I am so so so happy to see this shop on your channel. I stumbled on this shop on the way to a hockey game in Birmingham. The absolute best yarns and color ways. Such a sweet family too. The kind of place I will happily spend my $$$ knowing it’s supporting the hard work of such an amazing woman and family.
"It couldn't get more local than this," is a statement that keeps ringing through my mind after watching this video. I've been exploring US grown and spun yarn lately as my definition of local, particularly because I'm searching for a good non nylon sock yarn. Locally dyed is an important step in the yarn making process but it's just one step. I'd love to see more hand dyers seek out at least one US grown base. In the meantime, it's fun and challenging to reflect on and define local as I once did with food....perhaps a future topic to be explored on this channel!😊 Paper Cranes did highlight Imperial Yarn which is super local, to me anyway. Great tour! Thank you both!!
Gorgeous gorgeous yarns! I really like the setup of the store and have enjoyed shopping online and in person. Beautiful woman and excellent customer service. 🥰
What an ambitious young entrepreneur! Very brave to start your own business so young. All good wishes to her as she has a lovely shop. Thanks for taking us along to visit x
I was in your store about 6 months ago when you were in the smaller space. I so commend you all you have done- the renovation, the new yarns, new products, new bags. It looks great. So proud for you. Loved the interview. Can’t wait to visit your shop again. Your husband is a gem
I am so far away, so I probably will never be able to visit but it is so inspiring to see you featuring small businesses and shining a light on amazing women who run these shops! One day maybe I will be able to start a small yarn Business myself… Go Natalie&Kent(&Toaster)!!
OMG love this shop, I wish someone would open one in my town here in Hamburg, PA. I moved here because there was a huge Yarn shop, but they closed for retirement. They even asked me to take it over, it ran very well, but I couldn't get a loan, since we bought a house, bummer....Thank you for that tour!
Seattle Yarn also has a Pac-Man machine! It seems to be a big hit with kids of parents who are coming to knit or buy yarn. You're probably going to Bainbridge Island when you get to the Seattle area, Natalie, but maybe you'd like to pop by Seattle Yarn on your way? They're BIPOC owned!
Such a beautiful place, love these wall arts! It's kinda sad that Ashley feels her creativity so restricted by having the kid with her, fingers crossed soon to have a place at kindergarten for it! 🤞🤗

Just ordered the 1818 hand cream! Can’t wait to get it!

Oh wow, I am from Germany and own some Kremke, a vegan yarn they make! Knitting world is small after all.
How cool!!
