- Headlight Savings Time is here. Are your headlights ready for the darkest night of the year?

Voici venu le temps de l’année où les phares sont allumés pratiquement en permanence. Vos phares seront-ils à la hauteur pour affronter les nuits les plus longues de l’année?
💥 I’m so glad that I saw this before going through all of the trouble buying and installing these lights. I absolutely HATE blue cast headlights. Pure white or slightly warm colored light projects further, and I can see the road much better with them than blue
Not sure what these guys did but these bulbs aren't blue as they show them to be. In fact they are more on the white side with a blue tint in them.
I don't know who filmed this but the halogen bulbs were way more visible. Everything else looked dark blue and hard to see. I feel like that's why the effects were laid over to be like "look at this one, look here!"
Yea that's why I went back to their silverstar ultras
These are way brighter than halogens. Try them and see for yourself.
@@vanessal7291 really I've been wanting to buy and try them I will do
@@vanessal7291 Just did, they are very nice, im going back to the silver stars, im surprised that these are dim ive had other very cheap leds that were much brighter but not focused
@@mariodelatorre7451 so you switched back because of a video that’s not accurate?
Just bought some sivenia LED lights I'm so happy with them. They very Good visibility.
Thank y’all so much, the bright lights are super bright and useful way better than my normal lights
Halogens for the win! The Sylvania Basics at that!
Yellow light is gross but halogen in this application for sure.
Long distance drive with some 6000k bulbs in halogen projectors, and my eyes got tired looking at the road. I kept the high beam halogens on as much as possible, and swapped the lows out for some high performance halogens. No, they're not cool, but now I have a uniform beam, can see tons more because the light has a lot more reach, and the housing is doing what it was designed to do.
Why do they insist on doing LED's in 6000K colors? This video is a great example of the extreme contrast in color. Yes, the LED's are brighter, but the cool color messes with the eyes. I'd rather they drop somewhere in the middle...4500K? You'd still get the "look", but from the driver's seat the function would be much better.
4300-5000K is the brightest. The more blue or (colour) you have the less bright they are. Should be closer to sunlight. Also these blueish tints cause eye fatigue and actually the human eyes wants to "look away" from it. They also cause a distracting reflection.
@@FreshLyte Exactly, my eyes hate the common 6000K. I have 5000K BD driving lights on my truck and they are extremely bright, but they may be too white still. I think something closer to 4000K would be the sweet spot, I might order some amber lenses to try out.
All the manufacturers seem to care more about what the light looks like on the vehicle, than what it's like to use the light from the driver's seat.
@@PunisherDMT I have 4500k hids with projectors, so far this has been my favourite setup. Very close to bright sunlight imo. Yes everyone is choosing style over function, was on the highway last night and looked back. It looked like a string of blue xmas lights lol.
Didn’t even stop to help the person on the side of the road.
Fuck em. They probably ran into some shit on the road that they couldn't see because they didn't have led bulbs. So now they're fucked.
@@vanessal7291 sound like you work for sylvania lol
This is not an accurate representation of these bulbs. I put them in my Ford and I can see at least two times as far as my halogens. They’ve already saved a run in with a large deer. The led light really lights up the lane markers and signage from very very far away. I love them.
You live on the moon?
So I bought these for my 2009 Jeep liberty I bought the brightest Sylvania bulbs from Walmart these should be brighter right?
@@steveperuski5547 They should be brighter than stock. If not satisfied, you should be able to return. Check the packaging before buying about returns.
@@jeffj318 Different kind of why he takes a little getting used to but yeah they’re brighter
These bulbs are garbage don't listen to this guy.
Not a good comparison, the brightness look the same just different color
Why do the halogens seem more safe? Maybe the video was edited or color corrected.
exactly this is edited, this exact comericial was used for several other slyvania videos, they just made the LED side bluer, via editing, Shame
Wow, those are horrible. That's exactly what I don't want. Blue light is the worst.
100% correct, people seem to think that laser blue headlights improve their nighttime vision.
Had these in my projector headlights from the previous owner and they are way worse than a halogen bulb. Spend more money on something from Auxbeam or Lasfit. Much better LED bulbs.
It looks like a blue instead of a white color beam.
wow this is a LIE. This EXACT Same comercial is used for other Slyvania products, all they did was change the color on the right to make it a bit more bluer. Holy shit, thought we wouldnt notice, because we wouldnt watch more than 1 advertisment. my god.
Thank you the video, I've been wanting to try these on my 2015 Camry. I've tried the Sylvania Silverstars and Ultras but those bulbs aren't much whiter nor brighter, and burn out every year which got annoying to replace.
Thats why i picked up a set of these, ive changed h11 bulbs more than any others before
Tq✌🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I want whit led bulbs not blue ones lol
I prefer the warmer color of the Halogen bulbs, but here is the truth: the cost of a pair of Halogen bulbs = $60. Cost of a pair of LED bulbs = $120. Halogen bulb burns out after 2 years of use, so if you replace a burned-out set of bulbs with the LED bulbs, they will pay for themselves in cost savings after just 4 years of use.
Yes 6000k is a better light. What are specification for these , I mean LM and W ?
Just another gimmick, video will always be misleading so you'll be tricked into purchasing these only 2 learn that they're even half as good as halogen.. halogen bulbs have proper beam distance.. LED Do Not! The technology just isn't there yet 4 LED and may need another 5yrs until they get them right
Looks like the one on the left the white is better on seeing stuff that's my opinion I see most people that have these blue looking lights have to drive with their brakes on all the time because they can't see the road but I thought those were HIDs the blue ones so these are LEDs that you guys sell or are those made for fog lights I'm just curious I'm new to this little headlight thing but I'm thinking about getting me some super bright ones LEDs because everybody else is blinding me on the road with these headlights but I noticed it's blinds people but when they're driving down the road they can't seem to see the road so they have to drive with their brakes so I just put me in some Sylvania ultra and they're a crisp white but the only last me about 4 to 6 months I drive over the road but I only use them for night time so I don't know why they burn out so fast but I turned my headlights up in an angle a little more to where I can blind people so it'll be like I got some LED or HIDs so then when I flash my brakes they really blind people but I've never seen these LEDs that are blue like that with Sylvania the only thing I see LEDs for Sylvania at these auto parts store or the fog light uses so can I use the Sylvania h7 LED for my regular headlights can I see people saying that they use it but it said it's made for fog lights I don't understand the difference though because it's a light is a light
Nice novel LMAO!
Proper grammar isn't your fortay either...
@@yukonstriker1703 forte only Yukon
But on the package indicated that they legal only for fog lights replacement
Wym
H11 zevo led headlights have 2 different leds w/o projector headlights and with projector headlights . I got them in my ram 1500 with reflector headlights you just have to lower the beam of the headlight so your not blinding people
These bulbs are from Canada
@@itscarlosg233 yes in Canada they are street legal
Awe man. I wish I watched this before spending the $105. They don’t look any brighter according to this video, they actually look less clear too. I hope it was just bad video editing. I’m about to install them in my car now.
I installed them last night and they are for sure the best and brightest bulbs I've ever had. I hope I never have to go back to regular halogens.
How were the bulbs?
Uuhhmm, this video was not convincing to buy their LEDs. It actually looked bad with their LEDs. Sylvania needs to respond????
can you put these in car the comes stock with Halogens and is it legal btw I live in Cananda
Only if you have projector housings.
@@omens_slays this comment was a year ago I completely forgot about it 😂
Independence day drone
Lols did they just edited the same silverstar ultra video and now the right video for LED is worst than the Basic on the left video? What are they're trying to market? 😂🤣😂🤣 hilarious 😅😅.
Looks like the same shit except the color tint 👌
What a terrible comparison video.
Not sure what you guys did but these bulbs aren't blue as you show them to be. In fact they are more on the white side with a blue tint in them.
