Kool Review. Thanks for sharing. GPS Function. When you are in bluetooth with your phone, Press and hold the bottom right button once. It will save location and show you a street map as well as longitude and Latitude on your phone. It's actually using the GPS from your phone to mark location, If I am not mistaken. I'm not sure if it would do it as a stand alone function marking GPS Locations. Best thing is you can rename locations when viewing them on your phone, like if you find a new G-shock store, or a nice place to eat that you really enjoyed, etc.
Good review overall. I own the matte black version and even as a Casio enthusiasts of sorts, I still find the price a bit hard to swallow especially when you look at what Citizen does at far lower prices or even Casio’s own Oceanus line. But at the same time, it really is shockingly comfortable and quite a beautiful piece, which are words I don’t think are normally applied to digital watches. It really is special and it takes an effort to rip that thing off my wrist to wear other more expensive watches. Anyway, the market has spoken and damn they are selling, so they know what they’re doing apparently.
Yeah, they look great. No doubt about that. I'm learning to appreciate all kinds of watches, not just mechanical, so a $4-500 digital watch is sounding less crazy all the time!
good review but wished you had reviewed the new blue camo instead... though many people say its "not worth" 1700 i believe it is... its Titanium.. its a limited run...and the craftsmanship that went into creating the camo look with the laser etching... these are Qualities not captured with your rubric score .. its these qualities i believe make it worth 1700... imho
I really like titanium watches that are done well. Interesting feedback on the finishing. I'll take another look to see if I should give more points for that. I just feel like I'm paying for the gshock brand here, and I never thought that would happen.
@@ChaoTime101 yes but look at their Mr G line... those are 3000 grand and up!!! or the Hana basara edition!! 8 thousand! whats your thought on the Mr G line? worth it? u should do a video on those..
@@tygaz3061 I'm not a fan of the MR-G. I think they're over priced and kind of ugly. But that's because I think of gshock as a rugged beater watch brand, not a fashion or lifestyle watch. I'd totally be willing to review one though! I've found that I like watches more when I try them. Now I just have to find someone to lend it to me!
While I appreciate the quality and the long time following that the G Shock has, it is just not appealing to me personally. I know others that think they are the best by far but just not for me.
I used to have mental block against quartz watch as well. But i would put a different between quartz quartz and solar quartz. I like the idea of solar quartz.
nice review and conclusion! You definitely should have more views!
Thanks! It's not for everybody, but I'm winning some people over!

Cool! Pretty cool function for when you're out hiking or something too. Set a marker for a cool spot or a waterfall or something.

Great honest review. Excited to see more digital watches get some love.
I've got my eye on something nice... Stay tuned!

What is it about them? I know I personally have a mental block against digital quartz. A watch has to really wow me if it is.

5:45, outside says made in Japan while the inside says made in China.
Lol. What isn't these days?
