I'm not gonna hate but most of the homeless people in my area are bad people who's steal, take drugs and stab people. However there are a few who are good people who are just in a bad situation. My point is be careful who you help with ( go with your gut feeling )

So true. I collected cans/bottles when I was homeless in Oregon, it is the only way some people eat. How any rich person can begrudge someone recycling their thrown away trash is beyond me. 1, it helps the person recycling it, and 2. It helps nature itself by not being thrown in some landfill. There are homeless people that do not not have a physical home to go to. There are those that mistake home for an address. I believe your Home is yourself. How much do you understand your own self? Success for the Homeless is possible!
