- A scene from the 1995 crime drama film "Heat" by Michael Mann. This scene leads up to the famous coffee scene where Al Pacino and Robert De Niro finally share a screentime in a scene together.
Music originally composed by Joy Division in 1979, later remixed by Moby for this film in 1994.

Moby sucks........................................
ok.
One of the opinions of all time.
Bro got the pin of shame 💀
I don't think I've ever heard that opinion.
The score is an epic film with an epic score to match!
This scene has its own fanbase
That is so correct😂
And the succeeding scene too
On everything it does
Remember seeing it in the theater in 95.....we were all blown away.
this on IMAX would be amazing, especially the shootout
@@Panzer_Runner It wasn't IMAX but it was a BIG f'in screen.
You jammy git.
I was too young to appreciate this film when it came out. I only liked the shootout scene. At 13, I thought it was cool, but the movie was boring...
Now... it's one of the top 5 movies I've ever seen. Unbelievable.
Check out the novel Heat 2. Fantastic.
Wish I had been there too
One of the few times I have actually genuinely wanted to applaud every single person involved in the creation of a scene.
This whole sequence just reeks of testosterone.
This entire movie is a love letter to the fading manhood of the late 80's and 90's. The sleek suits, fast talking, fantastic music, and underneath it all there's is barely restrained violence, like at any moment this dude who's wearing clothes that cost your whole mortgage is gonna tear your fucking head off.
Like what the guy said in the other video
"The Blade Runner of crime films" underrated and underappreciated back then but a cult classic now.
I seem to remember it being a blockbuster smash in the us and uk back in 95/96 so I'd say it wasn't underappreciated by audiences but it definitely was by critics and the Academy Awards that failed to even nominate it in any catagory
Just watched this movie for the first time.
Absolutely blown away. I’m still sitting here in shock of how incredible it was
Amazing movie isnt it? defenetly one of the best ever made.
The 5th time is better.
Didn't get much hype when it came out so glad people are finding it.
Same here! Worth the wait!
Same here today. Bloody brilliant
The fact that this scene is only just the precursor to the iconic diner conversation scene is incredible. Heat is such a masterpiece.
Dudes see this whole scene and be like “hell yeah”
hell yeah
Hell yeah 🎉
Hell yeah brother
Hell yeah 😉👍
hell yeah
nobody can do atmosphere like Michael Mann. films like Heat and Manhunter are just masterpieces of tension, vibe and character. a true visionary.
Michael Mann is the man. So glad that he remade L.A Takedown, if not, this masterpiece wouldn't even be a thing. Heat is the definitive crime-drama film.
I agree. If I ranked Mann's films: Manhunter, Thief, The Insider, Heat -- and they are all masterclass, like choosing favorite child; I think The Insider is one of biggest achievements in cinema in 1990s
Michael Mann has long been my fav film director; 2nd place is not even close
Collateral was great too.
Exactly that. He captures the beautiful and ugly nature of LA like nobody else. Repeated it in Colleteral.
manhunter my fav movie
Has to be one of the coolest scenes of all time no doubt about that!
that cut at 1:05 is just superb
smooth AF..after all these years i am still amazed
I love that I don't even need to click on the timestamp to know exactly what cut you mean. it is truly excellent.
Absolutely, I really can't get over that cut. Masterclass in editing.
Yes, I was looking for this comment
He tried to do something similar in my opinion with the Miami Vice movie and the ferrari on the overpass; but it comes nowhere close to this one. The song/music is perfect as was the acting. Everything from the overhead copters, etc. It might've been a homage or something, but still pretty cool: ua-cam.com/video/7xqIzyiMWCA/v-deo.html
omg!! I saw this in 1995 when I was 12, this seen was and will always be MY FAVORITE, The dialogue, the chase scene and ESPECIALLY THE MUSIC, I'm 40 now and I STILL get goosebumps to this scene!! anyone else?
Yep saw it in the theatre with my old man when I was 13. Its absolutely epic. Cinematography, music, all of it.
When i read your comment i thought "Movie came out in 1995, you cant be 40!"
and then... yeah
im 22 btw
I remember staying up late to watch this on tv when I was 15 in 1999 . I was so pumped for this scene haha
Neil had really met his match.. The scene proved how relentless Vincent hanna was. Completely committed to his job. Probably worked 7 days a week..
H24
Driving like a madman with a straight face. Both are forces of nature
Best scene ever, its surreal truly.
I agree
The cut where it follows the car from the off ramp onto the highway is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen
@@austin8820 what a smooth and stylish cut
@@Panzer_Runner it’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen
THATS WHY I LOVE LIVING IN LA
1:05-1:06-the fkin transition was enough to make this movie a masterpiece
probably the manliest scene in history of cinema
So what about the Sylvester Stallone films?
Nah.... The maniliest scene is the following scene where they have a man to man conversation over coffee at the diner
I don’t know that there has EVER been a more visually and audibly arresting film than Heat
.. good gracious, the genius of Mann and his crew concerning EVERY LAST FACET of this masterpiece simply knew no bounds ..
Its a masterpiece for sure!
Could just imagine Ayrton Senna picking up every single car on his way to heaven! Such a incredible film and Director!
When I first watched this movie, i was already amazed for the first 40 mins etc. When this scene popped up and the music started I knew right than and there that I was witnessing greatness 👏🏻 🙌🏼
Holy shit thank you for the High Quality version!
glad I can help
@@Panzer_Runner only one on youtube that watchable.. thanks.
Al Pacino is the man! Just don’t waste his time lol.
Glad i found this one with amazing quality, ty for the upload
Oh hey thanks
Amazing music for motorcycle rides, will stick in my head forever
Not sure if there’s ever been a more perfect match between background song and scene
Only Michael Mann and Moby could make a man asking another man to have a cup of coffee with him one of the tensest, grittiest scenes in one of the tensest, grittiest movies ever.
best cop chasing criminal scene I've ever scene
1:00 the rise moment in the way
0:31-Let’s go
The script: the cop flies in a helicopter and then gets in a car to drive on the highway.
Michael Mann: I'm gonna make this the epitome of manhood in the 90's.
8 months later and Im back... shit never gets old
Fuck yeah
Imagine driving your car without knowing De Niro & Pacino were filming there.😅
I listen to that song at night on the highway. Feels unreal, especially where I live, with the city lights on both sides of the lake....
Vibe
I have been hunting this piece of music down for the last hr!!! Thank you so much!!!
Pacino: How you doin?! What do you say I buy you a cup of coffee?
DiNero: Sorry, I have a Boyfriend! 😅😂
This scene is everything "badass cops" is, I love it
Me: can we please have movies like this today.
Hollywood: no. 🏳️🌈
This scene always makes me think of the sheer amount of resources poured into cases like this. Probably a few dozen officers and desk jockeys and other support staff plus vehicles and helicopters and they’re not even sure if Neil is the one responsible for the armored car heist
i would KILL to watch this in a theatre man😭
Pacino in a helicopter is always cinematic gold.
THE GREATEST SCENE WHEN IT COMES TO A COP PULLING YOU OVER 💯
Typical Michael Mann Scene.Atmosphere on Steroids
Robert de nero looks so cool and badass in this film
I watched this in Crawley cinema on the night of the Rettendon Murders with my best mate at the time.
Haven't seen him since.
The best scene in américain's movies
1:06 Id love to know how they filmed the car moving this way?
Well I must say, this scene is superb. I really wonder what kind of car Al Pacino driving? Micheal Mann is the man!
Infiniti J30
@@Panzer_Runner the other car seen in the movie is a '92 crown vic... I want that car so badly
One of the great scenes in one of the greatest movies ever made
Always chills
The greatest scene of all time. & like everyone else, thanks for the high quality upload lol
I wish I watched this in cinema, it would have been unforgettable.
@Ezell Broome I was 2 when this came out so no chance for me lol
It really was! I think I watched it more than once at the theatre.
Didn’t even know it was Moby
The powerful track with amazing picture. Mann is a genius
Highest composition, like from Kazakhstan.
masterpiece by moby. absolute banger
New Order cover
@@richlee509 Joy Division cover.
@@FactionImaging It's his now.
Wont see another movie like this! Two greats together
Best scene in the film apart from the shootout
This movie reminds me of GTA in the movies.
Moby great👍.
And THAT is how you ask Robert De Niro for a date.
I almost didn’t notice Pacinos platform shoes when he leaves the helicopter
goosebumps 🥶
Incredible movie!!
Music says it all
Hard to belive this films nearly 30 years old ❤
Now I want an Infiniti J30
Same tbh
In that case I want the car McCauley drives.
I want his '92 crown vic
Great music theme!
There’s something beautiful in being High as a kite on coke zooming in and out of traffic just to have a meaningful conversation with your number 1 opp
Great Scene!
But The FWY They Were On Was The 105 FWY West Near The 405 FWY Junction!
Not The 105 FWY East To The 110 FWY ( Harbour FWY ).
I’ve Driven The FWY’s In My Native Los Angeles County For Years!
😂.
Nice catch, I don't live in LA so I never realized that
After all these years, this movie is still awesome to watch.
Remember boys and girls, this is cinema!
The heartsinking feeling Neil must have felt when those lights lit up behind him. Id love to have felt that. What a movie, what a track 🤯
its crazy bad ass good film in ever times ..... my favorite one ...... tnx to this film, Michael Mann
"A loaded gun won't set you free,"
Fuck ya I love this scene
And that's Michael Mann fellas
The best movie i've ever seen. When Pacino and De Niro are gone, this movie will be more recognized 😎
That feeling when you finally decouple 🔥 ❄
Wow a Joy Division song in one of my fav movies awesome scene
“ ok Have one of em pick me up at the VAUHMAUNT on-ramp “
deadass
Al Pacino should’ve been driving a 300zx. At least then Nissan would’ve still gotten their product placement and the car would’ve matched the scenes energy
The best movie ever ❤
müthiş aq
Orgazm
Epic!
I have this song on Spotify liked playlist and it came on when I was on the motorway, this song is dangerous it makes you WANT to drive fast 😂
Michael Mann always delivers
they cut the bit where al pacino is driving around for 30 minutes to find somewhere to get the coffee
And I thought I was the only one who got chills watching this, it's one of the best scenes ever made in one of the best movies ever made 💟👌
I wonder what cars they are driving 🤔
Al Pacino - Infiniti J30
Robert de Niro - Cadillac Seville
2 years later and Im back again 😎🌠
Heat Dawn
Pure fucking style
Brilliant scene.
HOW YA DOIN
This scene is so fuckin epic!!!
The music is the best.
The best chase scene in the history 🤯
Miami Vice vibes
So true!
Michael Mann directed Miami Vice and Heat
Hanna gettin' dirty in the J30
does anybody knows which car is Al Pacino driving in this scene ?
Infiniti J30
The way the scene is constructed is superb. Al Pacino had an argument with his wife because he hasn’t been spending enough time with her and the family. He thinks that De Niro is responsible for it so he chases him(also because he thinks he and his team might get traced because of this). But then the 7 minute coffee shop scene turns the tables and has Pacino in awe of de Niro who doesn’t give a sniff of vulnerability or attachment issues. Wonderfully crafted film.
This scene is amazing! I love this movie!!! Just thinking what if when he asked how far he is, they are like you passed him 10 minutes ago
This movie is the shit !
