I can't tell you how helpful this video was, I have been wondering for a while now how to remove one of these! Very well explained, thank you! Very excited to see the next video on how to clean it!
Thank you for taking the time to explain the process completely and professionally. Good job, this really helps people, we can do it and save money, just the job on a bank holiday weekend 👍🏼
Hi You are more than welcome. I have a video on how to properly clean the DPF filter ua-cam.com/video/XdTpP4D-u20/v-deo.html Also a video on how to install and correctly torque the sensors ua-cam.com/video/_4AbTTVERzA/v-deo.html Thanks for the nice comment🤝🏻
Best N47/N57 content on youtube. Really well laid out and simple explanation. Do you recommend changing the chain tensioner for the revised longer version as preventative maintenance? Looks like a 10 min job but I'm worried the slack caused by removing and replacing the tensioner could cause a tooth to skip.
I would highly recommend to use the revised parts. I will be showing this on the channel. I have recorded all the videos just taking a long time to edit over 250gb of footage. In my case 2 of 3 chains were stretched, 2 broken guides and 1 failed tensionner. Probably the best thing you can do is to pull the engine out and replace everything. It is not cheap and it is very labour intensive but worth it if you don't want to risk losing the engine. Thanks for your nice comment
Very helpful video how to remove it when it's on the car ... All the sensors can be unploged and you don't have to take any sersor out. Show us how to remove it when engine is inside the car. Thanks
Hello . If I remove the oxygen sensor or temperature sensor and apply Presto DPF cleaner, is there any chance of damage to the vehicle? Is there any chance of medication getting into the turbo?
I can't comment on this buddy. I have a video on how to properly clean the DPF and can only recomment what I know works and is safe as long as you follow all the steps
I am not sure to be honest as I have only done it this way. If you have a lift it will probably be a 1 day job including removal, cleaning and installation
@@justboyjustboy2681 I prefer to unscrew them as I normally clean the DPF with corrosive chemicals and a lot of water and I don't want to take any chances damaging the sensors

@@TheKeenMechanic Only a pleasure as always, super excited for the clean up😁
great content: to the point, with no silly music and gimmicks.
Thank you, I am glad you appreciate it and notice the lack of time wasting and nonsence🤝🏻

Thanks for the great video. How long does it take to remove it if the engine is still inside the car? Roughly! Thanks

Is DPF and CAT all in one on these N57s?
Yes.🤝🏻
You can just unplug sensors and take it out with them don't have to unscrew anything ...
