its essentially a long bar that is hinged onto the lift, it is opened once the lift goes downwards and touches something that would push it upwards. (this also means your lift has to start a tiny bit upwards for the purple guard to work)
we had worse first game it got stuck on the red cube holder got 10 pts second game gyro died 0 pts third game it backed into a red cube while trying to dump and the cube shut down the program

I used to have a color sensor but I took it off, I have a gyro sensor now
