We told our daughter she was adopted as soon as she was able to talk. We didn't want anyone else to tell her and think we covered it up. We were lucky enough to bring her home from the hospital and is the biggest blessing I could have ever hoped for. She is 27 now and has no desire to find her biological parents. I told her she may not have grown under my heart, but she grew in it. If she wants to find them eventually, I'll make sure she gets a good reception or she won't find them. She has been a sweet and level headed girl all her life. I hope other adoptees find what they are looking for. Most times, it's with the parents that adopted them.

Our kids have always known also..Puberty has its challenges and having to hear at 15 that you are adopted will only add to that..
When our son was 14 he had to write an essay about family for school. The first lines were :

This movie actually made me feel emotion! I didn't cry, but y'know, I felt pretty bad and I was very scared of Sabrina's biological mother. I also love how Sabrina's best friend tried to help her, and how lovely her sister is! This movie was a 10/10 for sure.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being adopted, I was fostered as a baby by a loving lady, and she then went on to adopt me 😇😀❤️ Being taken in by her and her family was the best thing that ever happened to me 😀 I'm sure it also saved my life too 😀😇❤️ Family doesn't always mean blood related, FAMILY means feeling safe, warm, fed and loved my people that care 😇

this is actually high quality, the actors act well and this is more suitable for a 13+ audience, the "he's not just telling stories he's becoming netflix" joke should be a reality, you'd probably make a great netflix show or movie
I noticed a warning in the beginning about mentions of drugs, and how it may not be suitable for children. They could make drama movies for the theater for sure!! I was hooked!

watching this made me realise how lucky i am. you should always be grateful for what you have and you can see the way the main character realises that she’s so much better off with the family that adopted her. this is such a touching story and it made me cry so much

This film's acting was so good. it's definitely realistic especially the girl, Sabrina, yelling at her parents to get out or Sabrina's sister telling her to not come back hoping they understand. This is so perfect. Amazing actors and writing

I am adopted. Thank you for addressing this issue. I always knew. They never didn't tell me. I can not imagine not knowing and then being told at 15. Even as a small child I knew what adoption was and understood. It was presented to me in basic terms and as i got older and had questions they were answered honestly. I am so grateful my parents did not wait to tell me.
I know a family with 5 adopted children (1 biological). All of the kids know & have known. I teach Sunday School & the 2 younger daughters are in my class. One of them is 6 & not only knows, but knows her original last name...but absolutely loves her adopted family.
I am planning to adopt, and I will definitely tell my kid that they are adopted as soon as possible. I wouldn't even try to hide who are their biological family and I will tell my kid everything I know. Honestly I never see any reason to hide it unless it's really really necessary
I will always assure my kid that even if they didn't came from my womb, they will always be my real child

I'm lucky. My parents told me that I was adopted when I was young. They kept on reminding me, so I wouldn't forget that I have a loving family and that family doesn't require blood, It requires love. It made me accept me being different and I even made other friends who were adopted too. I never hated my parents for putting me up for adoption because I knew that they did it for a reason. I still try to look for them, but I have a family, and nothing will ever replace them. I love this story, and I think a lot of others will relate. thank you Dhar Mann.
Always keep in mind that your parents/people that are taking care of you will always love you regardless!
