    Very nice explanation & video... But... Looked like you skipped over a bit of prep in the beginning. (I'm probably mistaken)
    In the beginning... Prior to video It looks like you used a tool to taper the material around the hole allowing for the strongest & cleanest possible finish... ?

    So the fiberglass sticks to the plastic bumper better than the bondo hair, and the rough texture of the fiberglass gives the bondo something to grab onto. For smaller holes, could you just scuff the bumper with 40 or 80 grit and apply bondo hair directly, skipping the fiberglass step?

    Instead of cardboard, could you use a piece of a "soda can" worked smooth, then made to conform to the shape of the bumper. This should make a backing that is wrinkle free and require less sanding.

    • @SweetProjectCars
      @SweetProjectCars  6 років тому +3

      thats a great idea, but why we use the cardboard is it leaves the surface a bit rough so the poly flex coating will adhere to it better. thank you for the great comments and tips :)
