every john-fan should check out Joy Division. I went the way like most of you did with being obsessed with the Peppers, than John and let me tell you. Joy Division beats the Peppers anyday. They touch you in a way John does. If you liked Johns early work you are in for a great surprise at that band ;)
He covering Joy Division is a bit like Radiohead covering Portishead just with greater amounts of energy. It is like the two greatest artistic acts by anything EVER coming together. There you can see, oh, john frusciante had his incredible knowledge about music from somewhere and got than further in that... when you think new dawn fades is a sad and beautiful energy at the same time... than check out Untitled 12 by this man and you see what even exaggerates that aspect to the fullest degree

i don't think it's pathetic. it's an original interpretation. of course the JD song has an incredible feeling but that's not that bad.
@added23 sorry for hanging out a bit too much that bullshit-i-listen-to-way-cooler-music-you-guys-do ;) my fan-me had me there for a while. but anyways, it is obvious that there is aesthetic in music. you can call it beauty. and everybody as artist has their own kind of nature where he is coming from and in this nature some go as far as john frusciante and some others lets pick on justin bieber they are not trying a whole lot in music. they are presenting a fake image. id call them less good.

Not bad although /watch?v=O3OPzOx3kkg is way better, nearly perfect even, better vocals more consitant playing, overall a better performance then this song, i think he was really tired here.
