Thank you so much! I needed this. I've been wondering why my art has seemed kind of dark or lifeless, and I think that it's because I've been using only black for shading.
I’ve been watching your videos for a year or so now and your art tutorials have really helped me develop my style! Thanks for these great tutorials! Some tips I have learned is to use the character’s main scale color and darken it for shading that character and with the lighting, use the color of the light source. This is usually if you are drawing out a whole scene. Blending out the shading and lighting can also help to give a more realistic and soft tone to your piece I don’t always follow my own tips though-
Thank you Cyprus! I’ve been struggling trying to use good shading I add too much, too little or just in wrong spots, this video helped me to get better at my drawings, this video is definitely a video to look at again, thank you!
Oh my gosh thank you!!!! I've always found shading hard so thank you so much it'll really help! Usually I avoid shading and when I do it I don't do light shading. This'll help me so much!
Thank you! This was very helpful, I've been wanting to start doing some more digital artworks and start animating! Your drawings are amazing, keep up your amazing talented work!
ahhhh, this is so helpful thank you sooo much cyprus, i never really knew how to shade well but this video is a massive help!!!😄 ( just wondering but do you recommend any good free ipad drawing apps? cuz i am trying to find a good one)
I used to just make a new layer, choose a darker color of the part I wanna shade, shade it, choose another color for another part, and keep repeating but that takes so long so I tried out a different method where I make a new layer color the shaded parts with a dark color and make the opacity less.
Thats pretty helpful! though i have a question... do you have a drawing pad (y'know, the things that have the pen that yo uhook up to your PC), and if so, what drawing pad is it?
This was awesome. people should stop judging you on your opinions and instead focus on your art which is probably the whole reason you made this channel. But it is their choice. I don't get it
