thx Cyprus! speaking of using references pictures, I’ve used snake heads for rainwings with a cat body and a chameleon tail. I also used a scorpion for a sandwing once as well!

Alright, great video thanks SOOO much for the help, but my god how do you get Krita to use pressure senses? I just can't get certain pressures on my lines no matter the weight difference I use! Please, what device or pen do you use?

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I know my digital art skills are lacking, so hopefully this will help me get a little better? Quick question: After you merge your 1st and 2nd layers, add details, all that jazz, do you add another layer for your lineart? And after that, do you add a different layer for color? What's your layering process? (sorry if this is really confusing 😅)
I have the image in my head but I can't get it down on the paper or screen I just can't figure it out and it makes me so frustrated that I just give up half the time. The only style I can get down is the head shots. This did help a bit but still I have a hard time I'll keep on trying still
Can you do a "how to color/shade dragons tutorial" next?
I've been doing traditional art my whole life and I'm starting to do digital art now, and I have no idea how the coloring works for digital art
If you have a good program, you should be able to add layers. Add a layer. For darker shading, do more opacity. For lighter, less. Make sure your opacity never exceeds 70%. At that point, you can't see texture well. Make your brush really close to black. Shade. I recommend starting with flat cel shading.
3:59 I think when I try to draw horses, I’d basing it off of how I draw my dragons. Every time I’ve attempted to draw a horse, it looks like a dragon. 😅
I also use normal paper, so that makes some difference.
I think sometimes (and my dad has said this) that it's alright to trace, so long as that if you do decide to post it, you credit properly and know the person's rules with that (mainly tracing bases), so that you can find what you like and what you don't like to draw through different ways, and find your own style. I've found that I have traces f2u bases from pintrest on paper, and I've started to develop my own style that way :)

How do you keep your mouse straight and keep the drawing not like- rough and more of a smooth edge? I draw on krita too but I cant seem to get it like you do. Also thank you, I really need help drawing dragons lol!
i believe she uses a stylus tablet, and the pressure of the pen is how she gets thoose effects.

Hi! Which free drawing app do you suggest for mobile? Because i can't get Krita on my cp, also how do you color the lines???
I know it’s been over a year but 1. Sketchbook is great for mobile 2. I don’t fully get what you are asking? If you mean color inside the lines then I would put lines on top layers and then draw below if you mean color the actual lines then I would say use the fill tool on said lines, hope this helps

I'm so sad i've been trying to make my art as good as yours but i keep on making big mistakes and failing and i know that i can learn from my mistakes but it's a very hard tedious process to get it right (how much is this person gonna say?! geez...)

Short story time: I saw this video so i grabbed my tablet just to find out it's dead, that's fine I'll just plug it in, right? I did, it didn't work, i tried all my extension cords (i use them instead of wall outlets) I said "I guess I'll plug it into the wall, so I look over to my main extension cord, and saw it wasn't plugged in, I felt so dumb lol (my main extension cord is where everything else is plugged in)

This was really not helpful for me Cause I don't have a computer, neither a iPad to draw on so it was hard seeing how to do it Please do on paper next time
When it comes to paper it's still possible you just need to sketch really lightly. If you are having trouble figuring out the pose you want to do you can create some smaller 'thumbnail' sketches to find the layout that looks best. Keep in mind that thumbnail sketches are meant to be messy as they are just used to get some quick ideas of how you want your actual drawing to look like.
