a lot of people medicate their brains because they can't stand reality. Its called drug addiction.

So, who gives a shit? Well, anyone who wants him to be alive for longer to make music, and anyone who cares for him to make quality music.
That struggle is exactly what creates the "quality" you speak of, young Padawan.
This is the most innocent song. I don't really know what defines innocent but I feel it describes this song.

An acoustic performance isn't meant to sound just like a record~he improvises&does what he wants when he performs. That's what makes it interesting. He's not high&he hasn't butchered anything~ he's fucking happy performing in front of friends in his hometown and it shows.

This is one of my favorite songs it's amazing, strait from his heart on this performance
I think shadows may have been quite autotuned. I've sung and played guitar throughout the whole album a bunch of times. it's one of my favorite albums ever. Where he is not hitting the notes here, or in any other live shadows songs elsewhere, are the particularly difficult parts that he pulls off spectacularly on the album. It's a little too perfect on the album. Although he's a magnificent singer, and not playing guitar whilst recording the vox on the album, at least it's definite that auto-tune was on 'slaughtered', so auto-tune was not off the cards on the album. It's an inspiring album that's the important thing. I think I'm being way too hard on myself if I'm a little off at parts whilst singing songs off this album. He's always way more off. But fuck; he wrote the damn songs, so I'll shut the f up. my apologies. 🙏✌✌

Its abut the sound, i agree, but without certain people there wouldn't be certain sounds.

The first thing I thought when I saw this was that he was high here. I know he's been clean since 98 but his demeanor here is very different from what it usually is. And the singing/playing seems very reminiscent of his drug days. Messed up chords, singing out of tune. Maybe I'm wrong, but it looks to me like he's under the influence of something here. Look at 0:44-0:52. Still a genius tho.

i'm am i die hard john frusciante fan, he's inspired me so much in every aspect, but its obvious he's high, don't kid yourself. i don't judge him for that, but i feel it hurts his performance.

In the time of 2001 John took a lot of Kava Kava, which makes you high. You can see him drinking tea on the TROWFTD tour which was from kava kava.
And you can say he is high just by looking at him :-D

great song,love that album,but a downer that hes high and gave in the temptation to interfere with his music and playn.........i still find it hard to believe that he is never the less @ a show and @this time of his life.....
but maybe he is just high on the music and atmosphere, but yeah you're right.... in a strange way he seems to be high on something ..
0362868: your entitled to your opinion, but some of the things you just said were demonstrably ignorant. Segovia practically created (or at lest codified) the modern art of classical guitar, and anyone who plays or sings jazz has to really know there shit. John creates some lovely songs, but he is basically a pop singer-songwriter, and he hasn't contributed to the art NEARLY as much as Segovia or Rembrant. No one says John HAS to, but its foolish to dismiss everyone who has done more than him.
