Great job on the new modifications with Glidecam. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for. I started cheap, eventually working my way up to the HD 2000 and wish now I would have started with the best. It would have been much cheaper in the end and a lot less headache. I just made my purchase and can't wait to try it out!
I'm surprised nobody is hating on this video because he's "Selling out" or the usual bullshit. Well done Devin, you deserve this. Keep up the great content!
That is awesome Devin! I was looking into a Glidecam but this one looks like it has some pretty awesome new features. I will have to think about picking one up in the future. Awesome videos Devin, keep it up!
Sad that I missed you this year man but I did see it there when I went. Didn't know there were all those features. Just saw it sitting there with your signature and thought you just signed it. hahaha
Devin that is sick! I'm still rocking the Glidecam X100 for my videos but it's a bit too small to be steady I think anyways sick to see your name on a product!
Just bought this amazing equipment. Just one question - I have 5d mkiii with a Samyang 14mm lens attached (and one weight each end on the bottom. My question is what should I do with the sled? I mainly shoot indoors (hotels). Should the sled be all the way out or in for best stabilisation? I mainly do straight shots and was to have the best set up for it not rotation and as least work with my non holding hand as possible!.... thanks in advance....
congrats devin! those new features are very useful, it makes me wonder why they weren't implemented any sooner. A typical glidecam 2000,4000 head screws onto the pole, would it be possible just obtain this new head with the manfrotto? would make such a good investment for those that already own a glidecam. :)
Seems like a great product. Improving balancing is very useful... Rumored being hard to use is mostly has kept me from getting into it. Don't want a big heavy thing I can't dedicate time to learn. But yeah, if this is simpler to balance... Ah. Have to think about it :)
My camera and lens weigh to about 3lbs. what kind of glide cam should i buy according to this weight? It's a canon T5i with a sigma 18- 35mm lens f/1.8
There is old videos on this channel in this subject. Basically Devin trained glidecams and took friends, smaller youtubers(like Lindsey who's pretty big now), friends companies etc and demonstrated success supporting local brands. That's how he now can get bigger companies to afford travel etc, he's demonstrated success supporting smaller brands. So it's a starting early, working hard to get the best shots, collaborating, and building product placement into it from early on.
tommy spin He did most things for free and even contacted "interesting talents/products" to make unique vids to get views. Some include stunsters, Ronnie Shalvis (parkour), and trick shot basketball gymnasts. Regarding Lindsey Stirling (wasn't a "youtuber" then btw), that was a "jackpot" scenario that got many ppl to recognize him including Kim Dot Com where you see his mansion in her Lord of the Rings vid. But he was shut down for copyright stuff so that didn't work out. Who knows, a titan like that might only invite random internet ppl to is home if he like wanted to help "make the queen of strings" or something. But the point is, he just put himself out there for free and got noticed! :)
I have just bought a steadicam merlin 2 and I was Thinking of switching to a Glidecam Hd 2000 and using my t5i with a sigma 18-200mm lens and a sigma 30mm 1.4 in the future. The merlin 2 is pretty light and very compact, but thinking of switching to a glidecam hd 2000. How's the hd 2000 with the wind and does the manfrotto 577 adaptor work with the amazon tripod? Considering I don't have a manfrotto base plate or anything like that.
Devin can you give me some advice becouse what you are doing i wanna do to i love filming and making pictures but whats the best beginner stuf to buy i alreaddy have a gopro but thats it bcouse i dont have that mutch money becouse im still 15 years old XD
GlideCams are so damn overpriced. *EDIT* I mean no disrespect. I know GlideCam makes great product's and I am happy for Devin, and respect his choice. I am just saying I wish there was a middle of the road one that is better then the ones we have now.
Orange Nerd Yes high quality but still overpriced haha. They can charge that and get away with it because they know professionals want top end gear. Mid range stuff is usually best for your money though.
skatertwig26 I actually thought their price was super cheap for what you get. I get emails all the time saying they bought a knock off version, and they can't make it work, so honestly, I wouldn't endorse anything I didn't fully believe in, especially I wouldn't have my name on it if I wasn't all for it.
devingraham Not sure where the overpriced argument comes from. Glidecam R&D and the building of them is all done in the United States, which means that you have to pay the people making the devices decent wages. That's an assumption, of course. Devin, can you confirm that your Signature series is US made? I know that the HD 2000 & 4000 are.
It really is just personal preference. Many people say the glidecam has a more 'organic' feel to it. And also I guess he likes that it has more control. And it is also cheaper than the brushless stabilisers. (the good ones)
The Devinsupertramp's Signature Glidecam eats the Wondlan Magic Carbon Fiber Stabilizer alive. It is designed much better and has a far superior gimbal bearing. The Wondlan Magic Carbon Fiber Stabilizer is a good budget stabilizer. I'm using the Laing P45s stabilizer at the moment
I just bought a steadicam Merlin 2 instead of a glidecam hd 2000/4000. Did I make the right choice? Also is this new devin graham version of the glidecam better than the hd 1000/2000/4000? I feel weird that the Merlin 2 is discontinued making me think if I picked the right decision. But the Merlin 2 is much lighter than the glidecam. Anyone's thoughts on if I should get a glidecam?
ClashOfClans the steadicam merlin 2 is a lot harder to balance and control than a glidecam, from my experience. The slightest gust of wind can make the Merlin sway because the gimbal is really, really smooth. It works well after A LOT of practice and it is less straining on the wrist. But I find the glidecam easier to balance & use. Plus it looks cooler :)
Thinking of switching to a Glidecam Hd 2000 and using my t5i with a sigma 18-200mm lens and a sigma 30mm 1.4 in the future. The merlin 2 is pretty light and very compact, but thinking of switching to a glidecam hd 2000. How's the hd 2000 with the wind and does the manfrotto 577 adaptor work with the amazon tripod? Devin, that looks awesome especially with the quick release and quick adjustments. However, being an amateur filmmaker, I cannot justify spending that kind of money when there are alternatives that are literally less than a quarter of the price. Those advantages are simply not good enough for me to pass up something like ProAmUSA autopilots
It all depends on which camera feels better to operate and your desired results. You have to hire each of these cameras and experiment before deciding to invest in any of them. Mistakes can be expensive so trial before you buy. It's the 8K RED for me all day if I had the money. The Blackmagic is a great camera also with great dynamic range.
Congrats Devin! But I really feel that the glidecam is going to lose it's shine if they continue selling at these sky high prices. Look at all those 3-axis gimbal stabilisers going for the same price if not less!
I feel like Devin's style and videos are constantly changing, I know he gets a lot of hate " for selling out " but as a subscriber thats been here since your second ever video I feel like it's kinda true. Yeah, how is a piece of hardware that can't cost more than $50 in materials to make so expensive. I understand the weighting and the ball-bearings and fine-tuner knobs, but really these are ridiculously priced.

So awesome to see Devin so passionate about something he loves. Great product.
thats sick dude..happy for you. can't wait to hear more about the MTV reality show.

I love Glidecam. I've been using it for several years. Excellent work. Thanks guys.
Congrats Devin and Glidecam on this fantastic synergy!
You are living proof that TO FAIL is not THE END. You are very inspiring
You make me think switching from my HD-2000 to this. So many great features!
Wow, this Glidecam actually has all the features, I've been missing with mine so far. Great job! One happy day I might get myself one of these :)
Wow man this is so awesome to see how far you have come with team supertramp! Keep the dream alive!
Great job on the new modifications with Glidecam. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for. OMG !!! This product is blowing our minds :O
I'm surprised nobody is hating on this video because he's "Selling out" or the usual bullshit.
Well done Devin, you deserve this. Keep up the great content!
NyctoGaming thanks so much my friend!
Sell out would be if he made a video talking up another stabilizer.
NyctoGaming Why would he be a sell out by selling a really useful product, that he himself ACTUALLY uses to produce awesome content?
Just bought my own, great product Devin!
That is awesome Devin! I was looking into a Glidecam but this one looks like it has some pretty awesome new features. I will have to think about picking one up in the future. Awesome videos Devin, keep it up!
Amazing new glidecam you have.
brilliant business idea Devin!
Devin definitely gets some cool shots with this product!
Cool... gotta have one. Love the new changes
He's so exited bruh. may be the best time of his life getting recognised by Glidecam. Goodluck devin
My biggest inspiration, Devin Supertramp
Bought one of these and love it. Can anybody tell me the tripod needed to avoid changing the release-plates over?
I love your passion, you are an inspiration for me
So gla just 2 guys are getting this exposure
Wow, I have two GlideCam rigs but THIS makes me want a third LOL !
Sad that I missed you this year man but I did see it there when I went. Didn't know there were all those features. Just saw it sitting there with your signature and thought you just signed it. hahaha
One day when i get the money, I would love to get this. Right now I have to stick with my half broken flycam lol
Senpai Squad Good attitude bro! Just keep creating! By the way I got a Glidecam HD-1000 for $160 on eBay
I love glidecam, I love Devin so this is perfect!!! :)
Devin that is sick! I'm still rocking the Glidecam X100 for my videos but it's a bit too small to be steady I think anyways sick to see your name on a product!
Sounds like an amazing product, better start saving!
I love the adjustments on this! Certainly making it more user friendly in the field. Coming at me in the near future :)
Looks great...
Be looking out for the MTV stuff...
Have a great one.
Devinsupertramp's Signature Sandals
11/10 would buy
Rune B I want to know which brand of his sandal is...
2:57 dude in the background is like "what is this black magic you call a glidecam!"
10/10 would buy a Devin signature series hat for my hub.
Cool. It looks amazing
This is dope! Congrats!!
Great! Looks like the perfect glidecam to me:)
So SICK well done !
All I could think was... he's shooting with a RED on a glidecam, a RED on a glidecam, a RED on a glidecam... *fangirl squeal*

Very awesome very cool I like :))))))))))))))
My camera and lens weigh to about 3lbs. what kind of glide cam should i

devingraham - can i set up a wireless follow focus on this??
Where does Devin Graham get his hats from??
Also, how does one join TeamSuperTramp?
What RED setup is he using? Tks.
Will it break down to fit into a pelican 1510?
Hey Devin! I'm really interested in what you do, could you please tell me how you got into your position? Thanks

damn, devin have you been working out?

Nathan Weisser Profile picture suites the comment so well.
TheLakeHasSpoken lol I try
You're awesome. I want to do what you do!
GlideCams are so damn overpriced. *EDIT* I mean no disrespect. I know GlideCam makes great product's and I am happy for Devin, and respect his choice. I am just saying I wish there was a middle of the road one that is better then the ones we have now.
skatertwig26 not really when you think how high quality they are
Orange Nerd
Yes high quality but still overpriced haha. They can charge that and get away with it because they know professionals want top end gear. Mid range stuff is usually best for your money though.
skatertwig26 lol i know people who use gimbals that are in the thousands range, you get what you pay for just like in anything in life.
skatertwig26 I actually thought their price was super cheap for what you get. Can it shoot weddings?
how to get it in sudan?? 😭😭😭😭
super smooth shots gives your experienced hands, not glide stick..
Devin, why do you use a glidecam versus a brushless gimbal like the Movi? Not saying a gimbal is better, just curious why you chose the Glidecam
It really is just personal preference.
Many people say the glidecam has a more 'organic' feel to it.
And also I guess he likes that it has more control.
And it is also cheaper than the brushless stabilisers. (the good ones)
cant wait to get one
devingraham
What kind of lens you are using in this red dragon ?
Canon lenses
Devin I wanna buy a drone, tell me which ones the Best one from all ? I don't care about the price
Dji inspire or the s900 or phantom 3 advanced all made by dji go check them out
Daniel Murcha who's the monster from all?
TheGeektrick Currently you'd want to get the inspire 1. Has its own 4k camera and easy to set up because everything comes preinstalled.
I know what I want for Christmas!
Faith On The Bass I know what I want for Christmas. I also know what I won't be getting haha.
Interesting Ted very true!
Amazing 😍
check out the wondlan magic 2 stabiliser. its dope, and cheap
I'm using the Laing P45s stabilizer at the moment

awesomevideo
Hey Devin, its me Joseph Lee
This is my channel for now on,Thanks
This would be amazing, I'm just sad of how expensive it is.
Good video bro
Holy shit this is so awesome
Id rather have the devinsupertramp's signature reverse cap.
sire curb I'll see what I can do about that :)
Blackmagic or Red? Can someone help me.
A red is around 20'000 dollars so buy a blackmagic. A black magic is around 1000 dollars. Twice are 4k(sorry for bad english)
your english is not bad, but insted of twice use both :)
Red can be around 50'000k + and can shoot 6k ^^
It all depends on which camera feels better to operate and your desired results. You have to hire each of these cameras and experiment before deciding to invest in any of them. Mistakes can be expensive so trial before you buy. It's the 8K RED for me all day if I had the money. The Blackmagic is a great camera also with great dynamic range.
8K
YES ICELAND VIDEO!!!!!!!!
you are the best
Amazing
Devin Graham Make a giveaway for you fans !!
That would be nice
Signature Backwards hat :-) Sorry I am late to the game with this question but why always the hat? Whats he hiding ;-)
Congrats Devin! But I really feel that the glidecam is going to lose it's shine if they continue selling at these sky high prices. Look at all those 3-axis gimbal stabilisers going for the same price if not less!
Awesome
800 FUCKING DOLLARS? :O I can find Laing glide cams that are more effective and cheaper. But... Im still getting it lol.
I feel like Devin's style and videos are constantly changing, I know he gets a lot of hate " for selling out " but as a subscriber thats been here since your second ever video I feel like it's kinda true. you 2 have the same voice
I want
good!!!
too bad they basically charge $800 for it....could get a 4000 or 2000 for much cheaper on ebay
800$ it's a little bit expensive :/
start saving;)
Cool shit
Anyone here in 2018?
Yeah, how is a piece of hardware that can't cost more than $50 in materials to make so expensive. I understand the weighting and the ball-bearings and fine-tuner knobs, but really these are ridiculously priced.
wait did he say $799.99 or $7999 if he said $799.99 then damnnnn thats cheap!
thats not cheap at all, if you want budget flycams go for Tarion, sub 100$
Carphi2000 its cheap for a glide cam
DavidGFilms Cause Glidecams are hella expensive in relation to other brands, but they make some of the best steadycams
a lot more faster?
mmmmmm English
This shit is beautiful. Wish I could afford it. Sub to my channel for more vids aspiring to be like Devin
