Topens ET24 Installation

Hope this helps everyone that has trouble with the receiver catching the latch. My gate opener model is a Topens AT1202. Everyone's settings will be different, but the key is to have your Soft Close at ZERO!

Thanks. Saw your Amazon review with reference to this video. I have just ordered an opener kit and will install that soon. The lock will be added soon after, and this will definitely help, since most negative reviews just said it doesn't latch on double doors.
As a related question... I was also told (by the vendor) that these actuator arm openers aren't recommended for solid panel doors - without any further explanation. I have to *assume* it's due to wind load on the actuators from the solid panel vs fence-type gates. I will still go ahead with one of these on a barn door style garage door. Have you had any issues with wind stressing the actuators? (The lock will likely help when doors are closed) Thanks again.

No I have not had any issues at all. It was the wind concern that actually prompted me to go with the AT1202, as I knew it was overkill for the vinyl fence. I don’t ever have the gates open long enough to be a concern. However, I do now have two drop rods on both gates that in case I plan to have them open all day, I drop the rods and pull the power cord. The electronic lock takes care of the problem when they’re closed.

For the solar style are they still wires that you need to run to control panel from both sides and how did you hide the wire for the opposite side of the control panel
