Thank you very much! My valve was leaking so I asked my gardener how much to replace it. $120! So then I tried Angi’s list and those people wanted $250 to replace a $18 value. So I watched your video and felt even if I messed it up, it was worth a try. Bought the valve at Home Depot. It took me about 15 minutes to do including rewatching the video. Works perfectly. Two points to share with other DIYers. 1. When tightening the new overflow cap, my hands are not that strong so it leaked. I got a jar opener from my kitchen and was able to get a good grip on it and tightened it really well so absolutely no leaking. 2. My valve was connected to the irrigation system so I wasn’t sure what to do with the wires and if they were hot. I used a voltage detector and there was not issue. I did not remove the wires from the old value until the new one was installed and then removed and reconnected one wire at a time. My watering system works perfectly. More information than most people need, but for those challenged folks like myself. Thanks again sir for the video!

Wow, I was going to just buy the parts but buying the new unit and replacing it with the new parts is a whole lot better and cheaper and easier. Thanks for the video it really helps.

Thank you so much this was an excellent video both of my solenoids broke off flush with the valve body so instead of replacing the whole thing I found this video and it saved me a couple $100

Thank you VERY much for this video. The part costs $30 and they want over $120 to replace it. I am going to try and do it myself first. Have a good day!

What did you do with the two wires at the top of the solenoid valve?

Don't be such a jerk when you're watching somebody that's actually putting out a service to people to save them a lot of money from what I understand from my brother-in-law who fixes sprinkler systems it's very common for even professionals to forget to replace that ring so go watch Something Else
