    Covering sports in a unique way since 2018.
    If you’re looking for high quality sports content, then this is the channel for you! I’ve covered Baseball (NCAA, LLWS, MLB), Football (NCAA, NFL), Softball (NCAA), Basketball (NBA, NCAA), Hockey (NHL), and much more!
    The best part of my work as a UA-camr is being able to provide coverage of sports that may not receive as much attention as they should to the large audience I have built over the years. Many of the sports I cover aren't posted by any other UA-camrs, which makes this channel that much more important.
    One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
    I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

    HPU called it bad for both sides. I seen OU strike out looking on outside pitches too. Jordy “Rise” Bahl was abusing the Nole hitters. Zero runs has never won a game.
    Look for Gasso to stay with Bahl for game 2. She is so strong, and in tip top shape. Gasso has shown consistently that she will ride the hot pitcher in the Finals. May and Storako (sp?) are pretty good “Plan B’s” though.

      I umpired in baseball games and people must understand something. If the calls are consistent, without favoring either team, it's up to the batters to protect the plate. The game was forever long with the weather delays. The ump was probably trying to avoid calling another 9 inning game and I really don't blame him for that. That being said, missing the hit by pitch is almost inexcusable. You can hear when that occurs. It's like a force play at 1st base, you watch the bag for the runner touching and listen for the ball striking the glove. The game wasn't terribly umpired, but it could have been better.

    I think the coaches that come in to face OU are missing a critical part of the changing pitchers frequently stratedgy. The pitcher you play still has to be really good. It actually worked both ways in the game. When I played baseball, I was coached to cut at anything close with 2 strikes. Nobody ever coached me to leave it to the umpire to decide on anything close. Also, having umpired games, I saw consistent calls. Remember that a strike is any part of the ball over any part of the white of the plate at the front of the plate between the batter's knees and armpits. It doesn't matter where the catcher catches the ball. OU is a really good 2 strikes, 2 out hitting team. That was the major difference. FSU was trying to draw walks, instead of defending the plate.

    • @tsmiles_
      @tsmiles_ Рік тому +1

      @@willamclark8992 That Ump wasn't calling belly button high a strike and was wildly inconsistent on the same pitches being called balls vs strikes. As a hitter, if they are calling things so crazy it absolutely affects your entire approach at the plate and what you have to swing at. The FSU girls still needed to capitalize when they did get runners on and clean up the errors, but to pretend that the early strike out on ball calls had no impact when it matter is like putting your head in the sand. Its a game of inches and momentum and nothing kills momentum more than feeling like you are being robbed at the plate.

      @willamclark8992 Рік тому +1

      I am neither putting my head in the sand nor saying anything untrue. You're right, the ump didn't call anything above the bellybutton for EITHER team and most of the players would have to be 3 feet tall for the low strikes. But, there wasn't any inconsistency between the calls of one team versus the other. And that is the actual question. OU was just better at reading the ump and adjusting to the pitching and umpire calls. I learned playing ball to choke up on the bat and protect the plate on anything close with 2 strikes. @@ripclaybourne just obvious observance. I do not watch softball, is that normal to get a foot off the plate?

    Did Oklahoma's pitcher stop doing an entire dance routine for every pitch or did you just edit it out so the video wouldn't be an hour? 😂

    Wouldn’t that ball at 8:10 be considered a ground rule double? It was over the white line and off the metal fence… could be wrong but thought that would qualify

      It bounced off the wall and it stayed in so it's optional.. only if the ball bounced over the wall then it's a ground rule double 👍

      Yes, but the player must throw up their hands and most importantly not play the ball. She played the ball that keeps it alive.

      It definitely hit below the white line. Took me a few watches too.
