Watching your videos makes me feel more comfortable buying books that aren’t perfect. I really like those older covers no matter what condition. Thanks for taking the time. Appreciate it always!
80k is a fair deal for both of you. VERY GARY would've closed this deal for 8k and walked out leaving the seller thinking he sold at a great price. That is a collection 99% of comic book collectors (including myself) wish they had. I know you have to sell them because it's your job, but......there are so many keepers there.
Ya I try to be as fair as possible. I tell people the truth. Like roughly how much I will make of this and how long it will take me to move. I think just being honest and up front is the best method. Plus letting them know the truth of how much their collection is worth. I think it’s bad business to take advantage of someone then they found out months or years later. Because word of mouth is the best form of advertising. If both people are happy then that’s the best type of deal
Ive got about 26000 comics in my collection with some good keys. I am trying to detach myself from a lot of them to sell on so i put the money into buying & selling part time.
I recognize many of those keys in a video from "Alex The Comic-Hoarder." He took good care of them. Give them a good home. Great video for an equally great acquisition...
Absolutely magnificent!!! Great acquisition. Seeing stuff like this really makes me regret selling my second comic collection. I am working on my third one now. My first collection I destroyed after my sister put a glass of soda on a Nick Fury agent of Shield #1putting a water ring right through the cover I just got when I was 7. My mom told me it was my fault so I snapped and tore up my comic collection! I think at the time it was 2 short boxes and nothing really valuable. Ah the mind of a child!
Wow, this is an amazing collection! I love the spidey run. Do you ever have a hard time putting the books up for sale? All the books I buy (I’m on a much different level than you 😆) I just want to keep them all for my collection. Grails and keys like those I’m not sure I could part with them.
at first, but i've been doing this for so long I see the same books come and go all the time, so ya its not that big of deal. It sucks when one of a kinds go though :(
Came over from a link by NE Ohio Sports Cards and I've liked & subbed. Looking forward to watching more of your videos in the future. Thank you for sharing.
I do like your stream of consciousness style as you put up gem after gem. The lighting is good. Those ASM, Avengers and FF books, nice! As a fanboy of the Silver age, you got a buncha nice books. Best!

Great job on the reflection! Also, INSANE pick up. I would love to be able to broker a deal like that. The first comic I got was ASM 89. I traded some baseball cards for it in middle school. It's not a great copy, but I still have it.
I traded some baseball cards for ASM 3 in 1987. It’s a rag but the kid just wanted to get rid of it. I thought he was crazy, cause the cards weren’t with a dime. I still have it
Damn I need your job. It’s not really a job, it’s a passion. But I’d end up keeping them all… But the FF story you told. I have heard conflicting stories. From Stan Lee. I heard him say the the FF came because Martin Goodman was playing golf with the DC head guy and he was bragging about how well the justice league was selling so Martin told Stan to do a superhero team book. Spiderman was the book he wrote the way he wanted before he was going to quit. That’s why it was the last issue of amazing fantasy. They were getting rid of the title anyway. Anyway, I think Stan told them both different every time 😂
I love my job. But it’s still a job. I gotta be dealing with a lot of things all day. Some days very stressful. But ya I think with stories. Sometimes you tell a story so much that you start thinking that’s the real story but then you kinda forget which is the truth or which is the redone version lol
Awesome pickup! Hearing you paying to 2 day the books makes me feel better about FastTracking stuff at CGC. I know I don't have to do it but sometimes the wait is unbearable.
best way is put all the comics in a short box, then if there is extra room in the short box to pad that with packing material. Then you and take an extra short box lid, and put it on the bottom of the box. So there is a lid at the top and bottom. tape that all up. Id then put that inside a shipping box with bubble wrap or packing peanuts and you're good
