I haven't seen a team except maybe Michigan (so long ago it doesn't matter) that can read the release and break of a pitcher in real time like these last few seasons. They are constantly watching and adjusting throughout the lineup to what she pitching them. You can't beat this lineup with good pitching because someone will adjust and catch the pitcher or the infield flat-footed and a error or bad pitch will happen and it's over. Those hitters are beyond elite and I'm not a Oklahoma fan it's just facts. These teams don't play team's like this during the season were you are crushing to a victory in the bottom of 7th and get blasted from nowhere when you're not as focused
Canady was simply amazing - the best pitcher in the nation against a mostly right handed batting lineup. Thankfully, Jordy is also an absolute stud, and she kept Stanford in check until our bats finally drove in the winning runs. I was so glad to see Nicole May bounce back after the rough first and pitch several very good innings. She has been excellent, and we may well need her and Storako in the championship series. I tip my hat to Stanford. Boomer!
A little something about Stanford softball. Every out by Sooner batters was greeted by players waving bye and smirking. After both losses, none of their players joined in post game prayer (either game) and yet every other opponent did. Classless
Canaday will be the next Jenny Finch....She is a scary monster at that mound...Head up girl, you got a bright future ahead of you. As for Jordy "BOOM!" Bahl... SHE WILL BE THE NEXT JORDY BAHL..😁😁She just made the GOAT status...DAMN....I LOVE THESE LADIES!!!!!LET'S GO!!!!!OU...and BTW is it just me or are these fielders have an amazing guns. The outfielders just incredible with their arms!!!!💪💪💪
Woman has so much more class than the MLB players when they get hit with a ball. They just shake it off and take there base. MLB players act like 5 year olds and call each other names and want to fight.
Just something to Consider, the ball is coming 30-40 mph faster, with a smaller, harder baseball that can literally kill you if hit in the head. A softball coming at 65 mph is a lot easier to shake off. Again, just something to consider.
@@ProjectAthleteAL Not that fast but i have been hit when i played and the only thought in my mind was i am now on base and did not have to run. If they fight then both players should be kicked out for several games and a big fine. They are supposed to be pros not little kids that whine
@@caseyellersick6427 The women throw the ball faster than 65 and if you get hit in the head it could still kill you. I know it is smaller and faster still no reason to run out and want to fight. Just take your base. Better than striking or flying out
@@derekmajors3615 Is that why they lost 2-0 last week and 4-2 in 9 innings to a team that should've wiped the floor with them? If Stanford had timely hitting they would've won Thursday's game and probably today too.
@@ElmerFudd16 You could easily say if OU hit better in that game Stanford loses by 7. To me you are disrespecting a team that finds ways to win. People like you just love to play the "what if" game anytime the top team plays a close game. It goes both ways sir. I am not a fan of either team, but no one is on OU's level.
One of the hardest fought games yet against the Sooners and they come closer to the dreaded Law of Averages and just maybe my Lady Noles will make that happen!
That "Thing" is a young woman who happens to the best pitcher in only her Freshman year with mad respect from coaches of other teams. OU has an amazing team all around with an amazing legacy. I wonder if any of the OU team would refer to Canary as a Thing. Probably not they seem to have a lot of class and respect for opponents and confidence in each other to do their jobs on the field. Mad props Ladies.
As a OU fan kudos to Stanford this was the best 2 games of the series. Canday is a monster on the mound.
this, Canady is great, nasty pitches. Will help OU a lot when they see just "good" pitching
Definitely “ nasty” 😂

Kudos to the Stanford fans for not making excuses like the Tennessee fans
Can’t wait to see what’s in store for Canaday in her career. What an amazing pitcher
Oklahoma softball is so good
Wonderful game. Pure class from both teams!
I’m excited, I just bought tickets to game 2 for me and my dad for Father’s Day. Hopefully we take game one and we’ll witness the title sealing win
Got tickets to game 2 as well and hoping for the same. Boomer!!

Jordy Bahl is a beast. She looks like a predator on the prowl. She intimidated the batters.
So proud of ya'll.

'post game prayer'...🙄
@@naturallaw1733 ya ....every team that the Sooners player participated in it.
Just cuz you're a loser
After that first inning, Nicole contained them, nothing on the board, and what do you say about jordy I just love that kid. 😊

That big pitcher for Stanford just stopped that stomp dance. Lol 😂 😅😊. If the right ones don’t get you the left ones will.
Canady is good no doubt! But We'd beat them again...and again. OU is TOO TOO GOOD
AND THAT'S WHY TIERE JENNINGS IS MY FAVORITE SUPERSTAR!!!!! When you're down....you bounce back for the KILL!!!!
👏One team left..BOOMER!
I'd take Bahl over Canady any day of the week.
Canady es una guerrera. Muy buena actuación, pero sooners tienen muchas herramientas para ganar.

I agree, they have a lot of class but have you ever been hit with a baseball at 95+???
Ronald, tell me you’re taking a 94 mph fastball to the rib cage and tell me that you’re going to be lolly skipping to first base.

If Stanford had better hitting, they most likely win.
Yup! They basically lost the game themselves
