what are some hobbies you want to start this year? ❤
i want to get into videography and back into journaling!! my lifestyle is changing SO much this year and i want to be able to document that!
crochet
I wanna try learning a new language ☺
omg bead jewelry making! 🎀
I want to learn how to crochet and also how to sew
i have way too many hobbies i want to start or continue doing (crocheting, drawing, reading, jewelry making, journaling, etc.) but i haven’t had the time recently or whenever i do have the time i end up wasting time on my phone :( but my goal this summer is so pick up all these hobbies again 💗
i can totally relate!! i hope you get the chance to reconnect with ur hobbies this summer
deleting some of the social media, even if only for a short time, could help you with that. They made these apps so addictive, but in the end, there is only little value scrolling nonstop. This little trick did help me too :D
I've recently downloaded Habitica (again) to help with this. I can earn rewards for cooking, crocheting, writing, etc, but I can lose all of my progress towards them by going on social media. I'm having a really good time with it so far!
I think turning your hobbies into a habit or part of your routine helps. You can journal in bed every night or decide that Saturday mornings are the days you journal about your week or whatever you want to journal about.
For reading I personally have small goals like never going more than three days without reading. Even if I only read four pages it still counts. It takes the pressure off me, and without realising it, it became a habit of mine that I didn't have to think about to follow.
As for drawing, I struggle to find time for it too, but I did get gifted a nice sketchbook last Christmas which I've been drawing in. They aren't elaborate drawings, or fill the whole page, and sometimes I don't even finish them, but whenever I have time, feel inspired, or simply am bored I draw sketches of insects, plants and flowers in it. It's what I mainly like drawing so that's all I ever do in that sketchbook.
Simplicity and taking the pressure off yourself to do these things consistently will help you go back naturally to the things you want to do. Trying out loads of things is great, wanting to do all these hobbies is great but you don't have to. There's nothing wrong with not doing them all the time.
I love writing and I've been so busy this year that unless it was an assignment I haven't written anything in around 8 months. I wish I could do it more but at the same time it's okay. There's no rush, I can always go back to it and I'm still a writer even though I haven't written in ages.
Tottaly agree on it and we people shouldn't ever put too many pressure or too many things in our life cause at some point were just end up like, not be able to do all this things that we wanted to do or we fell like we have to do and because we don't have sufficient time in life for everything we end up feeling frustrated for not be able to do all this things at once,so don't be to strict to yourself and don't put too much pressure on yourself and your life cause we are humans we are not perfect it's totally okay to just have a few days to relax sometimes because were not feeling like doing anything or whatsoeve. So instead try to first focus only one hobby or one thing at the time, for example during 2 weeks you crochet were in the other 2 following weeks you do only drawing for example just stick to one at the time or instead try to chose a few 3 or 4 different types of hobbies for example and make it as a daylly habbit routine, practice.
i love seeing how your videography has changed over the years. ive always loved your color grading!! i hope to learn more about videography this year 😊
thank you that means a lot to me!! 🥹
Concerning doing your nails, please always wear a mask to prevent inhaling all the toxins. I've heard from manicurists that after years of doing people's nails, some people now have lung cancer while they never once smoked
Love that more people are starting hobbies outside of their phone! On my channel I have been covering some science and engineering hobbies that I've been loving and hope others explore!
my absolute fav hobbies are journaling and reading. these are my strongest and most long lasting hobbies which i find very dear to me as a big big introvert! i would love to get into cooking more (i'm gaining courage on doing the said cooking!) and photography/videography
Literally my comfort UA-camr🤍
🥹 love you! ty for watching
i adore your videos sm, they're so comforting 🥨🎀
thank you! i’m so glad they can bring you comfort 🥹💕
i love this!! i'm also a certified hobby girl haha. i love that you mentioned the motivation behind hobbies, that was a good reminder!
I've been watching your videos since the start, and I really enjoyed them. I used to hate studying, but your productivity videos/vlogs really inspired me to work hard in my studies. You've grown so much, happy for you, well done 💖
Wow girl i literally started polymer clay and photography last year and am soo happy with them this year i am planning to do crochet and more journaling
Thankkkk youu for the video ❤❤❤
Im currently in a really lost state and im not sure what i want to do with my life, and so I literally just typed in hobbies 2024, and I did not expect to see a video with so much genuine passion and heartfelt emotion, while being so to the point and informational. I appreciate you, and this video, the ending made me cry. Thank you. I will probably look into videography or photography :)
Loved this video!!! Made me realise that I, too, have a lot of hobbies that I havent' even think were hobbies.
aa i enjoy making little clay trinket dishes for friends, baking, cooking, gym, and i want to try scrapbooking my vacation adventures since i collected small mementoes along the way :> Trying to get into basic nail things through glue on but finishing up uni so time hasnt been on my side lately
Thank you for sharing!!! And yes, I was reading boring books and finally booktok got me back into reading
I always come back to your videos, thanks!!
I was also invested in the polymer clay creation era haha its so nice to see it in a video again
awesome video. I work two jobs and it wasn't until I started the 2nd one that I realized working can't be life. I had a whole bunch of things I used to do that I felt guilty doing because i was school and now I see those things are important because they bring me joy. I have decided to quit my second job and just keep life simple. go back to my reading, language learning, and writing. it's just crazy that i've been saying this for weeks and today I log on and your video is the 1sst thing I see.
I felt this on another level. I feel like i have way too many and that drains me and it is a problem because it is physically imposible to keep them all. I was into coding/tech, reading, journaling, learning a language and video games and i also ended up buying a guitar and a graphic tablet which ended up being unused and this summer i plan to sell my guitar and graphic tablet ( i need an ipad anyway) because i feel like others are more important. I do love music but i realised i d prefer singing or a piano more than a guitar (sounds better imo, it s easier and fingers would not hurt)
