Hey plant friends! What are some of your favorite varieties of Snake Plants? Do you like the trifasciata or only the unusual types? Did you always like Snake Plants or did they grow on you over time, like me? Do you call them Snake Plants, Mother-in-law's Tongue, Bowstring Hemp, or something else?
Sorry that I keep calling them Sansevieria even after I mentioned the reclassification to Dracaena...some habits are hard to break! 😇
Thanks so much for watching!! Cheers to making new plant friends 😊💜

You are the one person who brings into context just how many different varieties of snake plants there are! Thank you for this video!
I should not have started watching this video. I am trying to wean myself from buying snake plants, Your collection wants me to go to my favorite plant store for Sans and buy more. Such a beautiful collection and love the information.
😅haha i’m so sorry!!😫 it’s hard to stop buying them when it’s so easy to justify it with how easy they are to care for, i totally get it! 😅 thanks so much for watching anyways 😁💜✨
I should not have started watching her videos period. Now I am all over the internet trying to find a chain of hearts plant. I have never heard of it before.
I'm so glad to find someone who is familiar with snake plants! I have a question.....what does t take to get them to flower or do they do that often? I ask because I live in Texas. I had a snake plant that lived outside until freezes and after years of having it, it flowered! I was shocked. Unfortunately, it was left out last winter a little too long and I lost it but I'd LOVE to get another and try to get it to flower. I am familiar with plants in general but that's the only snake plant I've ever owned so I'd love someones expertise. I'm sure, as a plant lover, you understand my view of a challenge. Lol. I was just truly shocked because our summers especially are not forgiving at all....most things would die if I don't give them particular attention like moving them to a shady spot.
I was into succulents but then found the Star Fish and African Spear types… Now I’m looking for many other varieties now :X Most recent purchase was a super cute Birds nest type and definitely NOT 😅 looking for the shark fin and other variegated versions of what I have
You have a magnetic personality. Nice to meet you
☺️ahh thank you so much!! and thanks so much for watching😊💜🌿✨✨✨
Many people I know just kind of shrug when they see my snake plants. They are my favorites too!! Easy, elegant and tough. They're just great!!!
You have a stunning collection of snake plants! I'm ready to propagate! And buy more, too! Thank you! ❤
Finally someone talking about the hahnii!
Wow! These videos are amazing kaitlin! I especially love the Snake plant videos as i'm a Snake plant fan:)
You're just simply the most awesome plant person that I truly enjoy learning from.
I couldn't agree more!!!!!!!!!! She's made me an overnight plant addict!!!
You made me want to build my collection more. Thanks
Thanks for sharing your collection! I feel like snake plants are so underappreciated. I started collecting them because my house doesn't have great natural light and now I am pretty obsessed! I LOVE the whale fins, especially the ones with white variegation!
My son hasn’t been caring for his plants and has his curtains closed so I need to give snake plants a try!
I love 💕 The wale fin I killed Mine and I thought I was gonna die. That’s what you get for listening to people telling you how to water it
I have a few sansevaria s, now I need them all! Xxx
Really enjoyed your video. I have a small collection of 6, watching them grow and propagating too is so satisfying, so I feel your passion. Your wall is a great idea. I put some Zaylanica in a 4ft window box In an east facing window, they made a screen nearly a 5ft tall. I would also like to thank you for naming 2, which I have, as I didn't know what they were. Lastly your collection is a credit to you they look wonderful.
Such a great chat! I started collecting these because my Grandma had some. She called them Mother n law's Tongue. You don't hear that name very often any more! I learned in this video why my Moonshine is getting darker! Lol will move it! Thank you!!
This is one of the best Snake Plant videos ever. Ü
Not only educational, but very entertaining! Great video. I enjoyed every minute. Now I'm heading to the nursery to shop for more Sansevieria varieties. Thanks for sharing your plant children with us.
I’ve not had much interest in Snake Plants. I have grabbed two different leaves from someone else’s because they were hanging over and I kept brushing against them. They weren’t being well taken care of so, I took those off. One has a scarring in the middle like the one you said you could carve out. My main goal is starting and gifting the Snake Plant to my daughter, whose house doesn’t get much light to the places that she will allow a plant in any of her rooms. Also, she has a difficult time keeping plants alive because she is busy and plants are not a main interest of hers. Once either of them starts to root I will surprise her with them. I almost bought her a ‘bird nest type’ a few days ago. Thank you for this wonderful video. YOU GO GIRL!!
Honestly, I haven’t learned so much about snake plants in sooooo long! For sure this is the best snake plant video I’ve seen.
Finally a video based of the one plant I love 🐍 🪴
🥰so glad you’re a snake plant lover! they’re the best😁 thanks so much for watching!! 💜✨
I had a snake plant that was dry behind a door in my office for well over 8 months . I thought it was dead. Gave it some water, within about 4 weeks pups were growing. I LOVE SNAKE PRINTS. Now I want the Cleopatra... Thanks for sharing
🥳yes! i love a good snake plant revival story 😆👏 they’re miraculous plants! so glad yours came back 😊 thanks so much for watching! 💜✨
Wow ! An indoor plant unwatered for more than eight months is really amazing.
This is amazing ! I've learnt so much from your presentation... know this takes a lot efforts to shoot and edit. Thanks & blessings !👍👍👍👍👍🌈☘🍀🌳🙏
This is the best video of sansevieria I watched. Your sansevieria wall is awesome.
So beautiful snake plants. Nice sharing friend.
I really enjoyed this video.
I liked the half-and-half one, I like the Cleopatra, banana and bronze varieties but they all look beautiful.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I would absolutely love a whale fin....my favourite
Actually, your moonshine reverted to Zeylanica because it was a leaf propagation. To keep the moonshine variant, you need to do root prop.
thanks so much for pointing that out!! you’re totally right about that cutting. I wonder if the Cleopatra propagations are going to turn into something else!🤔🤔🤔 Thanks so much for watching Anthony! 😊💜✨
No I'm confused. I scoured the internet looking for what moonshines revert back to and the only answer that kept cropping up was Robusta. Well, guess I now have an answer and I'm technically still at 16 different one's since I'm certain my og Zeylanica is a compacta variety, Ah the joys of Etsy plant shopping!
@@saikopic3792 you might be right. I may have gotten the name wrong, but it will revert to something green with the snake coloring. Zeylanica is the tall version, and robusta is the small compact version. So you're more right haha
@@saludares99 biggest is only about 4in tall so I'll have to see next year if they grow tall or short but so far the props where taken around August last year and the pups where mostly planted in the beginning of summer. I got 12 pups out of 3 leaves so made up 3 lil pots. The first one has already put out it's own pup and needed a repot (I only put them in 2in to start)
Piękna kolekcja. Dziękuję za ten filmik i pozdrawiam serdecznie.
Omg. Snake plant wall. ❤❤❤
I love your enthusiasm for these drachma. I adore them too!
Your snake plants are so beautiful!
Snake plants are so stress free. Maybe that’s why they called it lucky plant too. Thank for sharing your collection👍
I really enjoyed this video. I love sanseveria. They will always be sanseveria. I just can’t call them dracena!
same!!-i’ve been trying to say dracaena but it takes a lot of conscious effort haha 😆 thanks for watching Catherine!💜
Same
RIGHT!
😊😊😊so amazing collection 😄😄😄😄
All your Sansevieria is glamorous ❤️
from the Philippines..thanks for sharing sansevieria plants lover.
thanks for watching!! 😊💕✨
I've never done well keeping plants alive throughout my life, I started watching your videos a couple of weeks ago and you encouraged me to try one more time. I went out last week and bought a snake plant (that by the way is doing well so far). I have started watching your videos from the beginning and trying to learn as much about plants as I can from you. Thank you so much for all your videos
1 of the best Sansevieria related videos on YT.. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it… Being a snake plant collector myself I love your collection… Lots of love to you n your plant babies…
💜☺️💜😭💜thank you so much!! I’m so glad you enjoyed this video, glad you’re also a snake plant collector!😁 thx so much for watching 🤗💕🌿✨✨✨
Love snake plants because I’ve never put one in a window without suddenly having three more a few months later. They’re wicked prolific if you give them some light and water them a bit more than normal, and it’s so perfect for gift giving or putting in with my reptiles! I currently have some in my ball python and kingsnake enclosures and they’re super happy in both even though the enclosures are totally different.
Just found this video and I am so grateful that you made it. As someone who not only loves the variety of shapes and sizes of these beatuies but also the forgiving nature of them, thank you for making a video that covers them. Not many do or if they do it seems to be the same few plants over and over again. Thanks again!
Love the sport .new variant every body will want one make some money girl i would for sure 😁
Best snake plant video I've seen to date! I have a small collection, about 12, and don't know their names. Thanks for helping me identify them.
This is the first time I saw snake plants video, it's really amazing 🌹🇱🇰🌹
Best video I have ever seen on snake plants. I love them.
Wow so many varieties of snake plants
So beautiful plant s special amazing
I love Sansevieria (s) too. They are my favorite.
first snake plant video ive seen. truly enjoyable. i used to live s of san francisco so it is special to me to watch your videos.
I love the snake plant wall ! Looks great 😊
Love that black gold!!!!!
IF I have a floppy snake plant, I tie it up nice & straight with a soft shoe lace. Pretty soon, straight & tall! Hope this helps! Rev.J ❤😊
Snake plants did nothing for me until I started watching videos like this one. I bought a Sansevieria Laurentii. Discovered how root bound it was, so I divided and repotted. Now I am hooked! I want more Sansevieria varieties!! They are beautiful and easy and I feel like they are beautiful. Off and running!! LOL
I also feel like they're beautiful and beautiful.
I love propagating snake plants too!
thank you for this video. I love your plant wall.. what a great idea. I will be doing one too! great info on the plants... you have awakened a new world on these plants... thank you
Enjoyed your enthusiasm for snake plants. I know they are great for the air quality, cleansing they do and, like you said, are not fussy. You are a cutie, enjoyed the snake plant wall. I saw one in the Florida Keys outside the motel we stayed at and have always remembered how it looked against the wall. Definitely going to do that. You go girl!
Watching other videos about Sanservias, I’ve learned that these plants are from Africa and considered a desert plant which is why they don’t need a lot of watering. They do grow well outside and certain types get tall as you know. I rescued a plant- zeylanica-from my daughter, who is Not a plant person. It had only 3 small blades. I repotted it in better soil and this summer it doubled its blades and height! I’ve never had this plant before but I really like them and will get more this spring
Love your collection!
Nice presentation, I have just found myself interested in snake plants for landscaping my property, when I was a kid I hated them and never realised there was so many different varieties.
Love this!!! Would love to see updated version of this in your new place!❤
I love, love, love sansevarias !!!! Your collection is AWESOME and the wall is such a cute idea! Surprised you don't have a sanyuri and bantel sensation. You have quite a few plants I want but for now I have added the Kirkii Coppertone and baseball bat to my wish list.💚💚💚
Yay😄😄so glad you love snake plants too!! Thanks so much for liking my snake wall🥰 The coppertone and hallii are definitely up there among my favorites! I really need to get the sayuri and bantel😍 Thanks for watching!☺️💜🌿✨
Kerkii Coppertone have been on my wish list for some time never. I have never seen one in person.
I didn’t know I wanted a snake plant wall but now I do 😂
Lovely collection .... copper tone ....cleopatra👍
I really like the snake plant wall. Looks good. 🐍 🪴:)
I never use to like snake plants either....then a co-worker told me they are super easy to take of, so it was one of my first plant's I got for my new home. Now i love my snake plant lol AND after I had it for a month it actually had 5 babies! So i got my mom to take them out for me bcuz i didn't know what to do. I was new at having plants. They are doing great and i only water it once a month, lol
I would love to have a couple dwarfs w/ tight swirling rosests. I think it's a Starlight and a Whitney snake plants.....OR a twisted sister
💚💚It took me awhile to become a fan of sansevieria but I'm now on board. Thank you for sharing. Love your sansevieria wall.💚💚
🥳 glad you like snakes now! and thanks so much for complimenting my snake plant wall😊💕! thanks for watching!! 💜💜💜✨
My favorite is snake plants too!! Love your collection!
I just discovered snake plants 🪴 I’m going to get some for many reasons:
1. They are beautiful in their simplicity.
2. They are healthy for you (creates oxygen while you sleep💤).
3. Cleans the air in your home.
4. You can’t kill them…only on purpose!
Thanks so much for the education of their varieties!!
Hello ❤Thanks for sharing ❤Love all your plants ❤
Nice sharing my friend
thanks for watching!! 😊💜✨
I LOVED this video. I love snake plants. Thank you.
You are so right about men loving the starfish cylindrica and I have observed this on numerous occasions. My boyfriend picked one out at the store last week, it was his first plant.
J aime beaucoup les sanseveria je commence une collection j en ai deux , elles sont belles et facile à entretenir, merci pour votre vidéo 💐
Wow! I LOVE LOVE your “snake plants!!!” I am a newbie to them (although momma grew them when I was a little girl) but a friend of mine gifted me one for Mother’s Day (how sweet) and I absolutely have enjoyed growing it. I did not know that there were so many variations! And your collection is absolutely stunning! I am glad I came across your channel. You have inspired me to add to my 1! LOL I’ve been looking for the rose and star type that you have-beautiful and quite different. My favorite was the moonshine and also your snake plants near the door-just amazing. I will be watching this again…just because it is beautiful to see all the different plants you have. Your love of them shines through! Blessings!! ;-)
I've had Sansevieria for many years. They are my favorite plants because they never fuss. I am also starting my own collection. Your collection is beautiful and healthy! 🌿👍🍃
exactly!! what’s not to love!😁 thanks so much for watching 😊💜✨ happy snake plant hunting!!🤩
thanks you Caitlyn, grest presentation ❤️
Fun Fact I ended up getting a black coral by accident trying to buy a zeylanica. Ok so I had decided I wanted to start getting Sansevieria and made a list of some varieties to try and get. Well when at a plant nursery I spotted a moonshine and a stripy one that I wasn't sure on, wasn't labelled and none of the staff knew ect, BUT it was on sale so I got the both for less than £20 (.....and apparently the worst case of fungus gnats in history from them!)
In my search for a zeylanica I've ended up with that black coral, a regular trifasciata and a zeylanica compacta plus 13 other unrelated ooh pretty sanseverias 😁 ....Cleopatra has been eluding me for over a year tho
Also what is with all the different names? I've got a star green granite and a star canyon granite that I swear is just silver blue and coppertone but when you bring it up some people swear up and down they are different variants while other say it's just a different name growers use to sell them on. I can't get a straight answer, someone need to make a big ol' chart....with pictures!
I enjoy watching your videos and have leaned a lot, I have a few snake plants, and have noticed a lovely yellow green flower on my common trifasciata snake plant and have been told they don't flower very often. It is growing outside in full sun. I live in Albany Western Australia in a cooler climate.
After watching this video I have decided I’m gonna go with all kinds of different snake plants. I have a few now and I’m tired of wasting my money on things that are so hard to keep alive. I would like to thank you for this video for finally making my mind up about what I was gonna do. I know I won’t be able to find most of the ones that you have but I’m gonna do my best. Thank you so much and keep up the good work.
Such a fun video. Love snake plants, your collection makes me want to get more.
so glad you enjoyed the video😊 thanks so much for watching!!💜✨✨

Wow!, I did not know there were a big variety of Snake plant, I have one at home and I am not watering it because I want it to put a flower. Thanks for showing your collection and tell us about all of them.
Hi! Please water your snake! Only a senior snake plant will flower, and even that is rare. Hope this helps! Blessings! Rev. J
@@jackiegoodrich1351 , I did water it, my plant is 8 years old and keep having babies that I give away. Thank you.
Loved this video - as someone who also loved snake plants they're not talked about enough! Your collection is amazing! My favourite snake plant in mine is a sanseveria black dragon (I think?)
