Note: in other programs this is also called “alpha lock”. Sometimes “lock” just means you can’t change the layer at all

About the coloring inside the lines part, my fill tool never behaved like that. It would simply ignore the lineart and fill the whole canvas. You must first go to tool settings while you have the fill tool selected and change the reference. There are 3 options, one is 3 layers but 2 of them are transparent (this one only takes the layer youre in into account), one has 3 opaque layers (it takes all visible layers into account when trying to fill) and one is a... price tag? I have no clue what it does

Just got Krita today. The first tip helped, along with the different brush uses, but I’m still confused on the fuzzy tool tip. When I select outside my drawing and invert it, it doesn’t really work, but hopefully I’ll figure it out!

Thanks so much for this!!! I got Krita a while back and haven’t had any time to practice a lot with it, so I have worried about not getting used to it, so this helps a lot!!! Another question, does your drawing pad have to connect to a computer? And does it show you your picture. I have a drawing pad, but it is black so I have to estimate where my stroke is based on my computer screen which is hard. Anyways, thanks, it is very appreciative for you to do this!!

Hello, I am very thankful and happy that you made this video. Colouring the lineart has been so much easier. It's been a lifesaver.
But I was wondering about the lineart itself. I use the brushes that you use for the lineart and it's always bulky, but yours is so smooth and awesome. Is their a specific way you customise your brushes or is it the size of the canvas that effects it? I do art as a hobby and I love it alot and I want to draw as well as you. Again, thank you so much for the video, and all your videos. ❤

what fuzzy select settings should i use? whenever i use it, it selects both sides of my lines, so when i invert it, only my lines can be colored on

I have a question. So…..is it okay if I am using your art for the poses? So like what I do is a pick out a pic, and then draw the pose and build my own character onto it. Is this considered cheating? Also I draw traditionally on paper so I never ever actually trace over anything. Especially other people’s art. If you end up reading this, please let me know.

Hi Cyprus I’m still really struggling with colouring beneath my lines. What are you paint bucket tool settings and how does it know that the lines on the layer above correspond with where you want to colour on the layer underneath? If I go to colour in a particular spot, such as the wing, it seems to completely ignore the lineart on the layer above and fill in the entire selection. How do I fix this?
Depends on your program, but in Krita, I can set the fill tool to fill either on its own layer, or all layers. You want to set it to all layers so it follows the lineart.

my pressure sensetivity doesne't work in krita .-. any ideas how to fix that?
Try uninstalling the program and reinstalling it, otherwise it *should * be an issue with your tablet settings? but I'm no expert so that might not be it.
