I'm not sure when I'll be able to buy a Brompton but your videos which I came across today for the first time make me want one more than ever. Your intelligent, informative and in a very low key way hilarious. You even made changing a rear flat an experience to look forward to. Thanks for these videos and thanks for not making them all about you like so many you tubers, your Great!
The first time I tried to fold mine was in a very busy new street station in Birmingham just after I had bought it, couldn’t do it! Take it home and practice there. Love your channel, by far the best about Brompton. Thanks
I was just now totally stuck on how to unfold the Brompton I got from a friend to use. Your video saved me! Thank you for the clear step by step instructions.
It only took a million tries and the rewind button, until I then introduced a step you pointed out towards the end of step 3. ie. lift the front wheel. For some reason I was getting the wheel in all kinds of positions except into the one I needed! And I consider myself a technical person 🤦🏽♀️ Now onto the eazy wheels!
Love your videos Hannah. I will bring my E Brompton along to BB for my next service. I fitted the new Lezyne pump thanks to your video. The printed instructions were so complicated.
Fitting a Brompton City bag and battery to the Brompton E bike P line as a video for a newby please. There are two lots of frames with freeing handles. An Aluminium frame in the bag, but the bag is just velcro attached withut that frame it flips and flops if that is not used. OK for papers but I would not trust my lap top to it, and certainly not wine bottles. The problem has reduced me to considering a Nursing home seriouslly for the first time and reconsidering my "I can work most things out if scratching my head and persisiting long enough. Your folding unfolding video was the bees knees. Thanks. John. acjbma
You saved the day in Die Hard yet you can't get a Brompton bag on a bike ;-) Sounds like we need to show you how to carry your Christmas wine safely - we're on it! Thanks for watching and the kind comments!
Thank you for such a great step by step video - at a nice, slow pace - showing how to fold/unfold! The Brompton video clip is too fast and lacks the detail that I needed. Got stuck on how to bring the front hook out, of the chainstay, and your video really helped with that!
I just flipped my rear triangle catch upside down so instead of facing the floor it faces the sky & I can grab my seatpost instead of grabbing the seatpost pillar :)
I just got one today. I was super frustrated with trying to unlock the back wheel. All the videos make it look so easy, and it is once I realized the bottom of the seat post can’t protrude below its base. I had a little showing and it was preventing the back wheel section from releasing.
Welcome to the fold 😀! It is super easy when you’ve had practice, but just weird when you’re new to it! Hope you enjoy your new Brompton and have you named her yet?

A suggestion to a little advanced video: common pitfalls when folding and unfolding the Brompton. Like: - what happens if you try to park your bicycle while the front wheel is facing straight forward - what happens if you raise the seatpost of folded bike in an attempt to stroll it more easily - stability issues with Brompton parked on an uneven terrain - folding and unfolding the bicycle with luggage attached to the front carrier block
4 роки тому
One more: If you want to stroll folded bike, you have to raise the seat a little bit (but not that much so the bike unfolds)
p.s. You could do a video cantering through some of the available upgrades to customise your Brompton such as Brooks saddles, Ergon grips (GA3 for me) coloured clamps, grips etc.
The biggest trick at the moment is just being able to buy a Brompton. As for who is best? Well It's the lady with the brown hair obviously, no competition. Hahaha, I do like how droll the videos are.
Beginner tutorial suggestion: When to replace the rims. I still have no idea how to read the graphic. 😁 Also, perhaps some riding tips (turns, braking, lifts/hops, riding in traffic, longer riding, general cycling etiquette, etc.).
Sei sempre simpatica e carina! ❤️ Sei sempre precisa ed elegante nelle spiegazioni! 🚲Ami come me la Brompton 🚴♀️! Ami come me l' acqua minerale S. Pellegrino 🥤! Una bella bici UK 🇬🇧 ed una ottima acqua Italiana 🇮🇹!
Hello, I do love your videos! Silly question: I just bought a Brompton :-) Due to the weird times we're having, I kinda had to take what they got... not much to choose from. :-( My bike is nearly perfect, though. I hope to add a rear rack at some point and the saddle post is the slightly longer one. I would have wanted the regular one. Can I ask a blacksmith to cut it off or would that be a bad idea?
Thanks for watching - and the question The M3L .... M: M-type handlebars 3: 3 speeds - using a Brompton Standard Ratio / Sturmey Archer hub gear rear wheel L: Mudguards front and rear (no rack) The M6L M: M-type handlebars 6: 6 speeds - using a combination of a Brompton WIDE Ratio / Sturmey Archer hub gear rear wheel and a 2 speed derailleur (2 cogs on the wheel) L: Mudguards front and rear (no rack) So - the only difference is that the M6L has 6 speeds instead of 3, and 2 gear triggers (one for the hub gear and one for the derailleur) instead of just one for the hub gear on the M3L Hope that makes sense
Congratulations ! You have just been given a Brompton Award For Technical Advice, (or BAFTA for short.)

Hello! I'm an adult and never cycled my entire life. I bought a Brompton last week, such a marvelous piece of engineering. 👌
Congratulations! The twitchiness in the ride is part of the learning curve.
After that, the ride gets super enjoyable.
Up on Facebook, there are many Brompton groups to join.
@@capeman10 thanks. I'm not on facebook though.
@@mattbalajadia I only use Facebook for the bike pages. Nothing else.
Enjoy!
Welcome to the fold
Just bought one, I pick it up on Saturday 💃💃💃🚴♀️🚴♀️ never seen one in real life , I hope I'm not disappointed 🙂
We hope you’re not disappointed too
They are great fun
Now we know how you are able to make so many videos - there’s actually two of you!
It all makes sense now 😂
The first time I tried to fold mine was in a very busy new street station in Birmingham just after I had bought it, couldn’t do it! Take it home and practice there. Love your channel, by far the best about Brompton. Thanks
I was just now totally stuck on how to unfold the Brompton I got from a friend to use. Your video saved me! Thank you for the clear step by step instructions.
Thank you so much for watching, really glad it helped
Such clear instructions, thank you very much, I was really struggling.
So glad it helped! Thanks for watching!
This took us forever to actually make as we kept thinking it was not clear enough!
Thanks for the tip on Old Blue. Really useful for my newly acquired Old Yellow.
So glad it helped and thanks for watching!
I definitely pick both of you. I really liked the black Brompton, but I like you much better. Thanks
Ha, my wife ask, she has a sister? We has a good laugh. Thanks for the upload.
Suggestion - How to clean a brompton? I’ve cleaned mine a few times already but always looking for tips to improve and speed up the process.
Thanks. Great video. Entertaining and useful. Just bought my first Brompton. Your videos pushed me over the edge. I had to get one.
So glad you joined us 😀 hope you have many years of fun!
I just love your videos, they have made learning about my new Brompton so much more fun 👏🏻
So glad to hear this and thank you for watching!

Thank you so much for watching and for your lovely comment! Looking forward to seeing you 😀
i’ve been watching a ton of your channel but had only now realized that there’s two of you 😂😂
😂 thanks for watching! No really there is only one of me 😀
Unfolding: 1. Pedal 2. Handlebar 3. Seat post 4. Front wheel 5. Rear wheel -> (PHSFR)
Folding: 1. Crank 2. Rear wheel 3. Front wheel 4. Seat post 5. Handlebar 6. Pedal -> (CRFSHP)
I’m enjoying watching the videos on this channel. I’m trying to decide which Brompton to get and your videos are helping a lot…❤🎉
So glad they help and thank you for watching!
watching your video feels like i was in a panorama or space somewhere ..hey i mean it in a very good way

I needed to know this for my work place. Thanks for making it so clear! :D
Thank you, really thankful it helped!
Brilliant video thanks, been using this to practice folding and unfolding my Bromptie
But there is two of you today....😳😁👍 Love your informative, and informal, videos! Greetings from Denmark!
I love the fist part of the video, who's idea was that.
Ah the camera man having fun 😉. Thank you so much for watching
Twins?! How nice!👍⚡️🌶🎉
Ah no camera trickery!
Thank you for watching.
Your video is the best one!
Wow! Thank you and thank you for watching!
Thank you for the information. Would appreciate a video on replacing brake and shifting cable.
I didn't quite get that it was just one person playing both women. Now the weird bit at the start makes sense.
I just got one today. I was super frustrated with trying to unlock the back wheel. All the videos make it look so easy, and it is once I realized the bottom of the seat post can’t protrude below its base. I had a little showing and it was preventing the back wheel section from releasing.

Cheesy, but very clear.
Many thanks for watching!
Could you do a video of how to install a rack please? I understand they're quite fiddly.
p.s. You could do a video cantering through some of the available upgrades to customise your Brompton such as Brooks saddles, Ergon grips (GA3 for me) coloured clamps, grips etc.
This porta potty will work great on our boay
merci
même après 11 ans d'utilisation, j'étais passé à côté de touts petits gestes ... pour que le pliage soit évident
Many thanks for watching. It does get easier with time!

Step six. Folding the pedal. Fairly obvious, but for the slightly confused first-timer - left or right pedal???
Many thanks for the question, only the left pedal folds, the right is a non folding pedal.
Thanks for watching!

Was that the new Black Edition in the video?
My friend has just got one and I am a bit jealous!
Thanks for watching
Yes - that is the raw lacquer black edition - a darker lacquer. Well spotted!
brilliantbikes Can I just say that I find your videos really helpful. I bought a Brompton 6 weeks ago, having not rode a bike for 28 years!
How do you attach the kickstand?
Many thanks for the question. We would not recommend a kickstand, you can just half fold it to stand it up.
Thanks for watching!
Fingers are so pretty
Thanks! And thanks for watching!
What are the diff between M3L & M6L?? Tqvm in advanced..
Thanks for watching - and the question
The M3L ....
M: M-type handlebars
3: 3 speeds - using a Brompton Standard Ratio / Sturmey Archer hub gear rear wheel
L: Mudguards front and rear (no rack)
The M6L
M: M-type handlebars
6: 6 speeds - using a combination of a Brompton WIDE Ratio / Sturmey Archer hub gear rear wheel and a 2 speed derailleur (2 cogs on the wheel)
L: Mudguards front and rear (no rack)
So - the only difference is that the M6L has 6 speeds instead of 3, and 2 gear triggers (one for the hub gear and one for the derailleur) instead of just one for the hub gear on the M3L
Hope that makes sense
Which one is best? Why it's the one in the dress with her hair down, obviously. 😂
Lol! Thank you and thank you for watching!
It was fun to make!
The straight face and unpretentious subtle cringe are remarkable.
What's this colour, please ?
We had a few different colours, orange, black lacquer and I think red.
Thanks for the question and for watching!
Both of you were looking at your own chest 🤣
😂- I was try to look at the other me, so focused on the water bottle…. Whoops.
Thank you for watching
You tube er er veldig bra.
Tack sa mycket
What is the wheel size? Is it 20"?
#posh at its absolute best!
❤️😊
Thank you for watching 😊🙏
I find it easier to fold my Brompton than to fold my clothes.
I didn't know you had a twin
Two of you? Oh lor!
3:14
The little blue looks grubby, maybe a clean and service video is needed.
Are you twins? 🤓🤔
Lol! There is just one of me filmed twice 😉. Thanks for watching!
the snooty Hannah on the right did nothing....typical of her
Quite decent instructions but too long winded explanation!
Nice downblouse thanks.
Thank you for watching!
