I have one and would say the lume is incredibly awesome. The two negative for me are - the bulky and unrefined bezel design. It protrudes higher than the glass and the numbers printed on it are big and cheap looking. Because of this it is a good watch that could have been great. And eliminating the embossing on the underside would have reduced the height by 1mm.

I've owned the 116710LN for several years and agree with most of your comments except for the polished center links on the bracelet. I like the polished links a lot. Gives this watch a dressy vibe as well as the sporty tool look. And also agree with your comments about the Blue BLNR bezzle. I like the solid black better. I too have a 6.5 inch wrist and forty MM GMT is still doable. Own a couple of 42MM Speedmasters which work also. Liked your video.

New sub. Great review system. Delivery needs to flow better but that will come. Would be interested on why you had to move countries? I am waiting on delivery on a Zuan 1963 Pilots watch. Im not an automatic guy but for $110aud i couldn't say no. I'm looking for that size (or bigger) for my 7.25 inch wrist. I haven't got that vintage vibe watch in my collection and I've haven't ever seen something like this in quartz.

I wish the date window was framed, and that the bezel was rotatable. Makes the watch seem unfinished.

Hey , just saw the video, was wondering on the inner clasp (not sure if it’s called), the part where the word Rolex Geneva Swiss Made was written, the one on my grandpa watch was rough steel, heat-blasted (if I’m right) but in the video it’s polished steel

At 50 years old, I’ve learned so much about watches over the years, I have Sold my Rolly Sub and an O’ yachtmaster and replaced them with 3 Duros, on bracelets and G-10s’ . No regrets, just a battery change every 4/5 YEARS … yes Years. It’s a no brainer.

💗i already had two repaired of this specific model ... but older, not the v3 : - one with the swan neck adjustment kept, for the other i had to replace the full balance wheel, because there is not "screwed pivot" for the hairspring (see 6:32 for example ? can you replace the hairspring alone ?) ♻still buying such ST19 Sugess/Alpha/Seagull/Pierre Paulin/... but in "non-working" condition : i'm located in france 🇫🇷 🇪🇺

I have this exact watch from 1982 that my late brother bought in Spain while he was in the Marines. I loved it when he came home from overseas and when he passed several years ago it was the one thing of his that I wanted of his. For me it is priceless because it was his.

Very good video. I put a black and gray Ritche Fortitude Velcro strap on mine. It looks great and it’s a nice homage to the Velcro straps used by Astronauts.

Unless I’m mistaken, I don’t think it was an original design by Rolex. I think another watch brand made a similar watch first. Maybe someone can remember which watch that was?

I own three Tudor watches now. This Bronze 43mm from 2016, a 41mm red bezel steel Black Bay from 2018 and the newer FXD Titanium 42mm. Love all of them and wear all of them for different reasons, but the bronze gets most of the wrist time.

Hi Chao - Thanks for the informative video on the 16570! I'm about to pull the trigger on one myself. Question on the fonts. Do you find the earlier 16570 have thicker fonts than the 16570 that were produced later (post T<25)?

A great looking watch with the perfect dimension for my small wrist. But so many negative reports of the 6R35 movement in this watch in terms of accuracy. Too bad. I don't want a watch that's off by 15-30 or more seconds every day.

I love that you have a rubric! That really helps make it more objective. Great video and great watch! I do think that Seiko is getting more expensive than they used to, thus narrowing their value prospex (pun intended!). But every brand seems to be doing the same (Omega raising prices twice this year). The microbrands certainly can fill that gap because they need buyers to grow their brand recognition and can’t charge more. But I think most of us will still rather pay more for a Seiko purely because we know it’ll last forever. Side note, I’m glad Seiko keeps their lugs at 20mm because it makes replacement bracelets and strap options endless! Great video thank you!

Strange comment about the watch not coming with a bracelet to go swimming when it does indeed come with a rubber strap for that very purpose. Also, you can most certainly get a Panerai bracelet for it. As to the lume, It is the best I ever had on any watch I have owned, It goes on for ever.

I own this watch and bought it for 400 bucks. Ok, I'm opening myself up here to criticism, but I believe this watch will become a classic collectible in the same tradition of the Seiko skx. I adore this watch.

Was issued a Luminox but once I received the Marathon GSAR I didn't/don't wear anything else. Great watch and doesn't have to look "dazzling" as that is not what it was made for.
