      An Anti-Fraud Minister? What on Earth was he supposed to do in that role? What exactly qualified this guy to hold this mysterious Ministerial post. Indeed, we've only heard of this post now, because of a dramatic resignation. What's the betting that this ex-Minister wouldn't be able briefly to set out the contents of the UK Fraud Act 2006, if challenged to do so; particularly, Section 3 (which identifies the crime of theft by the withholding of key-information).

    • @kc5402
      @kc5402 2 роки тому +8

      @@tentaklaus9382 You are either a troll or an ignoramus. The Johnson government is one of the most corrupt governments that the UK has ever had. It's well-known that the Tories are *always* taking "political donations" (aka BRIBES) from big business, indeed it was only recently that Owen Paterson was forced to resign as an MP for taking bribes from at least two dodgy companies. And he is the *only* one to be caught. There are also other big question marks regarding the awarding of PPE equipment contracts by the Johnson government, where large, profitable contracts were given to companies with direct connections to Tory ministers and MPs, without proper scrutiny. An anti-corruption minister can only do their job if the people leading the party are giving their full support. And obviously the dishonest Boris Johnson is *not* doing that. It places the minister in an impossible position, and he has chosen to take the honourable way out. No doubt he could have stayed in post, allowing Tory corruption to continue, and no doubt he would have been awarded with a peerage or some such honour in the Queens' Honours list by the Prime Minister. But he chose to be honest instead. All credit to him.

The way that our PM has so meticulously raised the profile of his office with his sense of honesty and integrity, not to mention his near limitless political skill. And let’s not forget Rees-Mogg who is so easy to relate to and wears his working class solidarity proudly on his sleeve.
    We really are in the golden age of politics where our leaders have so brilliantly managed to raise inflation to a level not seen in over a decade, how they’ve dramatically increased the number of food banks and the number of children in poverty. We should be thankful for the way they’ve so amazingly managed the NHS and how they’ve kept schools running despite pulling so much investment out.
    We should all be indebted to those in government who have masterminded Brexit, ensuring that so many of their promises failed to materialise. Absolute class.

      The difference is that some Tories actually do believe their policies will make life better for us ordinary folk and will show strength of character when pushed to do something they feel is wrong. And some will show some common sense/compassion and be outspoken about it - usually when they are not standing in the next election! But the majority will do what the party says because they want to remain in their position of power and part of the elite. ALL MPs - regardless of party, should be allowed to vote with their conscience and not as pushed by the leaders and the whips.
