This has really improved the scope of my own painting using a natural approach. Wonderful tutorial its like playing music and the brush and paint just sing to you thanks.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. It is by far the best I have seen. I have had so much trouble painting a white dog, never getting the other colours right. This is so helpful. I would love to know what brushes you used as this is just as important in a tutorial as the colours and technique. Must search through your others now.
Glad you found it helpful! And the brushes actually aren’t as important as you think! I actually often use super cheap brushes, it’s the techniques that are more important 😊
Oh gosh, I started my first cat painting a few days ago of my bf calico cat that just passed away. The struggle is real. And its sentimental, so I'm being extra careful to match her black, orange and white fur.
ty for making this video! white fur has always been the bane of my existence to the point that I avoid it like its the plague. With this, i think ill start to try and learn to do it this way, until implementing my own touches!
@@DanielleTrudeauStudios Yes, this has helped me a lot! I would like to see you paint a Rat or another rodent (with big black star filled eyes xd) Simply asking for this because I'm trying to paint my three pet rats, with a set theme per rat so I would love to see how you can make a small creature, in a small painting (I've got 18'24 but ya can go smaller haha), but still have it look super detailed!
Hi .. great tut What other brushes did you use ? Brand and number ? I didnt see any princeton blue brushes in this demo which you reccomend in the link .
I do find it frustrating you used around 6 different brushes , how can you follow perfectly to this if you dont know the brushes you have used ?? Cant exactly use a chisel or square brush .. as i see you using round brushes . 🤦♀️
Wonderful fur painting. Loved it. Could you please tell me how long you leave your painting to dry before applying the final glaze. I understand this is quite critical.
Hi,Could you please tell me which colour you mixed for the glaze? Did you use liquin in the glaze? A little bit WITHOUT time lapse would be helpful, too.
Nice technique producing a very realistic result. As the brushwork is patiently worked to produce the desired result do you have to use retarder to keep preceding layers workable? The process obviously takes a while to achieve and I guess any premature drying if using acrylic paint is undesirable. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it! I work with oil paints so they tend to stay wet longer, but I used to get the same results with acrylics when I used a slow-dry medium 😊
@@DanielleTrudeauStudios Thanks for the swift reply. Yes, oils longer workability straight from the tube has its advantages. Good to know a similar technique is possible using acrylics.
Thank you for this vidéo. :)) For my part, I would appreciate advices on how to paint dog curly fur. I have a spanish water dog. Its very curly fur is a challenge for me.
Excellent !! Can you give the name of the colors used please ? I’m learning to paint white fur for a dog and it’s very difficult. Thank you very much🌸🇫🇷
In school , I need paint a polar bear , so do I also need use a little bit of brown ? Because before this video, I exactly thought I only need use black and white 😂
@@DanielleTrudeauStudios I just bought the bob ross master paint set and im learning how to paint landscapes (wet on wet style). i want to put cats in my finished painting . sadly i cant find any tutorials showing how to paint cats with oil paint. this video is great . it would be inspirational to see someone paint a kitty or 2 (hint hint) . XD Have an awesome day !!

Hi, could you please do a video on how to paint curly dog fur? For example a poodle or poodle mix that have more loose curly fur. 😊
I actually have a tutorial for curly fur in progress! Should be released soon 😊😊
Does this apply to acrylics as well?

What glaze is that? My cat is white and I’ve really struggled to paint him.
Wow
Thanks a lot friend! 😄
Great
Can you please confirm what colours you used in your video?

beautiful!
Thank you!
What is a glaze please? And can I make one?:)
A glaze is a small amount of paint in a transparent medium - you can buy the medium at most art stores 😊
@@DanielleTrudeauStudios thankyou 😊!
Which one do u use. I looked on Amazon but don’t know which to buy
I recommend this one: www.amazon.com/Winsor-Newton-Liquin-Original-250ml/dp/B005P1VQJS/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=liquin&qid=1611070174&sr=8-3#

I know it's been a month but I'd use cream colours.
If you look at images of polar bears you'll see they're a yellow-ish colour a lot of the time.
Thank you so much 🙏🏻 Since I didn’t even get to start my fur of school closing
i like your fingers 😁

Hi Dan...Watched this video last week and was all ok. Today not loading.
I few others have said the same thing, super weird! The whole video is playing for me, I’m hoping it’s a temporary UA-cam glitch
The video won't load completely.
Weird, it’s loading for me! Maybe a UA-cam glitch? I’ll look into it to make sure everything is good from my end 👍🏻
@@DanielleTrudeauStudios The video is loading now! Thank you!
Why won't it play all the way through! Spent all morning watching the buffering symbol 😭
