The 6 white tractors where shown on display at the ploughing championships in knoctopher County kilkenny in 1978 .I heard they never sold them in ireland and some of the six where sent back to usa as they where too big and expensive for the farmers here at the time .someone can correct me if I'm wrong
I was there at that ploughing match can’t remember the Whites But I do remember the John Deere articulated 4 wheel drive there with a I think 10 furrow Plough I knew the man who bought 1 of the Deer’s,all were a bit out of place in the ireland of the late seventies,bit like now we were conditioned to produce more and more and badly let down in the eighties I have seen a few whites here in Western Australia, they were designed as a pulling tractor some of them had no PTO or Hyd linkage But that white would be a unique collectors tractor

Brilliant Morgan thank you,watching with my tongue hanging out here in Western Australia Fun Fact did you know that the Porsche and Allgaier Similar tractor was assembled in Borris In Ossory Co Laois in the sixties near where I come from ,there was lots of them in our area probably the most economical tractor ever made less than 20 Litre on day’s work Hey not a Zetor in sight sad I was hoping a couple would pop up Who’s the Lanz man John O Connor In Kerry I know a few O’Connors down that way ,,good people I have a starter here in Oz on a forklift that came out of Mikey Hoares place 7 years ago You should call into see Jack Heffernan at Greenfield tractors at Dungeel killorglin A top mechanic a great bloke is Jack Thanks again it’s possibly that my Mrs will put one of them fatways on you Thanks ag
Brilliant information there I must look more into where those porsches were assembled. I do a bit on RadioKerry on agrie time once a month on a Thursday evening
Annoying that the lots of plates are just jumbled up on pallets, can't read what's on them, poorly taken pics inside in a shed. That would put me off bidding. Made a complaint and it was ignored.
Well, there are 422 lots as they are at the moment. If I were to give 30 seconds on every item, the video would be nearer 4 hours . Nothing stopping you from dropping in to see them
@@morganoflahertymachineryofirel it's up to the auctioneers to do this but didn't bother, just being lazy. Most every other auction goes to the trouble. Not all of us have time to go flying around the country to look at a big heaps of plates I might only want one or none of.
You should have done a little homework before you went on camera. Those tractors near the Field Marshal are not Marshals, nor Lanz. Different companies made tractors with the Lanz style engine, mainly because they were easy to build.
They are French built SFV Veirzon tractors. Very similar to the Lanz tractors single cylinder hot bulbs. Never mind the know it alls commenting great video 🙂 @@morganoflahertymachineryofirel

I think 2 got sold, and the rest just stood there for 30 years. I remember about ten years ago, classic tractors magazine had an article about them
Whatever happened to those john deers, there was one here in kerry for a while. The owner traded it against a Massey Ferguson 1200 apparently

SFV societe Francaise Vierzon. That’s the green ones with yellow wheels. Taken over by case in the late 50’s I think.
