Yeah! I'm on Acellus right now, (An online learning program), I was struggling for weeks on this. Found this video, and I was rocking and rolling in about 10 minutes. Thank you very much!
All I can say is Wow! I failed math & now I get it after your teaching. Kind of late for me now since I’m in my 60’s, lol, but now I can help my granddaughter a little bit. Thx&see ya😃
Tiffany...You really make learning fun because You take the necessary time to clearly explain all at a great pace so My Grand Children don't feel rushe. For that I say thanks
All the comments on this video are so wholesome I love it 🤗 (and also, thanks for the help! I really needed it or else I wouldn’t be able to figure out how to do the homework I was assigned.....I hope you have a absolutely wonderful day!)
Love the KCF idea! I taught for years. We had the old “invert & multiply” rule for dividing fractions, but kids would get confused about which fraction to invert. Your way really helps! Do you ever teach cross-cancelling before multiplying the numerators & denominators too? I always called that simplifying early. It leaves you with much smaller numbers in your answer to deal with. Thank you for your excellent lessons!
That’s the method I was taught 🤓. Crazy enough there’s hardly any application for using these math operations , maybe measuring in carpentry or maching/ design fabrication 🤔.
Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. All my life I have struggled with math. I have been reading about the early days of space flight and the role that mathematics played. Hey Miss, I have a pretty good knowledge in math from High School, thank God. But, just as that Chris guy wrote way earlier, math is so important cuz it’s in everything. Now I had/ and have a great job waiting for me that payed pretty excellent when I got hurt. Nothing now cuz of inflation bein so absolutely horrific. But at the time, I was makin mad cash on the job. Basically I’m tellin ya that I like instantly subscribed to your videos channel. And I think the way you go over math is real great. So thanks a bunch Miss or Mrs. Really appreciate your channel creation!!!
I've found 4 videos very helpful and looking for to watching other videos of your. You explain the problems so easily. You Remind me of my high school teacher MR. CUMBIE. THANKS FOR THE TUTORING. VERY HELPFUL
You're delightful. You possess the gift of making a subject that many people are (unnecessarily) leary of simple to understand and even enjoy. Best wishes.
Fantastic! I who has done math plus engineering maths need to admit that I could hardly recall when I ever did such kind of questions that are the basis of maths. However, I need to say that I enjoy maths at this very young age of 75 years. It is never too late to revise the past but also to learn that in new to individuals.
I'm trying to help my child with his homework. UA-cam should be the new wave on teaching students. Like just give the kids head phone and a tablet at school. It was painless and I'm not falling asleep. Good job.
I’m in seventh grade and I want to say how much I appreciate you going step by step and how you use your precious time to teach us how to do this. You explain way better then all my other teachers 👩🏫 😄😇😁👍😎💕
U need to remember this because it’s simpler than they will teach u and ur act tests do not care about ur work only ur right answer. Te achers May not see the humor of the work u use. When I was young I got caught in the modern math movement and it totally messed me up, my dad taught me to divide fractions and it wasn’t their way so I missed right answers. Does not help a struggling student just because ur work doesn’t match this teach’s. In time the way u understand for correct answers will not matter

Once you make the two improper fractions, isn't it easier to reduce the numerators and denominators (if possible) before you multiply?

Great video! Thanks! How do you find the number to divide by when simplifying? For example it would have taken me a king time to figure 7 on that last problem.
The divisibiltyrule for number 7 is a bit tricky. First, take the last digit off the number, double it and subtract the doubled number from the remaining number. If the result is evenly divisible by 7 (e.g. 14, 7, 0, -7, etc.), then the number is divisible by seven. (This may need to be repeated several times.)

How do you figure out you can simplify exaple#6 by 5
This is a great video thank you. However, there is a written error at 11:28 in example 6. The first line of working in red shows the calculation as a multiplication when it should still be division as you haven’t yet “flipped” the second fraction. :-)

What is the use of flip. Just cross multiplay
How do you find the number to simplify 770/945 by 5 then how did you find the 7 for 154/189?
If the last digit of a number is 5 or 0, then that number is divisible by 5. So we can say that 770/945 can be simplified by 5.
