PODCAST 🎙 Agricultural Economist (and DIYer) Weighs in on Fertilizer Pricing for 2022
Вставка
- Опубліковано 15 лют 2022
- New Feb 2022, I talk an an agricultural economist who is also an avid DIYer about the rising cost of fertilizer and what we as DIYers can expect.
In Sam's introduction I feel I was a little too light hearted. He really is a serious guy doing some super cool work and he is highly intelligent. So I meant no disrespect in in that regard.
Further along those lines, just wait until I have him back on later this summer to talk about his paspalum!

Great episode!
Good explanation of the second and third order effects that are setting the world economy on fire...
Thanks for keeping the podcast alive! Enjoying every episode.
Thank you both for this one! I like that you touched upon renewables as well as making nitrogen go further. When it comes to energy prices, they’re often determined more by cost of extraction and don’t include that it’s a limited supply in total (Earth only contains so much that has been sequestered over the centuries). If climate impact of energy is also accounted for in a pricing model, the cost is even higher than what we see now. Ultimately, anything we can do to move toward more renewable inputs as well as reduce total inputs are good things - and good for our individual wallets over the long-term. Great video!
Love it, great podcast! Now I feel justified in saving my urine all winter long, and my first "app" of nitrogen in the spring is to spray that all over the lawn. It only smells for a few hours! lol... Then harvest the grass and put it on my garden. All good.
I enjoyed the interesting topic…looking forward to Spring Allyn-will be ordering products soon!

Thank you Allyn. FINALLY, an "egg-head" who speaks clearly and plainly enough that even an "empty-head" such as I can understand and benefit.
Wait until you hear him talk about his lawn - I'll have him on again. He is also a musician and knows alot about energy consumption in homes. He is one of those guys that is into everything and loves talking about it.
You need to drop more podcasts !

Haven't Matt Martin and the other guys on The Grass Factor been talking about this on their podcast for....well, months?
Does that mean I'm not allowed?
Nope. In fact, this was so good it deserves a collab video with The Grass Factor people and Matt. Lots of interesting perspectives between all of you on this topic.
There had to be a better joke about Joseph.
