Simon, I love your channel with all the camping, hiking, climbing, and of course, Rocko the Wonder Dog. However, one aspect of your program that goes unmentioned is what a marvelous photographer / videographer / editor you are. Take a bow my friend, you deserve it.
If Foresty ever needs to take some time off due to extended van repairs or something he could put together a compilation of some of his breathtaking drone shots with music and I'd happily watch every minute of it.
Listen Simon, I don't think anyone would mind if you started to have sponsors. It would more than pay for the van and store some away for your life. We would all still be here for you. Thank you for all the videos you put up. Stay safe
“Nobody wants to start off their summer…by DYING.” True. Be safe people. My favorite part of your videos are watching you cook, and seeing Rocko of course.
That is a fabulous wrap! In Nantucket, MA they make a sandwich like that and call it “Turkey Terrific” at a place as I remember called Provisions. Anyway killer meal you got there! Also another beautiful hike with beautiful scenery. Glad you saw the signs and stayed safe too. Hike on! Best to the ball of muscle and fur, the famous Rocko! She truly does have “the Modern Life”. I still have my son’s VHS tapes of that show and still funny to watch!
The biggest mystery is how you can come back from a hike like that and have the discipline to make a complex dinner...I'd be stuffing my face with snacks as soon as I got in the van. 🙂
You never have to apologize, I sure I speak for all of your viewers when I express thanks for every single upload. They're always well crafted and a delight to watch 😊😊😊😊😊😊
You are a lucky man. I'm almost 60 and you have seen more than I ever have in my life time. Note to all you young bucks out there don't settle down in one spot, this earth is a big place Explore it....
My oldest son is "traveling the world one baseball field at a time" ... and that is seriously true of him (he's in the Czech Rep. now). My younger son is doing the 9-5 grind with wife and child. So different -- and I know both happy if they meet their maker tomorrow (well, maybe my younger son not so, as he'd miss all that happens when raising a child) (but you get my drift, and I get yours.)
For those of us with short attention spans, we appreciate short videos. Yours are very high-quality and action-packed. Better that than some other van lifers out there who drone on and on for twenty five minutes and never say anything of significance.
Agreed on the content and the quality of your videos. You are living doing the things I liked to do b4 my body gave out so living some of my life through you, appreciate this. Not to give you a big head, your good but rocko is best, lol. Blessings
Foresty Forest, I could see that name on outdoor products akin to Northface etc. Don’t be afraid to capitalize on your success. I always liked since the early bike touring videos the fabrication and improving of gear etc ❤
Haha maybe one day. Ive considered accepting brand deals, because I'm already advertising them for free anyway. Its a weird balance... but I like keeping the videos solely about the adventures, I'm not a fan of how much advertising and sponsorships some channels will do. I think it can ruin your image if you go too far with it. Im making enough money to live comfortably in a van and have adventures, that's good enough for me!! Have a great weekend 😊
@debrandw246 Yes, I agree, that 10 out of 10 is probably more appropriate. But I have a somewhat delicate digestive system, and Foresty seems to love his spicy food. So the dishes that he cooks that look really spicy might not agree with me as much as they do with him.
Thanks for the entertaining video as always. Loved the culinary mixed metaphor: "the icing on the cake would be to dip it in gravy." Makes my mouth water.
How can you not love foresty forest he is entertaining he takes you out into the wilderness and it’s a cooking show at the same time and we have animals. It’s the best of all the world. ❤😅
This video hasn't even been up for an hour and there are 5,324 views. I can remember when this man first started and I was one of the first (I think) to follow him. Now I'm sure it's impossible for him to answer more than a fraction of our comments. Great for him - but :( for those of us who want a wave or a HI. :)
HI FORESTY AND ROCKO!! AGAIN A GREAT VIDEO WITH THE SNOW AND ROCKIES AND ROCKO SCROUNGING AROUND. SCENERIES ARE GORGEOUS. AGAIN YOUR INSPIRATION FOR A TURKEY DINNER WRAP IS LOOKING GOOD I WOULD ADD SQUÀSH AND TURNIP. THE GRAVY IS A MUST FOR ME. LOL A LARGE WRAP OR SANDWICH. FOR ME. WELL THANKS AGAIN AND STAY SAFE AND HEALTHY ❤️ 🙏
Thanks for checking in, good to see ya. Liked the different angles and shots included and really digging the art work on the inside of the van. Have a great weekend!
I love how Forest is always so obviously serious about safety while out hiking. "No one wants to start out their summer by dying." Thanks for the little check-in, dude! I'll keep an eye out for something down here in Washington.
Those river shots of you crossing over look pretty cool,, but all i could think of was you having to walk RIGHT back over to get the camera. And you knowingly did it, cheers for that man
LOVE the care you put into every adventure & I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree with the fact that you are a f a n t a s t i c story teller and videographer, however thats spelled lol - Thank you Simon & Rocko!
Always a great Friday night, watching you and Rocko climb anither summit. So much to enjoy, from our couch after a day of yard work. Thank you, to you and Rocko for brightening our evening, with things we can no longer do.
Fabulous update! Loved those POV shots from under the van. And Rocko being a good girl. And on the mountain slow steps in snow shoes. Grateful you share your journeys! I may have to try that turkey dinner wrap, too. Seems like it would be a good thing to make for a sunday afternoon lunch with the buddies.
Hey , Foresty forest that was a fun video. Another amazing climb. The view from the top of the mountains was awesome. Thanks for sharing. You and Rocco you guys always make my day. Be safe out there.🇺🇸♥️🫶🙏🐾🏔️🗻🚐🇨🇦
Love your vision, the beginning of your video was wonderful...were you being chased by ...Have fun and stay safe dear Foresty and precious Rocko. Thank you for all the hard work and the love 🙌🙏✨🤗🤩🎉🥳❣️
Supper looked delicious. As far as vans go. . . I'd say stick with what you know. Also, the bumper isn't the only thing transferrable to a different GM van. You also have the high output alternator, accelerator pedal, window covers etc.
The opening scenes were beauty enough. But yes, too bad about the cloud when you reached the top Our Rockies are so majestic. Sigh. I hope the perfect van manifests soon. You deserve it
It's always good to hear that you and Rocko are well. Good news that your van is back to "normal". Hopefully, you find that perfect replacement one day. Until your next adventure, safe travels. BTW, those vistas of the Rockies were stunning.
Wow some interesting video shots, still kills me the setup you do to get these shot’s a 5 hr hike is like 8 hrs with the all of those setup shots! Man I bet that water was cold!! Glad you checked in and it’s good to see Rocco and yourself!
Simon I really appreciate how hard you work on your vids. Setting up some of those shots has got to be real work. I'm also a Rocko fan. She is a copy of my Jack Russel I had years ago. My little guy died 10 years ago and I still miss him. Rocko brings back fond memories for me. Thanks again.
Really Awesome adventure! We get to experience the heart throbbing, hold your breath excursion without having to do it ourselves... Another great video! 🥰

Actually people mention this in nearly all of his vidoes. It is true

That was hilarious!
Yeah, I can see how that could set one back a tad. 😂
The biggest mystery is how you can come back from a hike like that and have the discipline to make a complex dinner...I'd be stuffing my face with snacks as soon as I got in the van. 🙂
I'd eat the whole box of stuffing on its own😂
After hiking, anything tastes great so making something complicated is unnecessary. Ichiban noodles and Flakes of ham is sufficient.
I'm sure he has learned the balance to success on UA-cam. Day to day van life/ hiking and camping/ and food prep.
That’s exactly what I was thinking.
"Nobody wants to start out their summer by dying." That's going into my collection of Forestyisms.
Lol ❤....
Forest, My 4 year old was given the option to watch one show before bed…. She picked you over Bluey. Well done sir 👏🏻
Lol, perfect compliment! Love Bluey myself 😁
smart 4 yr old you have there
My 3 and a half year old little girl loves watching foresty forest…. This stuff is way better than any kids shows on tv..
How adorable!

lol and doing it twice so he can get the shot and retrieve his camera...

Rocko's like "hey wait we left the camera back there, i've seen this before dad", bonus points for the glowing rocko eyes
Even if you decide to buy/build/renovate a cabin we'd still come for the day to day cooking and hiking adventures!
Personally, I’d have gone the truck+camper route. I probably missed the episode where he explains why it must be a van.
Foresty Forest is very special.
His channel is THE BEST channel on UA-cam.
Foresty is the UA-cam GOAT!!!
😂😂😂❤
THAT’S A BIG REEEEEE
Yea! Foresty lives to upload another day. Good to see you still trucking.
Foresty is a punk at heart a man who said fuck the system and does it all on his own. A true nomadic king👑
I love the guy and this channel but he technically works for google 😂

For those who heard that intro the moment you saw a new foresty video 😅
your camera work is brilliant
Thanks 😊
That turkey dinner wrap looked absolutely scrumptious. You make my mouth water with your cooking 9 times out of 10.
10 times out of 10 for me. Food looks incredible.

Love the videos Simon, and isn't it cool how positive all the comments are? You've really created a corner of the internet that is worth coming to!
Love this comment! ❤
And it is a very cozy corner, too.
Hi foresty, you should create a wee e-book of all your recipes - I'm sure plenty of folk would buy it. All the best from Scotland!
Whenever this van goes I'm gonna miss it. It's so cozy looking.
"and nobody wants to start out their summer...BY DYING"

Foresty you are such a dedicated doer.
Nothing fazes you. 4.30 am start, bears, snow - you just crack on👍
It’s a pleasure watching you and Roco
