Its all good man I'm 36 and still trying to learn all the different maths there are...I need to learn in order to get the job I want because I need to pass a test and neex to score a 50 or higher in order to get the job and mathematics and arithmetic reasoning are 2 big parts of the test and what is holding me back...but the video helped me a lot...good luck with ur GED..
there is a easy method that i like to use for dividing fractions its "KFC" 1) Keep the 1st fraction 2)Flip the 2nd fraction 3)Change the division sign into the multiplication sign give me a like if it is helpful

We REALLY need more teachers like you... Im a 33 year old RN... by no means am I stupid. I use a calculator for math LOL. I have ADHD (unmedicated childhood) and Im an art and science girl. Math was ALWAYS hard for me and I hated it... I am finishing my BSN. I have to take Statistics (currently starting). I have always hated fractions and factoring and all this crap. I couldnt tell you how to do it. If I cant punch it in a calculator, I cant and dont even ask me to long divide! It took me years to do that for 4-5 grade. I had great math teachers my junior and senior year, but the damage was already done and I did my best and still got below avg. I am shocked that since reviewing the basics in this class that ALL THESE YRS LATER I am finally getting it... so what was wrong with my teachers or the system back then?! I am so confused how I am perfectly capable of these operations and never have been my entire life... THANK YOU for helping me realize a middle aged dog can learn new tricks after all. I am still wondering if I had had a passionate teacher like you, if I would have been this bad at math and believed my whole life that I was stupid in this area... I am not anymore. Im no genius, but thanks to you, I am getting it!!!

My illness causes my daughter to fall into deep depression throughout the years and even though I struggle with her to stay focus, her adhd and depression causes her to resent school. She was doing virtual school during the pandemic and I was hospitalized a lot with covd and lupus flare, now she dropped out of school and doesn’t even care to finish. I’m struggling with her to get her GED, but it’s an everyday struggle. My memory is sometimes good and at times really bad throughout the years, but I’m still fighting.

Over 20 years ago I was a Math pro in class,and first one to finish all my math tests. Today I've been able to help my four kids with their math,but math is way harder these days though!!
this might be an odd comment for this thread, but it reminded me that math (all math) is universal not for our solar system only. this is not a new idea by any means as it was one of the main points in the movie "Contact" which was adapted into a movie based on Carl Sagan's book of the same name. on a side note i was really surprised when my friend told me he didnt know how to calculate fractions. he had never learned in school. so what i did was draw out a ruler on a large piece of paper and scaled one inch up so that it would be easy to see and understand. it only took about an hour before he was just as proficient as anyone else. desire to learn was his major motivation as he was just starting to apprentice as a carpenter and as everyone know, fractions are used on an everyday basis. there is a easy method that i like to use for dividing fractions
its "KFC"
1) Keep the 1st fraction
2)Flip the 2nd fraction
3)Change the division sign into the multiplication sign
