can say that as I decided to get adept with every killer before picking a favorite, my experience was pretty chill, I didn't knew you could use add-ons at the beginning of that, so I did half the killers without add-ons before knowing that, then when I learned you could, I still did them without add-ons to get a better idea of the base power, it was fun
I find it interesting that class based games like DBD, don’t starve and something else which I can’t remember where their starter characters as in Wilson and Trapper both started good but became worse as more characters were added and reworked while they stayed the same
I got my first Adept the other day. It was with Sadako, and it was the day I first got her too (like two or three games in). I wasn't even really trying to get it, I just played how I normally played (Got the Blood Web up to level 10, and just put her basic perks on because I thought they were so good).
I'm so glad I got all the older killers' adepts a long time ago. Most before they switched to SBMMR, because nowadays it'd be far more trouble than it's worth. The biggest pain to adept hunt for was Hag... I had no interest in Hag for the longest time but decided to get her just to say I got everyone's. Every match her hexes would go down in seconds and I'd be at a huge disadvantage. Then... Oddly enough, I get a match set at RCPD and... shockingly I pull it off. Not a single hex was cleansed and with that I was finally able to get the 4k Merciless killer done. Other than that, what I absolutely HATE about adept challenges is that if anyone DCs you're screwed out of the Merciless no matter how good you do beyond that.
Out of all the Killers I've gotten adept on, Nemesis was the hardest. It took me... literally 8 hours of just playing Nemesis with the old Merciless system just to get it. Meanwhile I can tell you the one adept that made me the most angry and it was getting Artist's adept. On old Haddonfield. First try. I still harp about it to this day, but another memorable Killer adept that I got was Pyramid Head's adept, mostly done because I had a daily, and *sent myself to the Borgo.* Primarily because I figured that since the map was so red, it'd be hard for Survivors to see the trails of torment I left behind. And I wasn't wrong!
Been getting every new killers adept within launch week since pinhead and have only recently started going back and getting the rest of them. Half way done so far, a majority of the games I lost were due to last survivor getting lucky with hatch
Took me forever to get Oni's and Trappers adepts. I was always so close to getting them, like just a hair away from getting merciless but didn't get them due to people DCing early or killing themselves on first hook. Finally got them both on RPD a few months back.
I personaly have problem with "easyest" tier for me is imposible play this killer :/ and for exmple i cant get even Bubba because i end game too fast XD like 15 game and still nothink....uh...
just a heads up, I got Sadako's adept achievement with condemning 3/4 of the survivors. I'm pretty sure you need like 7 hooks or something, and the condemns each counted as 1
Something to keep in mind for adepts is that their difficulty will vary between everyone. Due to MMR the more that you play a killer the harder the adept is in a lot of cases. Any killer that i had a lot of experience on had a REALLY difficult adept, even though i was used to the power, the skill of the survivors is dramatically higher on average the more you have played the killer. This is definitely something to keep in mind when ranking adept difficulty by number of games and personal experiences. It's not to say all games will be brutal, but a larger majority of them will be, and I noticed you felt that on a few killers in your adepts as well!
Thankfully, I was able to get the achievement for adept Wraith on my first game. But I played Trapper adept style, and I did right the three unique perks, the 4k on survivors, both iridescent add-ons, but for some reason, I didn't get the achievement for the 4k adept style Trapper and I was so confused about what went wrong. But so far, I got up towards the Huntress.
I’ve done a couple adepts, and the easiest so far was clown (I didn’t do blight or nurse). Redhead’s finger, Midwich - GGWP BYE. You really should have used map offerings, would help a lot!
Clown I feel has a lot of odd tech that no other killer really gets with his speed bottle, I personally play Knight the most lately so pallets are a bit of a lost cause for survivors most of the time
4:54 "its perks are really bad" in what universe? Darkness revealed is like an on comman BBQ based on lockers which is great ESPECIALLY on Dredge, and the Pallet one comes in handy at least twice a match for me, i found his adept quite easy, certainly easier than some of the ones youve ranked below him. Your just a little map dependant, but you can still run addons, and even bring a map offering, but i ran a terrormisu and two browns and got it on my second try. Ghostface took me 4 hours. Artist was difficult because im bad at her Spirit, i got a lucky snowball with her.
didn't do adept achievements yet but this vid did motivate me to do it i tried only one match which is trapper i suffered soo much since the map was "The game" i remember i got like 3k or som anyway great vid keep it up woho
Trail of Torment is just fire on Pyramid Head. I usually pair it with Pop goes the weasel and, on some killers, Survelliance to max out the efficency for the time i spend on kicking gens
It's crazy that Clown is so high. I started with Clown last June and first game I could have gotten a 4k if I didn't let the last survivor go, mostly because I was surprised that I had a good beginner's luck and didn't cared if the last survivor had hatch or not. With that said, I agree, he used to have amazing perks before the overhaul, Pop is only good with high mobile killers, and even then has to compete with other perks that aren't gen related. Coulrophobia is just a meme with Doctor like Huntress Lullaby, and while Bamboozle is still pretty good, not too many killers are without anti loop of some sort. Not saying his perks need a buff, but Clown's perks have been powercrept or just aren't useful. People should still give him a try if you are starting out as he is quite easy to pilot, plus you can do some tricks with him, but I wouldn't recommend him if you are looking to unlock good teachables. At this point Trapper has better perks thanks to Brutal Strength and Agitation, both have their uses with any killer really even if there's better perks, but he would be one of the killer to start since he forces you to learn the maps with his bear traps and his two teachables have decent applications. You probably won't play him again so you might as well get him prestiged and then you can pass on him if you want to. Wraith would be another, however I feel it's best you get at least one other killer prestiged so that you can give him more perks to work with. Pop can actually work with Wraith as his cloak ability makes good use of the perk to get around more quickly, same with Bamboozle. It just really depends on the type of play style you want, plus since Wraith's perks are mostly bad, there should be no hurry in getting him past level 50. Fun to play, but really needs teachables to do very well.
I have a quite reliable way for adepts. I just pump BP into a new released killer until at least level 15 and just run the 3 base perks until I get the adept. Your mmr is not that high, because the killer is new and also you don't get used to meta perks. Works like a charm for me. I rarely got a killer that I need more than 3 trys.
I've only Adepted half of the killers and I don't remember how challenging I thought some were but I know for sure my most challenging one was the Nurse! on the other hand, my easiest was the Spirit because I got it the first time I even tried playing as her!
I have a self-imposed challenge: when I play a new character, whether survivor or killer, I have to play them with their Adept perks until I get the achievement. This means that when it comes to killer Adepts, I go in with low MMR for that killer, but also zero experience with their power. I also got all my current Adept achievements before the change that made killer Adepts much easier (i.e. I did them when you had to get a double-pip rather than just a 4K). Most killers took five or fewer games to Adept, and I got Adept on the very first game with three killers: Oni, Blight, and Wesker. I also *would have* gotten Adept on the first game with Cenobite, but the DC bug that plagued his release robbed me. I'm not sure exactly how many killers I adepted on the second game, but I know Knight is one of them. The killers I found hardest to Adept were Nurse, Demogorgon, and Bubba, each of whom took upwards of ten attempts. With Nurse, that felt fair; she's a mechanically difficult killer whose power doesn't really mesh with my typical playstyle, so I was always going to struggle with her. Demogorgon also felt okay because while I struggled getting the Adept, I did feel like it was fun to play. Bubba, on the other hand... I *hated* trying to get Adept Bubba. His playstyle just does not appeal to me, and playing him over and over and over ended up feeling like a chore. Sorry, Bubba fans, I just can't.
I also did all the adapts and I remember having to do 8 games with Plague because her event scores where still bugged. So you were almost not able to get any point for the category that regards killer power. Made me lose my shit because I didn't know what I was doing wrong Also when I started, I remember thinking you weren't allowed to use addons. So to keep it consistent, I did all of them without addons. Which is a little challenge I made for myself

idk why but wraith, sadako, huntress and TRAPPER(?) i did in one game. huntress was after 50 total hours in the game, but the rest were very recent (150 killer hours total)
I started playing 2 weeks ago and the only killer I've used is trapper I must say I do well and usually get 3 or 4 kills and I really enjoy playing him
So I'm not the only one that gets shockingly good results with Billy. I have 3 or 4 adepts but his was the first one I ever got. I wasn't even trying, I just had to do a daily ritual of chainsawing people, and for no good reason I just put the three perks because I didn't care about leveling him up (prestige 0, level 18 or something), and boom, adept.... Ok
I agree with clown being the hardest but myers was really hard for me. I'm not brilliant with him anyways but his perks kinda counter his play style. Hes power rewards one hit downs and slugs while stbfl and pwyf reward a hit and run tactic. I ended up going jumpscare myers on lerys to get the achievement
Question: Have they fixed earning adepts yet? I must have gotten like 4 or 5 Merciless 4K's with all iridescent emblems for Clown's adept since they changed the system and I never got my achievement, just curious if it got fixed in today's bugfix
Its kinda ironic because for me personally, the adept achievement feels like them on the tier lists. And for me personally, I made them fun by doing them themed. Like doing Myers adept on Haddonfield with a tombstone piece. Also I made sure to get use out of all of their teachables
me who got the 4 base killers adept back in 2017 back when it use to get the adept by unlocking their perks and teachable perks good old times back then it was very hard to get adept killers
As someone who is currently doing all adept the struggle is really, having problems with hag but I think it’s people I am trying to keep my hexes up cuz they find them in the first 3 seconds of a game. The other struggle is DCs
I love dbd and watching your vids made me keep at it I was fed up with this games community I was tired of getting slugged every game I’m still angry at behavior for their crappy hit boxes makes going across pallets a gamble or going through a window a gamble I’m on the other side of the room and I go down because the killer somehow hit me I wound up quitting survivor because once I hit iri all my team mates were idiots

Can you rank killer walk animations? There's a great degree of subjectivity but I feel some highlights are Sadako and Nurse. However, there's plenty uninspired ones like Doctor, ghostface, huntress etc. Two that I have a soft spot for are Clown and Trapper. I love Trapper's motivated walk and I think Clown's long strides is honestly kind of scary. I find Knights galloping funny :)
I recently got every adept achievement and I’d say the hardest one was adept huntress. Without aura reading she’s really just a ranged killer and without the right maps it’s practically impossible almost made me quit.
Wesker I had a bit of issue with becuaee I kept getting survivors who would dc wouldn’t give me long chases, they all weren’t very good and not coordinated at all
I keep hearing that Wraith is weak yet so many seem to panic when he uncloaks nearby. Same with Trapper. A decent trapper will leave traps in high traffic spots and ruin many a team.
I got my huntress one actually pretty easy but they also kinda threw in the match I was doing so it was kinda a hollow win, but I didn’t complain considering I got it first try. And territorial imperative actually gave me value funny enough

Hag I had a terrible time with because either I'd win too fast (devour, survivors giving up, etc) or there'd be at least one person with a flashlight who knew how to use it against the hag so I never got to use my power,
I remember when Trickster came out i had barely any perks for him so i'd just play with his base ones and i accidentally got an adept because of that lol
It took me 3 games in a day (I suck at Nurse normally) One of the games was a 3K and the other was a 3 hook deaths with 1 person dying on the ground… I was mad after realizing that meant I didn’t get my achievement lol
Pinhead’s perks definitely aren’t crutch perks so you have to be pretty good at the character to be able to get value out of them. But also, even if you do really well, his power is so RNG based that bad maps can completely ruin it. I had a match where I was playing Pinhead and immediately started a chain hunt and got into chase and hit every chain that game except two and I still ended up losing four generators because of how large the map was.

Dark Devotion, Corrupt Intervention, and Infectious Fright being part of Plague's basekit is crazy.
Dark devotion saved my a$$ and really much helped me to get the achievment. As well as Trail of Torment in case of Pyramidhead
I think a lot of this depends on the skill of Survivors, perks the Survivors are using and the map. If Survivors are on comms then that'll just make it incredibly difficult
Absolutely, i've had games that they only got one generator and games i've only got one hook and infinitely stunned by flashlights and T-bagged into oblivion. It Absolutely depends on the map and the players this game can be so much fun or and an absolute nightmare

I’ve only adapted a few killers, but Pyramid Head was by far the hardest I’ve done, because his perks are hot garbage and because the game punishes you points and emblem wise for using cages.
it is a bit easier to adept now as a 4k counts as Merciless regardless of points
As a Pyramid Head main, getting his adept was the sweatiest I've had to play. His perks aren't the worst, and two of them see regular use in many builds, but his addons are basically non-existent. Not only does his power often count against you for emblems, but it's also really low scoring, so even though you've used it a lot throughout the match you can still get a gold or silver emblem.
I feel lucky then, because I unlocked his adept on first try ahahah
@@IndieAme you’re super lucky. It took me at least 10 tries. Eventually I gave up and sent myself to Midwich with double range addons and played the sweatiest I have ever played in my life. I apologized to the survivors after and they were super understanding when they realized I was going for adept, LMAO.
I got adept Pyramid Head on my first try on the OG RPD map. I find the cages to become inconvenient when using the very large map to my advantage to slow down the gens since the cage can just spawn right next to one of the survivors.

I’ve had all the adepts back around dbds 2-3 year. Gotta admit pig and trapper back then were much harder but I managed to get ‘em all. And I feel like with the new adept challenge I have some sort of crown on my head.

I think I'll do a survivor one, but it's much more simple as it's purely just a test of how well you can perform with the perk set. If anything it's more down to how good your team are.
Honestly i think Furtive Chase idea could have such great utility with a rework

When hooking the obsession you gain a token, for each token, following effects will take place during a chase
1 token: No heartbeat
2 tokens: No red stain
3 tokens: Straight up Undetectable
4 tokens: No Chase Music
(And ofc the savior becomes the obsession)

You should do a video like this one ranking every killer daily ritual involving their power. ( Ex: Hit 5 survivors with hatchets as huntress or down 4 survivors using lethal rush as blight) and rank them easiest to hardest to complete.

The only reason I got adept Blight first try is because I suck so much at him, and get SO thrashed, that when I tried it out, my MMR was extremely low so I got bad survivors.
My problem with adept Myers was that I have been killing survivors too quickly and always ended up with "ruthless killer" due to lack of points
Yeah, they really need to change the adept challenges for killer to getting a 4k instead of merciless killer. It means that killers with auto-down powers automatically are at a disadvantage.

As Someone who has gotten all Adapts on Killer before the "4k = Merciless" Update:
~My 3 Hardest Killers to adapt were Plague, Bubba, & Wesker; otherwise I got the rest of the Killers in 1~3 games {Nurse took me about 5, but only After I used the Matchbox add-on}.
Plague took me 18 games because Infection gave me issues with Emblems, So I M1 w/ her and Puked on Hook for Slow down; Bubba I just Couldn't figure out his chainsaw, so I used it on Pallets & Played him M1; Wesker I got right when he came out & his Power was bugged with Emblems, So I used the Pallet Breaking Add-on and M1 w/ him {was also at Iri4 Rank, making it harder too}.
Wesker was my easiest one, because superior anatomy synergizes extremely well with his power. I use it often and get a lot of value from it.

I got Trapper adept on my first try. Granted it was in an indoor map, but still. When you go up against survivors that aren’t in a party, Trapper can actually be very fun. I probably just got really lucky
I think it greatly depends on what time of day you’re playing. When I was doing my nemesis one it took 15+ games cause the players all seemed cracked. Yet with trapper and Freddy it was just the one game
I got Trapper's adept achievement first try by just sending myself to Rpd. It's actually that simple, use an rpd offering as survivors essentially cannot dodge most of the trap placements in this map.
Getting adept plague can be very difficult I think personally due to the fact you are punished in the chaser category for “insta-downing” survivors that are infected and you also get punished in the malicious category whenever a survivor cleanses because the emblems look at it like well you let the survivors heal 9 times. Changing the requirement to simply a 4K is much better than having to get a merciless killer.

For adept legion I thought it would be hard, but I luckily got a bully squad that were all using head on so it was a breeze
Since the FOV changes now being a basekit option, Wraith is clearly now the hardest adept, since he is pretty weak already and now has the worst perks in the game.
Got my first killer adept (Michael) yesterday.
Using scratched mirror with the perals for faster movement speed in stalk and bringing a Lery's offering made the game pretty easy and fun.
And the survivors somehow were so dumb in some cases. I was out the room for a second and they went for the unhook and me seeing thrm every time. And Meg hiding in a locker in the basement, when I hooked the other still living survivor😂.
They only got 2 gens done. Was pretty fun.
It took me two attempts, because a stupid Diwght sent my to Eyre, which is (with Swamp) by far the worst map for scratched mirror Myers (I didn't even get a single down).

I have adepted all killers I have, I consider myself a low mmr player and I did all the adepts before the rework (all merciless 2 pips) so here are my thoughts:
Trapper. Took me way longer that anticipated, on one hand you got strong survivors that just play really well, or you get potato survivors that don't do gens or rescue, meaning you get less points for less hooks. I tried the trapper bag and the add on that opens traps automatically, it is too strong so I opted for speed in setting. It worked on around 10th attempt.
Wraith. You play ignoring the perks, focus on add ons that silence your bell or make it map wide, and for faster uncloaking, not too bad overall, 3 attempts.
Hillbilly. My bane, you don't respect pallets, but nobody tries to hit you with a pallet with him, tinkerer is the only perk that helps. Focus on chainsaw faster charge. It took me more than 10 attempts to get him.
Nurse. The last character I adepted, I have played her only once before I attempted the trophy. I can't play her even if my life depended on her. Still got her on second try. Why? Midwich and potato survivors. Used the add on to look where my blinks go, stridor helped in locating survivors behind cover, nurse calling on aura reading, and thanatophobia was a decent slowdown.
Huntress. Took me way too long too. Some attempts were foiled because I killed too fast. Her perks are horrible, but her add ons will carry. Focus on faster wind up. 5 or more attempts.
Hag. Easy peasy. Her perks were very nice back then, and her add ons were good. First try. Very few people know how to play and counter her.
Demogorgon. Impossible to adept. It's add ons are something else... the perks are niche, but nice overall, very few dead hards, a passive slowdown that relies on knocking down survivors, if the trophy would have popped, I would saw around 5 tries.
Deathslinger. Very hard for me, more than 10 tries. I am decent with him, so my mmr is quite high. I got the trophy after his rework/nerf. Perks are okay, add ons are the worst I have ever seen. Just focus on reload speed.
Blight. Very easy. Strong killer with busted add ons, 2 attempts. Perks are not very useful actually.
Twins. 2nd try, few people know her counters too. Her add ons are not good, focus on toy sword and information. Her perks cover you in slowdown, lethality and information, mediocre individually, bit you won't be completely helpless.
Trickster. Very easy, second attempt too. Very good perks in slowdown and lethality. Don't remember his add ons, but will come in a clutch.
Nemesis, 2nd try also. I did this before Eruption buff. Still back then it was a sleeper. Lethal pursuer was the main reason to play as him. The zombies may or not carry your run. I did however run add-ons to buff them.
Artist. Great power, good add-ons, great perks. Just send the birds flying, keep your pentimento up at all times, don't tunnel, keep hooking people I'm those white hooks. Got her on 2 play ever.
Dredge. My lord, my main, I could have gotten his adept on first play ever, but I confused his perks with the other free perk that came with him. Speaking of perks, dissolution may help here and there, but not very much. Septic Touch is straight bad. But darkness revealed is chef kiss on him, anyone nearby a locker will be revealed, just teleport to that locker and voila. Use always malthinkers skull in your attempts, the field recorder will also give you more nightfalls.
Funny, me and kyto are having the exact opposite problems. Clown, trapper and the rest of his challenges came easy to me but nurse has taken me over 13 games
I got Trapper Adept the first match I attempted it, which was also the first time I played Trapper at all. Meanwhile, it took me many matches to do the same with Pyramid Head, who I had a little practice with.

I was on the same journey as you, trying to get the Adept achievement for every killer, and It's genuinenly surprising how different my personal tier list is from yours. Mostly because of the nurse - I've been struggling with her for several matches in a row. Dunno, maybe she was nerfed recently (never really played her before), but she gave me such a hard time because of the slow speed and overall clunkyness. Playing as the nurse gave me a strong feel that she's reliant on good perks and that's how you actually get better at her. Every other killer was quite easy.
I'd say this trophy and your video ensured me that DbD is mostly based on luck: what perks and items your opponents use and whether they're SWF or not. On weekends 1 out of 4 matches is against sweaty SWF with toolboxes, flashlights, Dead Hard, Adrenaline, Kindred and etc.

I think the biggest thing that makes Doctor's adept hard is Monitor actually HURTING your big static blast because it's based on your terror radius. Since your terror radius is smaller unless you are in chase you can't just blast normally to find people as well as blast for a bit of slowdown since survivors will have to snap out of it.
What a good video to try to complete those adepts and see there's some bug that is for some reason just doesn't allow you to get your achievment unfortunately.
The killers that I found hardest to get adepts for were the ones with heavy momentum-based powers (Trapper, Plague, Pig, Oni, Hag). This is because, prior to the condition change, it made it almost impossible to get gold or iri gatekeeper emblems on them since they benefit from the late-game and lose gens fast early.
Have a question according to video, how adepts are woking now, you need to still get +2 pips or 4 iridescent grades, or 4k condition is working? Because I've done every condition and I didnt got adepts
I did all the adepts a little while ago, back when wesker came out i think, and plague was so cursed for me. I played dozens of games, with so many 4ks but just could never secure the double pip. The old system was so broken, in the worst way.
I have a fun idea for a trapper achievement
Simple all you need to do to get it is that you have to be carrying a survivor as someone has to step into a trap along with someone disarming it and the 3rd guy has to be cleansing a totem along with you having noed and bamboozle
It's probably becuz I'm a doc main, but I had gotten my adept after 2-3 tries (and this was back before the change to obtaining merciless). You're right in the lack of information perks making it difficult, which is why the addons I brought were iri king and calm carter's notes. Calm was to offset/synergize with monitor, and iri king was to provide the remaining 3 madness effects to help with both locating and chasing survivors.
Speaking of adept, has anyone been going through a bug where the perks have to be t3?

I've got nemesis, cenobite, wraith, dr and deathslinger so far. Ceno was the hardest but he's also my main. I genuinely think I've got the others due to MMR meaning I'm playing people who aren't as good. Although Dr was against a swf streamer 😂

It's also worth noting that killer mmr is kinda separate, so if you do it with a challenging killer you never use, it might still be easy because you'll also be going up against lower skill survivors than you would using a killer you play often.
I can say that as I decided to get adept with every killer before picking a favorite, my experience was pretty chill, I didn't knew you could use add-ons at the beginning of that, so I did half the killers without add-ons before knowing that, then when I learned you could, I still did them without add-ons to get a better idea of the base power, it was fun

I find it interesting that class based games like DBD, don’t starve and something else which I can’t remember where their starter characters as in Wilson and Trapper both started good but became worse as more characters were added and reworked while they stayed the same
I got my first Adept the other day. It was with Sadako, and it was the day I first got her too (like two or three games in). I wasn't even really trying to get it, I just played how I normally played (Got the Blood Web up to level 10, and just put her basic perks on because I thought they were so good).
I'm so glad I got all the older killers' adepts a long time ago. Most before they switched to SBMMR, because nowadays it'd be far more trouble than it's worth. The biggest pain to adept hunt for was Hag... I had no interest in Hag for the longest time but decided to get her just to say I got everyone's. Every match her hexes would go down in seconds and I'd be at a huge disadvantage. Then... Oddly enough, I get a match set at RCPD and... shockingly I pull it off. Not a single hex was cleansed and with that I was finally able to get the 4k Merciless killer done.
Other than that, what I absolutely HATE about adept challenges is that if anyone DCs you're screwed out of the Merciless no matter how good you do beyond that.
Out of all the Killers I've gotten adept on, Nemesis was the hardest. It took me... literally 8 hours of just playing Nemesis with the old Merciless system just to get it.
Meanwhile I can tell you the one adept that made me the most angry and it was getting Artist's adept. On old Haddonfield. First try.
I still harp about it to this day, but another memorable Killer adept that I got was Pyramid Head's adept, mostly done because I had a daily, and *sent myself to the Borgo.* Primarily because I figured that since the map was so red, it'd be hard for Survivors to see the trails of torment I left behind. And I wasn't wrong!
Been getting every new killers adept within launch week since pinhead and have only recently started going back and getting the rest of them. Half way done so far, a majority of the games I lost were due to last survivor getting lucky with hatch

Took me forever to get Oni's and Trappers adepts. I was always so close to getting them, like just a hair away from getting merciless but didn't get them due to people DCing early or killing themselves on first hook. Finally got them both on RPD a few months back.
I personaly have problem with "easyest" tier for me is imposible play this killer :/ and for exmple i cant get even Bubba because i end game too fast XD like 15 game and still nothink....uh...
just a heads up, I got Sadako's adept achievement with condemning 3/4 of the survivors. I'm pretty sure you need like 7 hooks or something, and the condemns each counted as 1
Something to keep in mind for adepts is that their difficulty will vary between everyone. Due to MMR the more that you play a killer the harder the adept is in a lot of cases. Any killer that i had a lot of experience on had a REALLY difficult adept, even though i was used to the power, the skill of the survivors is dramatically higher on average the more you have played the killer. This is definitely something to keep in mind when ranking adept difficulty by number of games and personal experiences. It's not to say all games will be brutal, but a larger majority of them will be, and I noticed you felt that on a few killers in your adepts as well!
Thankfully, I was able to get the achievement for adept Wraith on my first game. But I played Trapper adept style, and I did right the three unique perks, the 4k on survivors, both iridescent add-ons, but for some reason, I didn't get the achievement for the 4k adept style Trapper and I was so confused about what went wrong. But so far, I got up towards the Huntress.
clown is actually easy. offering to midwitch and the add on that reveals auras and tehre you go. max 2 tries

Clown I feel has a lot of odd tech that no other killer really gets with his speed bottle, I personally play Knight the most lately so pallets are a bit of a lost cause for survivors most of the time

Darkness revealed is like an on comman BBQ based on lockers which is great ESPECIALLY on Dredge, and the Pallet one comes in handy at least twice a match for me, i found his adept quite easy, certainly easier than some of the ones youve ranked below him.
Your just a little map dependant, but you can still run addons, and even bring a map offering, but i ran a terrormisu and two browns and got it on my second try.

Trail of Torment is just fire on Pyramid Head. I usually pair it with Pop goes the weasel and, on some killers, Survelliance to max out the efficency for the time i spend on kicking gens
It's crazy that Clown is so high. I started with Clown last June and first game I could have gotten a 4k if I didn't let the last survivor go, mostly because I was surprised that I had a good beginner's luck and didn't cared if the last survivor had hatch or not.
With that said, I agree, he used to have amazing perks before the overhaul, Pop is only good with high mobile killers, and even then has to compete with other perks that aren't gen related. Coulrophobia is just a meme with Doctor like Huntress Lullaby, and while Bamboozle is still pretty good, not too many killers are without anti loop of some sort. Not saying his perks need a buff, but Clown's perks have been powercrept or just aren't useful. People should still give him a try if you are starting out as he is quite easy to pilot, plus you can do some tricks with him, but I wouldn't recommend him if you are looking to unlock good teachables. At this point Trapper has better perks thanks to Brutal Strength and Agitation, both have their uses with any killer really even if there's better perks, but he would be one of the killer to start since he forces you to learn the maps with his bear traps and his two teachables have decent applications. You probably won't play him again so you might as well get him prestiged and then you can pass on him if you want to. Wraith would be another, however I feel it's best you get at least one other killer prestiged so that you can give him more perks to work with. Pop can actually work with Wraith as his cloak ability makes good use of the perk to get around more quickly, same with Bamboozle. It just really depends on the type of play style you want, plus since Wraith's perks are mostly bad, there should be no hurry in getting him past level 50. Fun to play, but really needs teachables to do very well.
I have a quite reliable way for adepts. I just pump BP into a new released killer until at least level 15 and just run the 3 base perks until I get the adept. Your mmr is not that high, because the killer is new and also you don't get used to meta perks.

Wraith ez imo. Perhaps he’s bad at really high mmr, but I’ve played so many matches and just done nothing but 4k’s or 3k with allowing hatch.
I've only Adepted half of the killers and I don't remember how challenging I thought some were but I know for sure my most challenging one was the Nurse! on the other hand, my easiest was the Spirit because I got it the first time I even tried playing as her!
I have a self-imposed challenge: when I play a new character, whether survivor or killer, I have to play them with their Adept perks until I get the achievement. This means that when it comes to killer Adepts, I go in with low MMR for that killer, but also zero experience with their power. I also got all my current Adept achievements before the change that made killer Adepts much easier (i.e. I did them when you had to get a double-pip rather than just a 4K).
Most killers took five or fewer games to Adept, and I got Adept on the very first game with three killers: Oni, Blight, and Wesker. I also *would have* gotten Adept on the first game with Cenobite, but the DC bug that plagued his release robbed me. I'm not sure exactly how many killers I adepted on the second game, but I know Knight is one of them. The killers I found hardest to Adept were Nurse, Demogorgon, and Bubba, each of whom took upwards of ten attempts. With Nurse, that felt fair; she's a mechanically difficult killer whose power doesn't really mesh with my typical playstyle, so I was always going to struggle with her. Demogorgon also felt okay because while I struggled getting the Adept, I did feel like it was fun to play. Bubba, on the other hand... I *hated* trying to get Adept Bubba. His playstyle just does not appeal to me, and playing him over and over and over ended up feeling like a chore. Sorry, Bubba fans, I just can't.

I also did all the adapts and I remember having to do 8 games with Plague because her event scores where still bugged. So you were almost not able to get any point for the category that regards killer power. Made me lose my shit because I didn't know what I was doing wrong
Also when I started, I remember thinking you weren't allowed to use addons. So to keep it consistent, I did all of them without addons. Which is a little challenge I made for myself

idk why but wraith, sadako, huntress and TRAPPER(?) i did in one game. huntress was after 50 total hours in the game, but the rest were very recent (150 killer hours total)
I started playing 2 weeks ago and the only killer I've used is trapper I must say I do well and usually get 3 or 4 kills and I really enjoy playing him

I have 3 or 4 adepts but his was the first one I ever got. I wasn't even trying, I just had to do a daily ritual of chainsawing people, and for no good reason I just put the three perks because I didn't care about leveling him up (prestige 0, level 18 or something), and boom, adept.... Ok
I agree with clown being the hardest but myers was really hard for me. I'm not brilliant with him anyways but his perks kinda counter his play style. Hes power rewards one hit downs and slugs while stbfl and pwyf reward a hit and run tactic. I ended up going jumpscare myers on lerys to get the achievement
Question: Have they fixed earning adepts yet? I must have gotten like 4 or 5 Merciless 4K's with all iridescent emblems for Clown's adept since they changed the system and I never got my achievement, just curious if it got fixed in today's bugfix
the patch today semi-fixed the issue im pretty sure ? there's still a few bugs with it but for the most part its better !!

Its kinda ironic because for me personally, the adept achievement feels like them on the tier lists.
And for me personally, I made them fun by doing them themed. Like doing Myers adept on Haddonfield with a tombstone piece. Also I made sure to get use out of all of their teachables

As someone who is currently doing all adept the struggle is really, having problems with hag but I think it’s people I am trying to keep my hexes up cuz they find them in the first 3 seconds of a game. The other struggle is DCs
I love dbd and watching your vids made me keep at it I was fed up with this games community I was tired of getting slugged every game I’m still angry at behavior for their crappy hit boxes makes going across pallets a gamble or going through a window a gamble I’m on the other side of the room and I go down because the killer somehow hit me I wound up quitting survivor because once I hit iri all my team mates were idiots
i did doctor today and while my mmr (especially on doctor) is still pretty bad, i had a survivor bring in gideon which made it really easy lol.
Survivor should've been the extreme tier, it's impossible, how are you suppose to get a full perk set and loaded item

Are you kidding me? I play nearly 150 matches to get them all using only the perks while I could use broken add-ons 😢
For me, the first adept one I got was the doctor, and this was when i was just getting used to him.
Can you rank killer walk animations? There's a great degree of subjectivity but I feel some highlights are Sadako and Nurse. However, there's plenty uninspired ones like Doctor, ghostface, huntress etc.
Two that I have a soft spot for are Clown and Trapper. I love Trapper's motivated walk and I think Clown's long strides is honestly kind of scary. I find Knights galloping funny :)
I actually did Trapper in one game one the biggest map back then. It was RPD
I recently got every adept achievement and I’d say the hardest one was adept huntress. Without aura reading she’s really just a ranged killer and without the right maps it’s practically impossible almost made me quit.
Wesker I had a bit of issue with becuaee I kept getting survivors who would dc wouldn’t give me long chases, they all weren’t very good and not coordinated at all
I keep hearing that Wraith is weak yet so many seem to panic when he uncloaks nearby. Same with Trapper. A decent trapper will leave traps in high traffic spots and ruin many a team.
I got my huntress one actually pretty easy but they also kinda threw in the match I was doing so it was kinda a hollow win, but I didn’t complain considering I got it first try. And territorial imperative actually gave me value funny enough
I got dredge adept the day I bought his dlc. He got added to be my main killer along with demogorgon

Hag I had a terrible time with because either I'd win too fast (devour, survivors giving up, etc) or there'd be at least one person with a flashlight who knew how to use it against the hag so I never got to use my power,
I remember when Trickster came out i had barely any perks for him so i'd just play with his base ones and i accidentally got an adept because of that lol
I don't know how, but the very first adept achievement I got, and the very first time I played this killer, was Oni.
For me nurse is one harder ones soley because im terrible at nurse 😅
It took me 3 games in a day (I suck at Nurse normally) One of the games was a 3K and the other was a 3 hook deaths with 1 person dying on the ground… I was mad after realizing that meant I didn’t get my achievement lol
Pinhead’s perks definitely aren’t crutch perks so you have to be pretty good at the character to be able to get value out of them. But also, even if you do really well, his power is so RNG based that bad maps can completely ruin it. I had a match where I was playing Pinhead and immediately started a chain hunt and got into chase and hit every chain that game except two and I still ended up losing four generators because of how large the map was.
