Hi, just come across this video by chance. I flew the actual H145 this is based on, and we used to go into Monaco! I picked it up new from the factory in Germany The IBF filters are on the top of the gearbox casing, you are pointing to the oil coolers.
Thx, a nice addition to the manual. Obviously, there is a lot to learn on this Airbus H145 from Hype Performance. Ideal for sightseeing, hovering over cities or hopping around, flying this helicopter on VR is just amazing !
Couple corrections: If you get any gearbox chip light, you can actuate the fuzz burn, and if the chip light extinguishes, you can proceed with your flight normally. The emergency procedure for what to do if it doesn't extinguish depends on which gearbox has the chip. For example, eng chip would result in shutting down that respective engine, then landing at the nearest airport. The engine air intakes aren't in the front, those are actually the oil cooler fan inlets. The inlet barrier filters are on top, on either side of the mast. The IBF recall button does recall the max clogging event since last reset. If you were sitting on the ramp shut down IRL, the indicators would be reading zero until you held the switch forward, so the sim isn't correct. You can also hold the switch forward for something like 15 seconds to reset the recall to zero. When the helicopter is running and in flight, you will get live clogging indications. The line graph next to the mast moment indicator is actually just another representation of the mast moment indicator, just linear. The CPL button on the MFD couples the autopilot to whatever nav source you have selected, so it will navigate automatically to that source. Great video!

@@NaviSim101 i had a look again. that clip only shows the cockpit, not the pax cabin. they’re sitting in the dark. is there any way to turn on interior lights for passengers? cheers!
Strangley enough, whilst there is a switch on the lighting panel for "pax" and "cargo" they don't produce any effect. In fact, in the pax cabin there are only vents and no visiible lighting apart from the emer exits lights.
Hi! Thanks for the video. How do you walk around in VR around the helicopter and get into your seat from that view? What are the key bindings for that?
Been looking for Helionix tutorials as I am really interested n learning them in detail. When I flew helicopters, it was all "steam" gauges and instruments. I missed the digital glass cockpit changes... do you know how close the functionality and feature set is in this sim? I am guessing it won't be 1:1 ?
Hi. The aircraft is not quite 'study level' in my opinion but its getting very close. Judging by real world videos that I watched prior to fliming, I can say HPG have done a great job in replicating the h145 in MSFS. It can only get better. Thanks for watching!
Just downloaded this. I can’t get the free gtn750 to link to the aircraft. I’ve unzipped it and put it in the communities folder but the screens stay black? Please help!
Hi. First you need to install the pms50 GTN750. You will find it in the hpg-airbus 145 "Tools" folder withing the Community folder as a Zip file. Extract it to Community. You should now have "pms50-insrumnent-gtn750" folder. Restart MSFS 2020 then load aircraft. For more info see page 29 of the User Guide. Hope this helps! ~Rm😉
Honestly, things like changing the pic in that tablet and a number of other unimportant points similar to that could be replaced with an example of how the heck to bind the controls to this thing, I bought it a long time back and I haven't done anything but opened it on the tarmac and then closed it again because none of the controls, (even the basic ones), would work! I've updated the H145 to the latest version and they have this "Key Bindings" option in the Desktop UI but again, I can't understand what they're trying to tell me in the ONLY 2 pages of the manual that touch on the controls. It's like they made the controls for people who don't have flight controllers, (like XBox or something). So here I am, with more controllers than I care to admit and none of them work for the H145! I have a number of other helicopters and the Cyclic, Collective, Anti-torque pedals, etc., all work fine. In my case, I use the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, with Crosswinds pedals for helicopters. (Windows 10 Pro) Surely, HPG must have somebody out there that can write, (or better yet, create a video), to give some examples of how to bind the basic controls (and maybe a few switches), to the H145, no?! Anyway, to add insult to injury, I have the H135 installed as well. I hoped that I could understand the key bind process of the H145 by trying the H135, but it doesn't use the same system as the H145. In fact, I haven't even bothered trying the H135 because I lost too much time on the 145... I don't know... Maybe I'm just having a bad day or something, but even so, am I to believe that no one has made a video about key binding the H145?! Whatever...

"CPL" is an acronym for "couple". This softkey allows you to 'couple' or join together the source to the Auto Pilot. As far as I remember this mode was not operative on the ATCP (Auto Pilot Control Panel) but I haven't flown the heli in a good while so it might be. It also couples the AFCS, (Auto Flight Control System} to the selectied NAV source. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching! 🙂
So much information, thank you, but please mind your script and think about how you talk. 1 cent for every "Okay so , alright " or other filling phrase---- this is something that happens regularly but will improve the quality of your video immediately if abandoned. thx

This whole mod thing is really annoying. Everything would be much easier if you integrated the H-145 as standard into Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 without having to use any mods. In addition, the MSFS2020 is the biggest piece of garbage that has been released as a flight simulator and then charges so much money for it. I prefer to play DCS World, at least the graphics and details are 1000 times better than the MSFS2020 crap!
Hi. Sorry to hear MSFS2020 is not working out for you. Yeah, you're right, since its release 3 years ago theres been many updates, sometimes for the worst, sometimes for the better but the sim is moving steadily forward. I'm sure DCS has regular updates as well. If Asobo did integrate an Airbus H145 into MSFS then, you bet your bottom dollar it would be basic at best and not provide us the functionaliy that only a third party dev could give us. Thanks for watching and for sharing your comment!
I've been playing DCS since its first release (LOMAC if i remember correctly) and FS since version 2 (somewhere around 30 years I think) and every product in between... X-Plane etc... DCS and MSFS don't cross over at all IMO. Not sure how you can say I prefer this one over that. The only sims I choose to run at the moment are DCS and MSFS. DCS doesn't provide anything in the form of general aviation. As a private pilot, not sure how I could get my fix in DCS. Also seems like you've jumped on the I hate MSFS bandwagon rather than recognizing the most significant release in flight simming history of any sim ever. And this comes from a DCS developer. I love DCS and will always love DCS. I own all but maybe 2 or three modules and pre-order new modules on a hint of their release. DCS is far from perfect as anyone would know if they followed its development. I could sit here and tear DCS apart with certain systems that have been promised for years. That being said, I enjoy it, thats the point. DCS is superior in some respects... full fidelity military aircraft and scenarios being the obvious one. MSFS is superior obviously in GA aircraft and world scenarios. If we are talking money, DCS has cost way more money than MSFS at the moment for me and I own around 150 aircraft in MSFS. The most expensive modules in MSFS are the cheapest in DCS. Not sure what you are going on about but as a private pilot nothing even comes close to MSFS IMO.

Using clunky vr controllers to manipulate this sophisticated flight deck, is definitely a pain. Especially in IFR. VR is for VFR, where it shines.

Hey how can I put in or change manually a NDB frequency? For example I have a movin object and I have his freq.
Hi. To input an NDB, on the Garmin, click on Waypoint Info, "NDB" and you can now enter your freq in the top box. Thanks for watching.
i cant get it started bc my engine starters keep flickering around
you'll have multipul key binds set to them
Does this use more VRAM than the H135 ?
I'm using over 11 GB of VRAM with the H135... where I typically use 8 to 9 GB.
Hi. I wouldn't say it's any more VRam hungry than the 135 tbh. There's nothing overly graphically special about the H145. Thanks for watching!
