No one knows. ;-)
      Some people even think he might troll and correct some people in comment sections on absurd claims and often makes fun of Yam's Daytona, also of some few misinformed claims in the channel's videos and making fun of the Tuono featured on the channel just to trigger some b@tthurt people to make a video rant about it, but who knows for sure ;-)
      The guy must really be a superfan who watches Yammie Noob regularly :-)

    My most hated bike currently is anything from Zero.
    Not because I think the bikes are bad but because they are doing this BS pay to play crap with stuff that's already on the bike.
    There is no way they can tell me that I didn't already pay for that tech and then I have to pay more to unlock it.
    It's not like they don't have to pay for the parts on the bike until I decide to turn it on. That shit is 100% already factored into the base price.

  • @MaaZeus

    Glad to see Harley modernising their engines under the Indian Scout and Rebel 1100 threat. I will always have a soft spot for the low revving but torque heavy long stroke engines and the sound they make but I get it, it is not the way of the future and horse power numbers do matter for a lot of people.

    • @altortugas5979
      @altortugas5979 2 роки тому +3

      Yeah, but the 975 Nightster produces the same torque as the Iron 1200 did. That’s the whole point of complaining about HD still using air-cooled engines. The engine is smaller, just as powerful, and the bike is significantly lighter, too.

    • @MaaZeus
      @MaaZeus 2 роки тому

      @@altortugas5979 Yes but does it start torquing from low or do you need to rev it up? That is usually the difference between long stroke vs short stroke engine. Air vs water cooled also plays part, of course. Both designs have their pros and cons.

    • @altortugas5979
      @altortugas5979 2 роки тому +1

      I mean, RPMs are relative. If you have two engines with the same torque, but one engine has peak torque at 3500 rpm with a red line at 6000 and another that peaks at 5 and redlines at 10, you’ll still stall it if you dump the clutch, but you’ll get into the power sooner on the second one.
      Personal experience, I own a Rebel 1100, it ain’t like you have to bounce it off the rev limiter to get the power going.

    Admittedly, the Nightster is a sweet looking bike, but $13.5K for a stripped down lower tier bike, it's overpriced. For $2K less, make mine a Scout Rogue.

    • @tinman3586
      @tinman3586 2 роки тому

      The Scout Rogue another overpriced bike. The one they featured in their recent ad goes for about 13.5k and you don't get an LED headlight, no rider modes, no cruise control, and a crappy dash that doesn't even give you a fuel guage. And for all you boomers, please spare me the "I don't fancy electronics on muh bike". Not like a fuel guage is some cutting edge technology.

    For the first time ever, I agree with everything you guys said about the Harley. It took you an unexplainable 2 weeks to do it, but hey, here we are. Remember guys, the new Harley rebel 975 will be $15,000 by the time it reaches the dealership floor, if you want a painted “air box”. In Germany the Sportster S costs 16000 € , the Nightster costs 15000 €.
    While the Sportster S has true modern dreambike potential in my perception - much power, radical and modern styling, all the sexy electronic bells and whistles (except a quickshifter), you pay just a 1000 less for the Nightster, and you get the less powerfull engine, not adjustable suspension, no six axis, no tft.
    I think it rides well and modern and really sporty, but it's hard to fall in love with it instantly.
    The Honda CB1000R Black Edition costs 14500 € like the Triumph Bobber, the R nineT Pure costs 13600 € and the Rebel costs just 10800 € (and 11800 for the DCT version).
    Hard & sexy competion in Germany for the Nightster 😮

I was very impressed with the new PA ADV bike, late, but a great alternative to the other entries. HD needs to get ahead of the curve in new bikes and be more modern...there are only so many ppl who want to ride their grandpa's bike and all about old school nostalgia. I personally don't want a 2022 bike with 1960 tech or looks for way overpriced on what you get with truly modern bikes. A Retro Mod...some old school updated looks with modern underneath...that is the way to go...IMO. Good job guys,

This is actually the first Harley that made me even consider the possibility of buying an HD product. However, the price is too damn high for what it is. Is a Honda Rebel 500 owner. I see in the forks, turn signs and dash is very Harley copying Honda copying Harley. One thing that gets me with the Harley's. I looked at a gorgeous 22 street bob wit the 114. In the blue.I sat on it. (Couldn't ride it. It was February with snow) I was priced. $18,300 usd out the door with 5k trade in and $220 a month at 72 months. At a western NY dealer. Personally that price is insane. At 10k the Rebel 1100 has cruise control the street bob did not. Rebel also has the storage compartment under the seat. I will say the textile feel of the Harley was nicer than my Rebel. As much as I liked the street bob. But I can't justify the Harley premium.

      Was the Livewire behind the market? Was the Pan America behind the market? Yes the livewire was far overpriced for what it was, but it's a cutting edge innovative electric bike. The Pan America comes out and it's just as good as a GS for less cost. Now BMW is gearing up for a better GS, and we will see the competition drive innovation for both companies. Perhaps your bias against HD (for good reasons) is clouding your perception of where HD is. There's a Union building across the street from where I live. All hours of the day and night ego douches are pulling in and revving their loud compensation engines and then drag down the straighaway, since that's all they can do: drive in a straight line. On the flip side all night it sounds like the Indy 500 from across the city of sport racer douches using the outer belt as their race track. I'm glad I'm moving.

    You guys hit the nail on the head it's an overpriced rival to the rebel 1100. But it's also worth noting that this is about a 180 pounds lighter then the Indian scout and that's pretty noteworthy.
    I'm the kind of lunatic who would put the continental classic attack Sport touring tire and the factory size in the front, which is a radial tire, and try and pair it with another radial sport touring tire in the back. They wont match but hopefully tire companies step up soon.
    Given that the rebel 1100 with its weird tire sizes is basically locked in to having pirelli night dragons as the most aggressive tire available this acthis actually should give it a good run.

    It is a beginner bike for someone in their 30s or 40s and has 13k for a toy. Plus I am sure power is in the revs so unless you are totally inept you wont loop it. $3500 to go from Honda Rebel to Harley isn't going to be a big deal for someone not in their 20s and/or is like $60 loan payment difference. I am sure the Rebel is a better value but that is true of their entire line.

    Fact: I love my Harley Softail M8. Also Fact: I am a dying breed. HD needs to step up big time. Indian is stepping up and taking sales from them. Harley has no answer to the Challenger, they have the engine, needs to go into a touring bike. The CVO is $8,000 to $10,000 more but in many ways falls short. Harley does look better and has better fit and finish, but not 10 grand worth better.

      It’s definitely dealer dependent. My HD dealer used to not even show prices online (prices were on the bikes in person) but before I said yes to the bike they showed me my trade in and total before I did an application. Now they’re under new management and the price of each bike is on their site and to me that makes them much more honest. Maybe check around and see if another dealer will work with you if you still wanna go HD after that.

    YT comments : i laughed for 20 minutes, especially at the sarcastic and hommage comment at 1:13:00 (1 hours 13 minutes), is the guy even serious or is he making fun of some of Yammie's crew favourite bikes shown on the channel as an hommage to the hard work put into these videos by the Yam crew ? No one knows. ;-)
    Some people even think he might troll and correct some people in comment sections on absurd claims and often makes fun of Yam's Daytona, also of some few misinformed claims in the channel's videos and making fun of the Tuono featured on the channel just to trigger some b@tthurt people to make a video rant about it, but who knows for sure ;-)
